Summer sat in class as the teacher droned on... "Blah blah...Greeks say Prometheus...blah...sun gods....blah blah....demonstrate...hello? Summer? Summer, please demonstrate to the class how to use fire." Summer stood up and gave a toothy grin and walked to the front. Who was going to make her use fire? A threat with a call to her mother who was off who-knows-where? A "bad grade that will go on your little super record? She pulled out a box of matches and lit a book on fire. "Any questions?" she turned to the class as she stomped out the fire. The teacher gave her a grim frown, but didn't say anything. Summer returned to her seat and listened to the teacher's boring lecture. Then the the speaker crackled and the principals voice boomed. "Summer Cedars, please report to the Examination room at once." Summer sighed, picked up her stuff, and walked down to the room.

Raven went into line behind a girl with pink highlights and... Cat ears? WEIRD.
"Hey.... So, you don't know your power either?" Raven asked.

"Me too." Suddenly the loudspeaker made a horrible squealing noise and announced, "Summer Cedars, please report to the Examination room at once." Raven frowned.

Summer walked into a long line in front of a door labeled "Examination". She saw the black-haired girl talking to a girl with cat ears...? Summer wondered if she was some sort of cat mutant or something. She fiddled with her hair clip as she waited.

Everyone turned and stared when "Summer Cedars" made her entrance. Except that boy, he was looked a the counter where the examinations where.... Examinating people with a dead bored expression on his face. "Aren't you excited?" Raven asked.
He turned. "No. I already know." He smiled. Suit yourself, she thought.

Raven laughed. "I wasn't going to ask, actually. She saw her looking at the new entrance girl and turned to see "Summer" staring at them and toying with her hair.
"What?" Raven scowled.

Summer stopped as the line of people stared at her. "What? Never seen a person named Summer?" she snarled and pulled out her book. She glanced over to see the cat-eared girl to pull of the ears. Summer sighed with relief. She decided to make small talk and walked over to the group. "Do you guys have any idea what your power is?"

Jade followed Raven's eyes to see Summer looking at them. Jade's eyes flashed blue just for a second. Then she just slumped back.

Jade suddenly caught interest in something she always loved. Her hands falls back to her thigh, and on her tight grey skinny jeans is her bow & arrow keychain that turns into a real one when she needs it. *Jade sighs, and just clutches it*

"WAKE UP, CAT GIRL. WAKE UP!!!" Summer shook her, slapped her, did everything. Then, a tiny bit of power awakened in her. 'Nice timing.' she mentally praised herself. Summer superheated her own fingertips and singed the girls arms. "C'mon. Get up." she said, hoping her trick would work.

Jade snaps back into the present. She just felt slapped. She was being defensive, so she elbowed the girl against her shoulder and the girl staggered back.

"Over here!" An examiner waved to Raven. She gave her new friends an anxious glance then made her way over to the counter. She felt /his/ eyes on her but refused to look over her shoulder. The examiner was an middle-aged man with glasses and an expression that said he wanted this over and done so he could have his lunch break.

@trish you don't need to just go to the characters page and then post your chacter. You don't need to you've already been registed. I have to go I just need to set up the chat room tomorrow and you can begin posting just use this for now! THanks

The examiner laid out four crystals in front of Raven. She gave them a doubtful look and glanced at the examiner.
"Well, touch one!" He snapped. Annoyed, she touched the closest, a deep blue. Nothing happened. She felt stupid and touched a lush green one. Nothing. The examiner looked impatient.
The next one was a firey red. Again, nothing. She supposed these were like the elements, you know, water, plants or earth, fire and ... air? She touched the clear see-through one. A pause. Nothing. The examiner looked perturbed and took out a deep purple crystal. Psychic? She was excited. She touched it.
Nothing. The examiner ran his fingers through his hair and muttered, "... Must be a mistake... Talk to the Board..."
Raven looked scandalized.

Jade gets really tired of waiting. So she decided to sit down. But a vision blurred into her, and she could see raven touching crystals infront of her. Then Jade took in a terrible headache. But the feeling soon snapped away. Then she thought, could I mess with that girl Summer? O. o

Suddenly /he/ pushed through. "You're wrong." He told the examiner, "She's with me."
The examiner looked startled for a minute them smiled. "If you can prove it...?"
"Sure." He said calmly, and pulled out a pure black crystal from his pocket. What was with these dumb crystals? Raven supposed she was meant to touch this as well. She reached out and touched it lightly. It felt naturally cold and smooth. It pulsed black light and he smiled at her.

Jade got outraged from waiting, and she hammered the door. Her hand fell back to the keychain, she grabbed it, and it turned into a natural bow and arrows arranged by what they do. She grabbed a explosive one, readied it for launch, then sighed, remembering her promise, and snapped it into a keychain again.

Summer's eyes widened as Jade grabbed a little bow and arrow keychain and turned it into a full sized bow. "Um, I'm guessing this is your power?" Summer said, watching as Jade clicked the keychain back to it's original form. But then an examiner waved her over. Summer followed the lady into an office where she could see the black-haired girl through a window. The lady laid out a bunch of items. A feather, a bowl of water, some charcoal, a leaf. Then she laid down an amulet with an image of an eye, and after some hesitation, she laid down a chunk of obsidian. "Hey, what about the crystals, like her?" Summer pointed through the window at Raven. "Oh, the rest of them just love the crystals, 'Theyre so easy to use and store,' they say. But they aren't as accurate as these. Go ahead. Touch em'." Summer took one last look and began to touch them. First the leaf. Nothing. Then water. Nada. The amulet. Zero. The obsidian. Nope. The feather was different. A little breeze blew it into Summer's hand. The lady jotted something down on a notepad. Then the charcoal. It burst into flames. Summer quickly extinguished it with the water, giving a nervous laugh. The lady took a long look at her, and wrote something else down. "Head on back to class, kid." and that was something Summer was glad to do.
