Wait, wouldn't this be a cool power to have? "Everytime you lie, people believe you?" Kinda like the "Invention of Lying! " movie. 😸

My hand shook as I turned the doorhandle. I stepped in, took once last look back, and then gently closed closed the door.
The room was utterly black. It struck me as strange, considering they knew my power to be shadows. I took another step forward, then the light flickered on, so bright it nearly physically hurt. I blinked and took an involuntary step back. Looking around, I was in a perfect square room. Nothing happened for long enough for me to wonder what the heck I was meant to do.
Then I say a blur of color. Realizing too late what it was I caught the full force of the blow and staggered. So it was a fight. I straightened and clenched my fists. This guy was a speed user. I could play that game too. He stopped, his eyes wide, and I caught him from behind, then flashed back.
He looked at me. "They told me you were a shadow user."
I guess they say it the same in Spain. "You were misinformed."

*** EPIC BATTLE SCENE!!! ***
Just kidding. If you were watching, you wouldn't have seen much, just some random blurs and sometimes someone doubling over or looking round the room all paranoid. It might have been three hours by now, maybe four. But then I realized.
HE WAS FIGHTING TO KILL.

Jade had an idea.... She quickly went to her room, pulled on a TWILIGHT T-SHIRT, TEAM JACOB OF COURSE. When she passed by a girl in the hall, she nearly fainted because she must LOVE Jacob. Jade was also listening to songs on her iPod and wearing her favorite pair of skinnies and converses. Ariel looked shocked with what I was wearing, well, the shirt. Ariel was NOT a fan of Twilight. Jade said,"He's gorgeous!" Ariel gave Jade a questioning look, but shook it off. "No one else is here right now..... After Kuro, I think I have to go, cause Ivy isn't here.." Ariel fretted. "If I were you, and I've only received very little information about this, but, prepare to fight." Jade said. "Oh. Well, I hope Kuro's okay in there...." Ariel said because even though she doesn't like them, not even as friends much, actually, she didn't know what to say, they weren't friends and they weren't enemies.

Suddenly I had an idea. The room filled with water. He froze, holding his breath. Good. I used it to pin him down, knocked him out, and the water vanished. That had used a lot of my energy. Now I hesitated. I'd won, what now? I froze in horror. Surely it wasn't necessary, I didn't need to...? I couldn't kill, I couldn't do it!

*NOVEMBER 19, 1998.*

No... No! I was shaking. This can't be happening... Couldn't have happened.

*"JUST DO IT!!!" Riley yelled. The gun was at my feet, in my hand.*

LIES! It was all... All lies, all of it! I fell to my knees, my head in my hands.

*My hand was slick with sweat, numb with cold. Riley yelled my name. In a dream state, I raised my hand, and pulled the trigger.*

What I'd been denying for two years.
You're right. It was all lies. Like everything in my life. I could kill. I'd killed before. And I've killed again.
I found the doorhandle, summoned up the strength to turn it, and blacked out.

Jade heard the door handle turn. "Kuro?" Jade said. "Kuro? Are you okay?" I looked at Ariel. She looked devastated. "I know, there was a room full of water in there." Ariel said. Jade decided to contact Riley. 'Riley, come down to the Special room hallway thingie. I think something bad has happened to Kuro.' She telepathically told Riley.

*If you say so.* Jade returned back. Ariel pressed her ear to the 'Special' room, but she couldn't hear a thing. "It's gonna be okay." Jade told her. "Hey look, I'm gonna go make sure my powers are fully charged, meaning I'mma go to the pool and rest there. Stay here?" Ariel told Jade. "Okay." After a few minutes, Jade returned from the vending machine with a bag of Doritos and munched on them.

*Dude, Kuro just fainted besides me.* She told Riley. Jade nudged him with her shoe. "Dorito? Guess not." Jade joked. But this is not the time to joke. Jade was FINALLY gonna do something good for his sake. Jade walked TO THE VENDING MACHINE again, bought a bottle of water, returned, and LITERALLY HEAVED Kuro into what looks like a more comfortable position. She put the water besides him.

Riley didn't reply. He had survived. The last thing Kuro would want to see would be him.

(They have cameras in every room.) A nurse quickly found Kuro and took him to the infirmity. He was still unconscious. He'd been fighting for almost five hours.

Jade called Ariel. "Your turn sweetie." Ariel's face turned pale. She slowly walked here. She paused, hugged Jade, and entered the room. Square. Blank. Trapped. Then her instincts told her to drop down. A torch a fire whizzed by her head. 'I don't understand. Why use fire? My water powers can easily --' Ariel thought. Then she realized. There WAS no water in this room. But right after she realized, the room burst into fire, trapping Ariel in the middle. She barely managed to stay alive. The raging heat, the bright flames. And she couldn't extinguish it without water. But Ariel concentrated. Hard. Then her eyes shined bright, and with a flick of her hand, water started seeping through the door, but it made the fire rage brighter. But Ariel tensed every muscle in her body. She felt weird, she spit in her palms, and willed the water the increase, and it did. And it burst through the entire room. But after the fire ceased, a sonic boom hit her. Ariel was temporarily deaf. But nothing attacked her. She heard the slightest voice in the room. but she couldn't take it, she has gone a little mad. She twisted the handle to the door, it opened. And she crashed into everything until she reached the pool.

The nurse pulled Ivy out of the room. "Almost you r turn for Special, dearie." the nurse said. "But I..." Ivy faked a cough "Still haven't recovered yet."
"You're fine." the nusre firmly told Ivy. "But you won't be for long." She mumbled under her breath.

I blinked me eyes open. Where was I? Or, why was I here? I looked around the infirmity. Then it hit me. What had happened... That had really happened... I got up, and nearly ran to my room, locking myself in.

Jade passed by the pool, seeing that Ariel is at the bottom and is not moving down there is a clear sign that she is recovering. Ariel doesn't need to breathe down there. Then Jade walked down to the infirmary, checked on Kuro. And just sat there. Hey, she has nothing better to do.
