It can't be exactly the same, cause at the end almost all the dragons leave Alagaesia, so... 😋
Some of this I just made up to be realistic 😋

50 years ago, Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, purged Alagaesia of it's tyrant king and set the leader of the Varden, Nasuada, as High Queen of the Empire. Since then, she has retired and her son taken her place.
The Dwarves and the Urgals, now included in the great enchantment that bonds dragons to their riders, all live in peace and harmony with humans and the elves, now ruled by Queen Ayra. (For now).
Every child of all four of the races are presented the dragon eggs given to the riders to see if one will hatch for them. If it does, then they are taken to the city of Ilirea, what was Uru'baen, and trained by an Elder, one to three per Elder.
The purpose of the dragon riders was to keep the peace between the races, although recently they have become unnecessary due to the flourishing peace.

Something like that?

"Sandre! Sandre! Good god girl, I'm too old to go chasing you across the countryside!" A gigantic bronze-scaled dragon landed beside Sandre and she leaped up and curtsied. "Master, my apologies!" She looked at the ground as if ashamed. Then her eyes darted up again to look at him. "But.. You really aren't THAT old are you?" She asked skeptically.
"That hurts," her master sighed, brushing long hair like starlight out of his face, which looked only about ten years older than hers.
She frowned in confusion and wondered if he wanted to be old, and if he did, don't all elves look how they do by choice? Sandre sighed in envy and called out in her mind, *Emerald! Time to come down!*
*Must I?* Her dragon sighed as he alighted beside her. *Very well.*

"Remind me when Emerald will be able to carry you?" Shadrefel asked Sandre impatiently, looking at the shining green dragon.
Khandor let out a deep rumbling chuckle of amusement at his rider. *Three more months, and try to remember, those are one moon cycle each, thirty days, more or less.*
"Thanks, I'll do my best," Shadre said sarcastically. "So come on girl, what are you waiting for, we haven't got all day!"
Sandre looked up at him. "Of course Master!" She scrambled up onto Khandor's back.
*Actually, we do,* Emerald eyed Khandor jealously but followed after the older dragon flapped his great wings and lifted off.

Oliver starts packing for the trip, preparing food and water for the 3 of them. "You'll have to get your own food, Niamh and Jasper's dragon, Alex. I don't have a big enough backpack for 3 day's worth of a dragon's water and food."
Niamh nodded, *Thats ok. We will have to rest every now and then, and time for hunting too. That will probably put us behind at 4 days of traveling.*
