...ruined the creature's rarity so bad :/
I recently checked The Archives...it doesn't look so good. I understand that it was a nice little thing for the holidays, and helped some users, but it really hurt others. I mean, didn't @Ian say he'd never release them again?

Now there are still angry users who didn't get some, collectors with all their work gone to waste and plain old protesters.

I'm not really mad about it, it just kind of hurts me to see everyone unsatisfied with a gift.

:/ What do you guys think?

I think everyone is just a little too worked up. Just be happy Ian did something nice, he didn't have to do anything for us and he did.

~Please don't get mad at opinions, it's not worth quitting (like i know some users are quitting now)

The rarity is gonna go back to normal pretty soon. With creatures non-imortalized, some will die. Also, the people who didnt get any can just trade thier creatures. No big deal. Besides, the rarity of the re-released creatures is still around the rarity of a CC, so you can at least be happy about that. One more thing. The users who were not around when they were first released in '09 are really happy about it.

@glazzie

@Ian released them for 12 hours to keep their rarity low. If you look in the Trade Center, you will see that they are already going up to their normal amounts. It'll only be a few weeks when the collectors can be satisfied again because the value is back up to normal. Their work hasn't gone to waste, at least I don't think so. But Ian promised that it actually won't happen again after this, I saw it on another forum. 😊

@Jazzyleia

I don't think people should quit over this either.
Agreed

@Sarahsaurus

I guess, but they'll drop only by a little.
Because everyone is immoralizing them.

@Rawrcookies08

They shouldn't be. :/

I think it's stupid people are quitting over it. If everyone quit over one thing bad that happened on Eggcave there would be like no one lefft. Rarity may of went down, but DEMAND is at an all time high, That's MY opinion.

To be honest, everyone shouldn't look at the bad side of things. They were rereleased to make us happy, not so everyone could rant and quit.

They rarity went down about 20, which isn't that bad.
It's not like their worth Yeeps now. ;]

@whitefall I think Foos only went down about 10, and to be honest, I don't care about RARITY, I care about looks.
And if I collected them, I'd be over the moon 😋

Well.... Actually, if they re-released Yubbys n'stuff, I'd die off horror, because then I'd have to get more and that would just be too many >o<
Well, actually, I don't have enough Yubbies. I have enough Chocobs and Flunnies, but I lack Yubbies.
I need a couple of Flaren too.
BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT XD

I feel it didn't bring down rarity by much at all. A creature's rarity is only what others make it to be. 20 can be released, and people can all want just a cc pet. They'll be worth one cc. 20 can be released, and people can all want is onnies. They'll be worth onnies.
I don't believe people should've got all worked up. It's not like they were cc's in '09. They were cave creatures. Going on about How 'They said they would NEVER be re-released again! Liars!' isn't helpful. When you own eggcave, you make your decisions.

I don't really care about, I personally thing the Foo looks kinda ugly. XD
The Roo is "Meh" but I like the last Stage Florn, but not TOO much. XD

I just like the Treelars. ❤ī¸
And as a medicore collector, i'm happy about this. ^^
I might actually get a Treelar Egg, or maybe another Treelar! 8D *excited*

I personally feel it was very nice and thoughtful of Ian to re-release them at all. It provided hope (although not a guarantee) for those who weren't around in 2009 when they were originally released. I don't understand why he received so much criticism for it. And the fact that he only re-released them for 12 hours was "nice" for the collectors out there. I feel like this won't really lower their overall value much. After all, value, like all things, is relative.

Yes, @ian did it for us but what about the users who wanted them so badly then missed it since it was Christmas after all, it feels a little unfair for them (like me)

I agree with Thursdays_dove on this and I'd like to add that Ian really made sure to retire them before 12 midnight, so people really only had one chance. Plus I think these creatures are too awesome to be unattainable.

Back in 2009 I really hoped these creatures would simply be returning each year, they're the perfect Christmas creatures, especially Roo, Swornt and Treelar. There have been hardly any x-mas creatures with the quality of the 2009 ones. The only ones coming close to the 'x-mas feel' of these are the Schnee, Berr, Snolo and Engel. The only x-mas creature truly up to par with the 2009 ones is the Guinstar, it's just as gorgeous and just as wintery/christmassy. Don't get me wrong, I like most of the others too, but they just don't have what it takes to truly get me in the x-mas mood.

Be honest, what makes you feel more like christmas: finding a Christmas tree in the cave or finding a tiger with a Christmas wreath on its back? XD

I was glad Ian rereleased them, cause I was having some real trouble finding an awesome christmas present for my friend on here, now I have the best ever 😊

I think it's nice,the foo rarity is increasing by the minute and a lot of people get their dream creatures.It is always the look that counts.I would personally be very happy if doovoos and onnies are in the cc shop again.

Eventually some of the re-released creatures will die because of neglect.

Deleted • 27 December 2011 at 8:10 AM

@haunted Ian said he's not re-releasing anymore creatures because of the reaction to this one. D;
And he'd better not re-release onnies and doovoos, that would ruin the site. D8

Honestly, can't anyone be happy about what ian did? D: I thought it was very kind, and allowed some people to get their dream creatures. The only reason he re-released them on christmas day was because there weren't as many people on as there would be on a regular day.

So people who say that everyone should get at least one egg, everyone should've gotten a chance, is wrong. That would just ruin everything for the site. It would make the rarity just.. explode. xD The creatures will eventually die off anyways, so everything will go back to normal later.

I also wish people would stop whining about missing the release, too. Obviously they really 'loved' the creatures, and wanted one badly, but it was their fault for missing out, not ours. :/

I agree it was kind but it messed up the rarity ☚ī¸
