Marcus looked at Kyra, but said nothing. It was obvious that not only was he avoiding going after them, but he was suppressing a lot of power. He then grabbed Claria, who had just thrown herself at him, and he flew high up, then he began flying in the direction they had just come from, he was much too high for Kyra's plants to reach, and he was flying fast.

Meanwhile, Drake, Kris and Jo kept going on their journey to the lab where the so called "Father" was. On the way Drake told them about how they say that the "Father" is the creator of the elementals, he runs the EPC, he is the head of all of it, and he is in a secret lab far away. "Not all of those rumors are true, because it was MY father who created the Elementals."

"Oh." Jo said. "It sucks that it went all downhill... your dad started out and it was all good, the clones were good, and then the not actual 'Father' created me and Kris and all them, and now we're mutant freaks." She looked down. "I wish I was normal, but that ain't gonna happen, so I gotta deal with this."

"No, I will recreate my fathers work when we're done with this, and you and Kris, and everyone else will be normal." Drake suddenly said. Kris looked at Drake and smiled. "I believe you can do it Drake. I believe you can cure us." She said.

Marcus loosened his grip, not enough for her to get away, but enough for her to breath. "Better?" He smiled. He took her far away from the area. He reached a small woods, where he landed at a little fresh water spring. He set her down next to the water, it was getting dark. Why was he letting her out of his grip? Did he trust she would not run?

Drake, Jo and Kris started off, the journey ahead was still long. They drove for a long time when something appeared ahead. It looked like a person walking towards them. Drake sped up ahead of the two and leaped off his motorcycle at the person, flipping in the air and landing behind them, his knife at their neck. Kris and Jo looked at each other. "Bad guy?" Kris asked as they approached. "Is there something you need?" The lady asked as Drake stood there with the knife. "No, but you can tell us why you're here." He replied. "I was taking a walk." She answered sarcastically. "This is no time for jokes!" He said pulling the knife closer to her neck. "Listen, I'm just here to do a job." She said. "Yeah, what kind of job?" Drake asked. "How many questions are you going to ask me? I'm retrieving a runaway." She answered "He gets around fast so he'll pop up somewhere." She added. She had smooth black hair in a ponytail, wore a overseer uniform, and she had a sword on her back, she had pretty much no expression on her face. "Would you mind telling me who you are?" Drake asked. "Alice. I'm obviously an overseer so don't ask." She replied.

She was put on dry land, "Why did you do this?" she asked, "I know you don't trust me!"

Shooting an angry look at the overseer, Jo circled her slowly. She reached the back of the lady and ripped the sword off of her uniform. "Nice to have a weapon, for some reason I never thought of that!" She remarked. "Give it BACK!" The overseer lady screeched. "We're NOT people who you would want to mess with." Jo said, and, dropping the sword, stood up straight. She spread her fingertips, and felt the usual tingly warmth before two giant columns of flame shot out of her hands.

Watching Markus fly away, Kyra plopped down indian style on the ground. Liz looked at her puzzled, while Roy and Tirgress ran a head after Claria. "I'm reaching out with plants to see the land. I can see about a 100 mile radius and feel where they are for about 500 miles." She motioned for Liz to set down by her. Closing her eyes to focus, Kyra saw Drake, Kris and Jo meeting a new girl. Roy and Tirgress entering the jungle and Markus landing with Claria. Bingo- she grabbed Liz and let the ground envelope them both.

Claria looked over and saw them,"I comepletely hate Markus! He brings me out in the middle of nowhere! Then her drops me in a big pile of..DUNG! EWWWWWW!" She became a panther and plunged into the crystal clear pool. Almost instantly, the pool started to glow...

@moonlightfaerie Please try not to make the characters in the story look to dumb, Alice wouldn't have cared that her sword was taken. 😋

"Wait! The water's not safe!" Marcus flew into the water, he pulled Claria out. "You don't want to be swimming in that." He said taking off his coat and wrapping her in it to dry her off. "It's contaminated, if you want a drink, you'll have to wait."

Alice glared at Jo. "You think you're so tough, hothead." She said. Then she quickly disappeared and reappeared, grabbed her sword, then teleported the same way about 10ft from Drake. "Three on one's not fair you know, I want to fight you." Alice said pointing at Drake. "Very well." He answered. "What? Why are you doing this?" Kris yelled as Drake and Alice got ready to fight. "Go on ahead, I'll catch up." Drake answered. Kris shot Jo a worried look, but she trusted Drake, so she ran to her motorcycle. "Come on Jo!" She called.

She glared at him, "I didn't want a drink...I wanted to get this DUNG off me that you dropped me in!" She was hissing. The panthers ice blue eyes giving him a chill down his spine.

@takatheeducatedkid wait, what? Alice lost her weapon, I didn't write that, plus the other characters that run after Markus kept up with him, Kyra couldn't because she always rides on plants not running. She is not concerned with the other happenings but saw these things before markus landed because she was searching for him. (I didn't mean to make them sound dumb she just explained a part of her power and fugded a little bit about it). Anyway I'm sorry if I sounded like I was trying to make anyones character dumb. That was not what I ment. So please forgive me *Has moldy cheese thrown at her* Ok I deserved that.

@moonlightfaerie Um maybe you shouldn't let your plants have all those special powers, because youre kind of making Kyra all-powerful. I'm just saying, because her power is to control plants, and plants can't really, um, see things 500 miles away and become a thing for riding on. :/

Jo rode next to Kris on her motorcycle. "Well, she was a loser." She told Kris, just to break the silence. "Oh, my gosh!! I have a really good idea! It's the exact same as yours was. But I hope Drake approves." She thought for a second. "Okay, so we go to the EPC, right? And then we tell the main guy that we're here to become overseers. So, after that, we become overseers and then we get food and stuff (that would help us save money), and then we break in from the inside. We could steal weapons while we are still becoming overseers and hide them. Then we could destroy the place!" Jo looked extremely pleased with herself. "So, what do you think?"

"I don't think Drake would approve of that..." Kris said "Besides, I don't think they'll accept us now, we helped kill Karn AND Brack..."

Meanwhile Alice unsheathed her sword. "Bring it on." She said. Drake luged at her with his knife and slashed her arm, but she kicked him away, every time he landed a hit on her, she returned it tenfold. She was trained in martial arts for sure. She knocked him to the ground, he stayed on the ground, he attempted to get up but she put her foot on his chest and kept him there. "What a shame, I was expecting more of a challenge..." She said putting her sword to his neck. "What now?" She said. Drake grabbed her sword blade, grasping it tightly, his hand was bleeding. "What is that going to accomplish?" She laughed. "This." Drake answered. She now realized what he was about to do, but it was too late. He sent electric right through the blade, causing Alice to fly back, after he let go. She quickly disappeared then reappeared far away, and kept doing this until she was out of sight. Drake slowly walked back to his motorcycle.

Marcus looked at Claria. "Well, if you think you can survive here by yourself be my guest, just know that not only is the EPC after you, the military is too..." He said calmly, spreading his wings.

"Ouch." Jo said, looking at Drake's hand. She pulled a bandage out of her pocket. "Here. And yeah, I guess that wasn't the best plan, but we could go into town and buy new clothes and wigs. That probably could work." She spotted a town in the distance. Starting her motorcycle, she said "Follow me!"

Drake raised an eyebrow. "I'm fine the way I am, thanks." He said. "Too bad I ruined my gloves..." Drake mumbled, pulling a new pair out of the back of his motorcycle. "I don't want to wear a wig either." Kris said. "Besides, they'll recognize us either way, I like being myself."

The three reached yet another town, stopping for gas, getting something to eat, booking a stay at a hotel. It was 6:00pm, and Kris got an idea as soon as she saw a large ferris wheel in the middle of a festival that was going on. They where on their way to the hotel after dinner, when Kris grabbed Drake's hand and pulled him into the crowd gathered in the area. "C'mon let's have some fun for once!" She said with a smile. "Wait-" Drake tried to say. But before he could do anything they where already in their seats at the ferris wheel. "Come on Jo!" Kris called waving her arm. Drake was amazed at how fast Kris pulled him there. "If only she fought that fast." He thought.

"Cool!" Jo exclaimed. She ran to Kris and jumped into the middle seat. "Wow... this is amazing!" She said happily as they reached the top. "Look... you can see everything! We should do this more often!" She looked on the other side. "Oh.. my.. gosh!! Can we ride that?!" Jo pointed at a huge roller coaster with giant drops and even a part where the cart twists upside down. "Oh please please please, Drake? It would be so fun!" She smiled at him. "There's no way you can say no to that!"

"Fine." Drake answered. "Yess!" Kris said excitedly. They got out and went on the roller coaster. Drake didn't smile through the entire day. The two begged him to go on every ride, he agreed to every offer, but he still looked like he wasn't having fun. Kris frowned. "How do I get him to be happy?" She thought. The night came quickly, and the three sat on the side of a small bridge, looking at the lights, and the smiling faces. "Jo, can you get us some of those cheese fries? They look soo good!" Kris asked, Drake handed her a credit card. "I could go for some too." He said. The line was really long. While Jo was waiting in line, Kris looked at a girl and her boyfriend having fun. She looked at drake. "Nice night isn't it?" She said. "Yeah." He replied. "Why aren't you happy? Why don't you smile for once! You're such a downer!" She suddenly broke out. Drake looked at her. "You're wrong." He said. "Today was the most fun I've had in years." He continued. "Ever since I met you, I don't know, I can't help but picture Lisa every time I look at you..." A tear could be seen in his eye. "I'm sorry, I didn't know.." Kris said, she tried to put her hand on his shoulder, but he pushed her away. He got up, and started to walk away. "I'll see you at the hotel." he said.

Jo waited in line. She was starving! Then she heard Kris and Drake talking. Kris put her hand on his shoulder, and then he looked mad and started to walk away. "Drake!" Jo shouted. She grabbed Kris's hand and pulled her. "Come on! We have to bring him back!"

@rawrcookies08 well she can use her plants to see for that far, but can't for it for long because it would make her blind. And the riding plants, I envisioned giant fly traps growing out of the ground and Kyra jumping/being thrown to them.(I'm not mad or anything but see where your coming from)
@takatheeducatedkid It's ok. I was in a funky mood and needed to do something to make myself feel better. So no harm done.

The two couldn't keep up with Drake's fast walking. Then they got lost in a crowd, when they finally reached the hotel, Drake wasn't in the room. There was a balcony outside, and the door to it was open, the wind blew the curtains around. Kris ran out, but Drake was nowhere to be seen. "The stars always remind me of that one night." She heard a voice say. She looked up, and there on the roof, Drake was sitting, looking up at the stars. There was an unmistakable smile on his face. Kris was confused. "Wasn't he just mad at me before?" She thought. But she was happy to see him smiling. "On what night?" She asked. "The night I proposed to Lisa."
He answered. "D..did she say yes?" Kris asked. "Well, she never answered me, I often wonder whether she felt the the same way I did... then she went and died on me..." His fist tightened. "But that's in the past." He said, looking down at her, his face smiling again. "I'm sorry I overreacted back there, I just got a little worked up, but right now, I have to focus on defeating the father and freeing the Elementals." He looked at the stars again, his eyes filled with determination. "I will free them all." He said. "Yeah, but it's okay to have fun once in a while." Kris said, climbing up to the roof too.
