Jo heard a door open, then slam shut.

When Karn strutted into the room, Jo thought, 'Here we go again...' As brave as she was trying to feel, she shivered and nervously twisted her hair around her finger. Suddenly, a wave of courageousness went through her body.

Jo stared Karn straight in the eye, not letting any emotion show on her face. "Yes sir, I'm truly sorry," She said, letting the word 'sorry' drag out. "I was cooking my RAW fish. Can you please give us something that we CAN EAT? That would stop my misbehaving. I promise. But if it isn't edible I WILL have to cook it, you know.." Jo let a small flame dance across her fingertips. She hoped she would survive what Karn was going to do to her next.

Karn opened the cell and walked inside, then quickly grabbed her by the neck, raising her off the floor. "You will eat what is given to you, and if you have a problem, go ahead and misbehave, we'll see what happens..." He said sternly, she could feel his grip tightening as he spoke. "Sir?" Said the cook behind him, a little worried that he wasn't going to let go. Karn looked back at him, then back at Jo. Then he dropped her back down again, and walked out of the cell. "Maybe you'll learn to enjoy your food better now." He said as he walked back to the door, and slammed it shut again. All the Elementals let out sighs of relief, it wasn't a good sign when that door opened.

Jo gagged and coughed.

"Oh my-" She started to say, then stopped. She gave kind of a little half smile and said quietly, "I'm- alive!" Then, she looked around at all the other Elementals. "And surprisingly," Jo whispered as quietly as she could, "I think I have a plan to get out of here."

Kris noticed it too, She started to come up with her own little plan. The cook left to get meals from the kitchen for almost two minutes every day, she could explain her plan in that time, she waited patiently, knowing dinner was coming soon.

"First," Jo started, still very quiet. "I am going to start welding a hole into this bar." She pointed at the bar in the corner. A white-hot flame sprouted from her finger. "This will take a long time, I only have two minutes a day." She said. "But if you have a power that will allow you to escape, use it in SMALL amounts for approximately TWO minutes each day. Those whose powers will not let them escape, we with the powers will let you out." And with that, she started rubbing her finger against the bar.

@bluegirl80 I'm sorry, but human shapeshifting is not allowed, please choose something else, rawrcookies already was going to do that, but I also told them the same thing. I'll say it again, it's kind of a story wrecker, and other players can easily be framed for things that way.

@rawrcookies08 "I have a better idea." Kris said in reply. "I'm going to misbehave..." She said with a grin. The other Elementals overheard this, and decided they wanted in. So they thought of a plan. *Cue elaborate plan music*😋 Kris would misbehave, causing Karn to open the cell, then she would fake him out and escape, while doing this, she would open some cells, and the people from those cells, would free everyone else, and then the Elementals would head to the staff area and to the fire exit, then, FREEDOM! "Some of us could die though!" Said one of the Elementals. "It's a risk I am willing to take." Kris replied. "If I have to die to free everyone else, I will, we will all die here anyway."

"Kris, you are AMAZING!" Jo said. "But I would hate for you to die, so after you fake out Karn with your misbehaving, I'll conjure up some good ol' flames and distract him, then we'll all run away." She shot a wicked grin at Kris. We'll all find a nice big abandoned place to live in together where NO ONE will suspect us. It will be perfect!" There was a short pause and the door opened. Everyone drew in breaths, but it was just the cook. The plan would work!!

Krya waited. She figured it wouldn't hurt to wait a while longer until she crashed the place. She had all the time in the world. Plus the other elementals stuck in there seemed to be working out a plan.

She saw the thin brown haired girl use her powers to turn invisible and reapear to shove Karn around. Kyra smiled. The girl was smart. But he got to the emergency button when the girl's flame starter friend came into distrace him. Looks like it was time to help.

CRASH! Long vines and flowers burst through the left side of the building.

"Shh! The cook is here!" Kris whispered to the two. Just then the cook came over with bowls of slop. "I'M SICK OF THIS GARBAGE!!!" Kris screamed, throwing the bowl onto the floor. "I REFUSE TO EAT THIS!" As soon as she said this, the door swung open, Karn walked in exactly like last time. Kris was a little nervous, but she kept telling herself to be brave. The closer he got, the more she thought it wasn't such a good idea anymore. Somehow though, she pushed herself to stand up to him. "First it's fire brat, now you?" He said angrily. "Listen up bright eyes, I am not going to eat that slop you call food!" She replied, she spit at him, but the spit splattered on the everything-proof window of the cell. Karn's eyes grew wide with fury. "How DARE you insult me!" Kris realized she just went overboard by a mile or ten. Karn opened the cell in the blink of an eye and grabbed for her, but she had quickly ducked and turned invisible. "You can't escape!" He yelled. Kris quickly rushed out of the cell, and pressed the open button on Jo's cell, but before she could do anything else, Karn caught up and grabbed her by the neck, a loud crack could be heard, Kris's invisibility wore off as she gasped for breath...

Jo screamed and immediately burst into flame. She pushed her burning hand into the back of Karn's jacket, setting it on fire. She hoped he would drop Kris.

Karn turned his gaze to Jo, and threw Kris down on the floor. Then he threw his right fist into the window of her cell, it shattered into pieces, it wasn't supposed to do that. His coat was fire proof so the flame went out quickly, and he started to throw punches at Jo with great force.

Jo was so angry that blue and white flames shot out of her body with such force that they wrapped around Karn's knuckles. She then ran as fast as she possibly could to unlock the cages. While all the other Elementals rushed to battle Karn, Jo sprinted over to Kris. Jo warmed her hand without shooting flames and lay it on Kris's neck to fix the pain. Then, she got up, hoping Kris would too, and joined the battle for freedom.

Kyra absentmindedly flicked her hand causing the guards to be slamed into the metal wall by a giant thorny vine. Sighing, she began to turn in circles at the rolling office chair she sat in.

It had been somewhat easy to hack into the idiots computer. Anyone who's password was Karn, the hansome beast, did not deserve to be enjoying life like he was here. Serving raw and under cooked foods to children. Hitting people because he felt like it. Her eyes narrowed at that thought.

Slaming, the chair back under the desk, Kyra's creepy smile she had while entering the building returned. The names she found would have to wait. It was time she met Karn and helped th others break out.

"Wow.. you couldn't pay attention?" Jo yelled. Then she turned to this plant girl. "And who are YOU? Why are you HERE, and do you think you can just bust in here?! You could have gotten KILLED!"

Kris coughed a lot, then stood up as fast as she could. "We have to get to the fire exit in the staff break room." She said. She would have yelled, but she was not capable at the time. Karn withdrew his left arm and quickly put his hand in his pocket, but his right hand didn't even flinch. "Something's weird with his right arm..." Kris thought as she followed the others to the staff break room.

Krya just laughted at the statement not minding the others weird looks. At least someone worried about other people.
As the laughter stopped she gave the pyro girl as she dubbed her a genuine smile. "I won't die just yet."

She ran with the others to what the sign said was the staff room. Unfortunately the group had to back track because of the guards.

" What are we going to do?" the girl who distracted Karn cried.

A guard grabbed for the speaker but Krya's plant wrapped around him. "We make an exit for our selves."

Jo rolled her eyes at this new plant girl. Apparently she didn't know how powerful Karn was. And she thought she could easily just destroy Karn and all of the staff. Jo looked at the girl, thought for a second, then shot a 10 foot long flame into the air above her. "I'm not someone you want to mess with, princess." She said angrily. "So back off, or help."

Karn was not about to let them all get away. He charged after the group. He pulled a gun out of his pocket and started to shoot at them. Screams and yells where heard throughout the group as they stormed the halls, then one of the group members used their powers to close up the hall behind them. Karn threw himself at it angrily and yelled. "I WILL GET YOU!!!" They all finally reached the exit door. "There should be a big truck used for shipping equipment outside, you all need to get in!" Kat said to the people. "Wait, I'll drive! You where not created to drive so you don't know how!" Said the cook coming out of a different door. "Karn will be here soon, so we have to act quickly!" Kris knew he was right, they had no choice but to trust him. "Very well." Kris answered. "In the truck people!"

As the group was tossed around Krya turned her face to get a better look ot the guy driving. She had seen his face somewhere. Oh well she would figure out later. It wasn't any of the faces Krya had memorized by heart so it couldn't be that important.

"Can we stop in the next town, I believe it's called Livenston?"

She felt heat near the doors. "You can't have every thing you want! And what makes you think we are going to make it, princess!" The fire girl hissed.

Krya was again deep in thought. Where had she heard that nickname? Whoever had said it she must not have liked because she felt a disire to kill the speaker.

She flashed Firefly (her new name for the girl) a twisted grin. "Well, that's my stop to leave this oh so wonderful group."

Turning back to the hole and looking in the mirror, Kyra saw the cars closing in. "Looks like they have almost caught us." Then a wild, murderous gleam appeared in her eyesas she turned back to Flirefly. "Ever smelled burnt rubber?"

The cook was driving with Kris in the passenger seat. Kris could tell that he was afraid of the people chasing them. "Doesn't this car go faster?" She asked a little worried. "Yeah, but, I might lose control if I speed up." The cook answered, trying to concentrate on the road.
Kris got out of her seat and went through the door to the back. "listen up everyone! I'm going to turn this whole truck and everyone in it invisible! It will take a huge amount of power to do so, and the only people who will be able to see us are people who are invisible too, that means you will be able to see me. I will start to think differently and might decide that theres no hope left, but if I do, I want you to snap me out of it, and remind me what we are doing and why, kind of like a slap in the face. After all, huge amounts of power can mutate the mind, and if that happens, more power is used, and the next stage is a mutated monster that can no longer rationalize like a human, or even be called human..."

"Kris! I've got an idea that will go great with yours!" Jo smiled, then heard the plant creep ask her something. "Yes, tree hugger, I have smelled burnt rubber. And you are about to smell A LOT like it." She turned back to Kris. "I'll shoot a column of fire into the air, and that will make the other people run away."

"Maybe you should aim at the cars behind us, and keep them at a distance Jo." Kris answered. Other people wanted to help too, they would use whatever long range powers they could to keep the cars away.

As the others were preparing for the attack, Krya saw something weird on the leading truck's tires. The wheels gleamed. Wait wheels don't gleam. The rims yes, but the whole wheel no. She took a deep breath and jumped on to the lead car.

"Good idea, Kris!". Jo replied. She pulled together all the power she had. This was going to be hard, the cars weren't close enough for normal strength. "3, 2, 1!". She yelled. A 10 foot thick, 110 foot long flame shot out of her hands. 'Keep it going,' she thought. But it took too much energy. "Did I do it?" Jo asked weakly, then fell, unconscious, on the floor.
