"I really do what to know, I mean everything is important," Her smile quickly turned into a more sultry look. She shuffled her shoes and kept her head down, "I was uhhh, beat up."
It was hard for Madison to hold back the tears, she usually wasn't this sensitive but it does take a lot out of you once you are beat up.
Her hair had dried and she was playing with it, trying to avoid her own embarrassment.

Hale stared. He'd never been beat up. He'd barely ever been bullied. Anything they said or did would just slide through him, after all. "Who?" He demanded, determined on giving them a piece of his mind.

"Oh no one," She shied away from telling him, she knew there would be too much trouble involved in tattling on them.

"I mean you couldn't stop them anyways, there are too many!" Madison didn't want another person to get hurt. One was too many as it was.

Hale shrugged. "If there's too many, you take them one at a time," he said reasonably. "But I'd like to see someone try and stop me," he smiled slightly at the idea of a real challenge.

"Please, you have to listen to me," she rubbed the place were she had been punched before. It was already bruising, and she could feel it.

"I just don't want anyone else to get hurt," her voiced cracked and her throat ached. Teardrops fell from her face and the hurt seeped to her heart. She couldn't believe how defeated she was, yet she always was defeated.

Hale snorted. "As if-" he started, then saw how upset she was, and let it drop. "Here, I'll take you to the Infirmary," he offered worriedly. "I know a shortcut," he gave a small smile.

"Charles! How dare you ditch your job! Come back this instant!" a nurse chided while pulling Charlie roughly by the ear back to the Nurse's Office.
"No! I-Ouch!- Don't- Ow!- Want- OOh! - To be a-OW!- SECRITARY!" Charlie accidently said that last part a bit to loud, and got strange looks from the passerby.
That didn't really matter though, for the Nurse basically dragged Charlie back to his desk anyway.

She wiped away the tears and tried to stop snuffling, unsuccessfully of course.

"Thank you, but may I ask that you don't saw anything about me being beat up to the nurse?" She thought of the consequences, the gang could figure out she ratted them out. This time they would have an actual reason to beat her up.

"Let's just say I tripped?" She smiled, it was a long shot but the nurse did have bad eyes so it may just work.

"Well, yeah," Hale shrugged. That's what everyone said. The nurses always knew otherwise, but didn't say anything.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her through the wall, making sure to avoid the bathroom this time.

Madison was taken aback by being pulled through the way. She breathed out, feeling suddenly out of place and woozy.
She rocked back and forth on her heels, trying to get a steady grip to the ground. Grabbed onto Hale's shoulder, and immediately blushed. She released him and stepped back ,"I am so sorry! I was just really dizzy, sorry."

Hale gave her a weird look. "What for? The first time is the hardest. It's generally better if I don't warn people," he added, then pressed the bell for a nurse.

Charlie looked up from sulking at his desk when he heard the bell. He strolled over to the boy and girl, which the latter, he noted, was looking a bit bruised and sea sick.
"Hello." he groaned monotonly, "How may I assist you today?"
He made sure to give both of them his famous, "Call Me A Nurse And I'll Strangle You Both With The Chain Attached To The Pen On This Clipboard" stare that really made everyone feel right at home in the Nurse's Office.

Charlie gave him the Death Glare and wondered if he could take him. Probley not.
So he decided to annoy the boy another way.
"Sorry, we're busy right now, so you have some paperwork to fill out. So your...Girlfriend"-Charlie decided it was the most embracing thing to say-"and you will just have to wait for me to fill out the form. What are both your names?"

"No, no, no, I mean my name is Madison but girlfriend? I mean it is not like he isn't a lovely person and all but I mean my boyfriend? That is just too weird." She paused to take a breath, " And now I am rambling, just forget me."
She went back to rubbing her head, trying to omit any awkwardness from reaching her.

Hale ignored Madison. He wondered if she'd hit her head.
"You don't look so busy," Hale rolled his eyes, mentally inserting a space in the 'girlfriend' part. "Are you going to heal her, or not?"

Charlie almost laughed at Madison's rambling, but noticed that she was, really hurt.
"Okay, you've got me. I'm not busy. But call me 'Nurse' one more time and I'll get you signed up for the next volunteering job, one were you probley have to wear the uniform." Charlie threatened Hale, grinning evilly.
"But seriously, I have to fill out a patient sheet, saying who brought her in, her name, room number, and what happened to her." Charlie shrugged. "Rhey like things organized.
He already filled out the name slot, accidentally spelling "Madison", "Madysun".

Hale gave a small half-smile. "Okay, doctor. I'm Hale Taylor. I don't know her room number. And she fell down the stairs," he answered convincingly.

Charlie wrote down "Hail Taylor".
"Wait, fell down the stairs? Isn't that the excuse abuse victims use? Then again, what do I care?" Charlie shrugged. "I'd better get you healed fast though... They won't mind if Zi forget a few things that on the form. I like to cause them trouble anyway." Charlie smirked.
He then pressed one hand on Madison's forehead, and imagined all the bruises disapearing, all the pain flowing away, and energy renewing Madison...
Charlie stumbled to the ground, falling over.
"Should've. Done. That. Sitting. Down." he gasped, and remained on the floor.
"Now I think I'm going to take a little...Nap..."
Okay, it didn't drain Charlie THAT bad, but he just wanted an excuse to slack off work.
"You should be all healed now, Madison." Charlie called up from the ground.

"Okay, so what are you going to do now?" She asked the nurse. "Just sit here and be bored?" She didn't like the way the nurse was acting, so she was going to weasel him out of his attitude.

Madison turned to Hale,"Kinda awful all he does is sit here ad lounge around, and even when he is helpful, such an attitude he has." She sighed, dramatically. She did have to owe this new found energy to the nurse though.

"More like lay here and be bored. Don't expect me to be getting up anytime soon." Charlie reminded Madison helpfully from the floor.
"And hey, this job is tiring. You know how many people come here in a day? And how many of those same people get upset if you throw Scooby-Doo Band Aids in their faces?" Charlie shook his head sorrowfully. "It's TRAGIC."
