@kelch1000 they were never mean. They were forced and trained back then to fight and die murdered by another dog. I saw a show where they rescued dogs that were going to be used in a dog fight in somones basement. In like 2011

@izzfred Yes, I've seen those shows on Animal Planet. It's sad, but I'm glad that the ASPCA is there to stop things like that. It's never really "over" though, people still do it in these days just for money. ☹️

@kelch1000 i'm gonna be a vet when i'm older and train search and rescue dogs. I'm glad there are people who care helping. It'se so hard to imagine how people can be so cruel to dogs. I just remembered a heartbreaking story about dog abuse i'll tell you in moment.

@izzfred I don't know if I wanna hear it. . . X( You can tell me, if you want though. And that's great that you wanna be a vet, I want to be a Professional dog trainer. I don't think I could see hurt animals, although I'd like to help them. 😊

@kelch1000 this is how i remember it. These mean people put a color tight around a medium size dogs neck and chained to to a street light. They started pouring gasoline on the color and heated it up with blow torches making it sear scars into the dogs neck. A guy saw this on the news and came and rescued the dog who was lying half dead of the sidewalk still chained up to the post.

This famile adopted a german shepard from the shelter which had been rescued from an abusive family. His first family had put a collar on him as a puppy and never taken it off so he was almost choked to death and his neck was deeply scarred. Then one day his new family made a brush fire and put it out but the flame spread underground and lit the forest by their house on fire. The dog alerted the famile which had a new babay,two cats and another dog. The family was saved and it was all thanks to their dog Chance. They had named him that because he was given a second chance at life by them. It's truly a touching story to know that the dog paid them back for saving him.

@ems raise money for your animal shelter because then they can expand their grounds and rescue more anaimals that are being abused.
