Wolves of the forest: will you lead your pack?

Crimson laughed. "This is for my new scar!!" he said laughing as he bit her neck and all four of her legs. "And THIS is for trying to think you could out smart me!!" Crimson laughed as he trudged the body to the river and watched it float down.
(By down i mean down the river.) 😋

Serv mentally cursed herself for not reacting when she saw through all of Crimson's tricks. "Ughh" she groaned, as she bumped into a log, which knocked the wind out of her. The artic wolf managed to get onto the log, and to the shore from there. Laying on the bank, recovering, she formed a plan. One that wouldn't require words, or trust, or anything like that. It would be put into action by her, and her alone.

Dragging herself near to the Wildfangs camp, she caught a mouse, and buried it in the ground so that it secreted no smell. Then, she took a ton of brambles, and put them on the ground near the camp. Taking a vine, she tied a rotting log to it and climbed up a tree, looping the vine around the thickest branch she could find. Then Serv jumped down, her fall cushioned by the weight of the log, which was now hovering, suspended by the vine, over the brambles. She knew that she would have to fix the victim wolf in place, and set to work making a snare out of brambles, stones, and a thin piece of vine. Then she connected the snare to the vine which held up the rotting log. Once the snare went off, the log would drop on the unlucky victim. Finally, exhausted, she took the mouse, ripped it into shreds and spread it in the brambles.

Serv limped a mile or so away, found a hollow tree stump, and slept.

Crimson draggedc BrightStar back to the camp. He placed her under the tree. Happy with his days work, he went to sleep.

@redfire77 ( I was going to do that! Great minds, huh!!.)

Blue Water sat up. he decieced it was time to hunt some more rabbit. As he walked away from the camp, he was suddenly lifted into the air. He had no time to reacted, before the log fell on him.

Serv heard a damp "THUNK" towards the direction where she had put her trap. Too weak to scout out, she hoped that it had landed on an enemy.

Crimson heard the cry of pain. He woke up from his sleep and rush to where the mangled body of his second in command was. Crimson howled a howl of death.Then roused his army and buried his commrand. He knew that Serv was the cause of this. "Everyone!" he told the army "Search the forest!! Kill any wolfs on sight!! No questions asked!! Especially any Artic Wolfs!!" He led the wolfs in a howl, and watched them run off.

Serv jolted awake to the anrgy howl of a wolf. She took this to mean that she had hit her mark, and that the Wildfangs were now out to get her. Limping to the place where the Thunderfangs smell wafted, she hoped she could make it to CT and the others in time.

((Where are CT and the others?Are they charging towards the Wildfangs camp?))

Solah knew the plan was probably something secret, so when CT left, she shrugged and walked into the brush. She could smell...Serv! The new wolf! She followed the smell until she found a spot in the river. Blood and Serv's scent covered the rocks. Was Serv ok? Somehow, she knew Serv was alive, but she needed Solah's help. She raced off into the bushes and barreled into CT.

"Woah! Solah! And CT!" Serv half groaned. "I had an unfortunate run in with the Wildfangs, and I think that they're after me. But I'm pretty sure that the trap I set took out one of their ranks." Serv told CT everything about her encounter with Crimson, how she had tried to trick him, and save Brightstar, and the fight, and how she had managed to set the trap that had hit it's mark.

((I have to go watch my brother's soccer game now -__-; ))

"We can handle this. You look injured. Rest up back at camp." Solah said. She turned toward her leader. "Should we go on?" Solah already knew the answer. They had to move forward. She waded through the stream, trying to pick up WildFang's scents, and trying to hide her own.

Serv limped after the golden wolf, hating how useless she was right now. She would need to recover fast in order to make a difference in the battle against the Wildfangs. "I think they're up the river" Serv groaned. "That's where there camp is. We might not want to disturb them now, because they outnumber us, at the moment. But Brightstar is there..."

Solah picked up a scent, CrimsonFang! She lep out of the stream and looked for him... She heard Sev's voice behind her, explaining where the camp was. "Got it," she replied, and continued on.

"Shoot, he's probably out looking for me. I think he's coming down this river because it's where we fought." Serv said. "But that also means that the camp, and Brightstar, are unguarded! You go up stream until you find there camp, and I'll stay here and stall Crimson fang." the arctic wolf suggested.

She smelled them strongly. She continued walking, but then she saw a wet wolf lying on the river banks. "BrightStar! Are you ok?" Solah asked. The wolf looked half drowned!

BrightStar moaned. She heard Solah's words ,but that was all she could do to reply to them. With much difficultly, she struggled to her feet. "I'm fine." BrightStar told Solah.

CrimsonFang howled for his wolfs. He needed them to be together for their first ,and hopefully final, attack. About 3 wolfs came back to the camp. As he waited for the others to return, a sense of happiness came over him. He had confindence that he was going to win the upcoming battle.

"He's fine, I left him back at camp with the rest of my pack." she turned to Serv. "I'm going to need your help attacking those wolves." she turned back to BrightStar. "Do you have a plan? I know you told me to tell CT about one, but she never told me what it was..."

"They were going to sneak up on the WildClan but now Crimson's too alert." BrightStar coughed " Not all of his men are back yet though. We may be able to win now if we attack, but we HAVE to kill Crimson." She looked at Solah and Serv. "Serv, you have to make a trap, a good one, since I heard about you great trapping skills. Solah, we will have to go after Crimson together. I'm still able to fight, but i need help to finsh Crimson fang."

"I will serve you to the best of my ability. Serv, tell me where your trap will be placed so I don't walk into it." she asked. In truth, she was very frightened about what she had to do. She had never killed a wolf before, but she knew this was for the good of the forest.

"Yes, let's go!" Solah's feet left heavy footprints in the mud. 'Who cares,' she thought. 'We're going to them anyway.' she sprinted full speed into the night, a golden blur. She heard the quiet chatter of wolves and ran toward the sound.

Crimson smelled wolfs. "Army!! to your positions!!" He yelled at his three comrands. Crimson stared at the trees and growled. "So they're coming to us.. "he thought.

More of Crimson's commrands showed up. Now he had five wolfs fighting with him. "This should be fun" he thought to himself.

BrightStar's body tensed she waited for the battle ahead. Without realizing it, a low growl formed in her thoart.

Solah waited for CT and the sisters to catch up. Then she quietly creeped upwind, to keep from being smelled. She creeped forward, completely silent. Then she struck out at a foolish wolf that wandered too close. She had killed it In one bite. 'One down, six to go...' she backtracked to find CT and the others.
