"I...I saw strength in them. I knew they could protect me, and in turn, I would provide them a good fighter. Now, they are my family." Solah replied. "I was a loner for a long time. I just watched the packs for fun, but now I don't know why I didnt join a pack earlier. I have protection, food, friends, all I could ever want." Solah replied. "Why do you stay a lone wolf?" Solah asked. It was obvious she had something against the Thunderfangs.

"So, you want strength and protection. Friends. All you could ever want." Eternal looked at her. "That's it. What about driving other wolves from their homes, like the fire that destroyed yours? And for what purpose." Eternal scowled and turned her back on Solah. "Why am I a lone wolf? What's the alternative?"

Solah huffed. It was true, CT did often speak of attacking other packs. But they never did so. "But we don't do that. The only time we've ever hurt another pack is in the war with SwiftStrike." Solah replied. "Before you comment on that, I will have you know that we were once friends with them." Solah said. She remembered the time Talisa had helped CloudyNight. "But they turned on us. They tried to trick my leader into a trap, right about when we were looking for you." she said. "And what I meant was what is so good about being alone? You have close to no support, and no one is looking out for you."

BrightStar turned to the wolf. "I forgot. I'm looking for wolfs too. I'll keep an eye out for Lily." BrightStar then turned and continued to search the woods for Solah and Serv. "Solah!!! " BrightStar shouted, looking for her friend.

Solah's ears perked up. Did she hear BrightStar? It was very faint. "Yes! I'm here!" she shouted.


I'm confused @smilies, does the sound barrier go both ways? Can Solah still hear the others?

"True. Not yet. But that shows ambition." Eternal said, reading the unspoken. "Anyway, what is so good about being alone? I have no close support, but who says I need it? No one is looking out for me, but at least I don't have to keep looking behind my back, wondering when they are going to betray me!" Eternal hissed, and lashed out at thin air with her tail.
She calmed down. "Maybe that other pack were smart, knowing she'd make a move on them, and tried to prevent it with minimum loss of life? There are always unknown factors. Usually." Eternal amended.

BrightStar couldn't help but feel down. "I hope they didn't get shot." BrightStar thought glumly. Just then her stomach growled. "I haven't eaten in AGES."she thought to herself. Sulking off, she went to find some rabbit to eat.

"I...I guess I'll talk to her about it. You know, she's changed. The first time I saw her, she was a bloodthirsty, battle crazed wolf, but know I see the caring, kind part of her. I don't think she'd attack a pack without thinking twice." Solah replied. "You know, if I will heal, I should get some rest. Good night, wolf." Solah said and slipped into the comfort of sleep.

"You won't talk to her about me." Eternal said quietly, but Solah was already asleep. She wondered if she realized that her pack would think she's dead, or that it was Eternal's choice whether she would ever see CT again. She couldn't use her leg at all right now and Eternal could stop it from ever healing easily if she wanted to, and more. All she did though was cast a small web. Smoke and lights. She smiled. Solah couldn't speak a word about her now. She played dirty.

*"A bloodthirsty, battle crazed wolf."
It rang through her head, again and again, Solah's description. Eternal mentally scowled. If you give me a headache, she thought, I'll have my revenge.
"Caring, kind part of her."
Don't make me laugh.
She had a sudden image of a young CT laughing with her. Go away!* Eternal yowled and jolted awake. Solah was still sleeping. Eternal settled back down, this time into an empty sleep.

BrightStar lugged a rabbit back into the ThunderFang's cave. At least there she and GrayFlood were safe from the hunters. When she got to the cave, she saw GrayFlood sound asleep. She laid her rabbit on the cave floor , curled up by GrayFlood, and soundly drifted off into sleep.....

Solah heard scuffling from deep in her sleep. 'The other wolf must be having nightmares,' she thought. Solah needed to escape. She needed to find her pack. Silently and quickly, Solah got up. She winced, her leg hurt like crazy. She limped as fast as she could, she must have looked like a sick deer! She tried to make it behind a tree, but she collapsed, her leg couldn't let her move any farther.

Movement. Eternal opened both eyes. And sighed. "You know, that really isn't a good way to heal a leg." She went over and dragged Solah right back. "I always sleep with one eye open." She slapped the other wolf with her tail. "And that's for giving me a headache!"

Eternal looked at her. "Wrong. I could keep you captive. If I wanted to. It's your choice if you're captive or not. Think, why would I want to drag and kicking, screaming, moaning, injured wolf around with me?" Eternal laughed. "Get real."

Solah growled. "Well, if it was may choice, then you wouldn't have just dragged me back from escaping!" Solah said. She would fight back, but she was in so much pain that it had taken all of her energy just to hobble over to the tree.

Moonrose sighed.She had lost track of the time and the scent of the 2 wolves."What's wrong?"asked Goldenthorn."Nothing."replied Moonrose.But secretly,she was ashamed for loosing the trail."Let's go back to the cave."

avi ran, not knowing what happened to her captors, or where she was going, but it all looked oddly familiar. she eventually came to a large oak that smelled faintly of wolf, HER obviously. this was the tree she had the nightmares under several nights ago.

"that wolf" she thought. "Eternal, was her name? great. my first chance at finding a pack, and THIS happens. who knows if i'll even find another wolf's scent?"

realizing she hasn't had anything to eat in days, she wonders if she'll be able to make it through the night peacefully and still have enough energy to get up in the morning. desperately hoping the dreams wouldn't decide to replay themselves tonight, Avi curled herself up against the tree and drifted into an endless sleep.

she was floating. not exactly floating, she could feel ground, but there was nothing there. all she could see were gray clouds, wind, rain, swirling, fast. and she was in the middle of it. the wind was moving, but she wasn't. the rain was pouring, but she couldnt feel it. the only thing she could feel was the wind whipping her fur. she ran. straight for the swirling clouds. she burst out into pure white, there was absolutely nothing there. she fell, plummeting towards who knows what? she started to choke, no air, no air!! she started to see spots, and then everything went black.

Solah yawned and slowly opened her eyes. Was the wolf watching her? With relief, she saw that the other wolf was sleeping. She was desperately thirsty. Couldnt the wolf have dragged her near a stream? Solah made do with drinking the dew captured by the leaves of the bush. She grabbed a cobweb nestled in the branches and wrapped it around her wound, making a make-shift bandage. She lied back down and stared at the sleeping wolf. She knew she was hiding something. She could tell she knew CT from somewhere else. But where? She didn't think her little tricks were just illusions, either. She had definitely teleported, and not just a few feet, but almost a mile away! (I'm exaggerating 😋) Solah frowned. She was going to find out the truth about the wolf.

Solah suddenly jolted awake. She figured out something very strange about the whole situation. When she had called for the others, no one had answered. It had been about two days since she was shot, and no one was looking for her. No one was tracking her scent trail? The wolf was hiding her from the rest of her pack! How was she to return to her pack if no one could find her? She knew this wolf wasn't keeping her just for company, or for solah's sake. She could heal just as well with her pack than here. So why was the wolf keeping her? Solah lied down, keeping a wary eye on the wolf.

Solah whined. She missed her pack. She missed being able to hunt for herself. She missed running through the forest, completely carefree. Solah wanted to leave. She hated being helpless, and as if to remind her why she couldn't leave, a BANG!! Sounded through the air.

Eternal jolted awake. Solah was already up, she looked ready to start panicking. "We need to move. Can you-" Definitely not. Eternal was to tired to be bothered dragging, so she asked the air to carry Solah.

~ If you're wondering:
"Magic" only works physically, i.e. move objects, healing. Things that you could do in real life except using more life force/energy than it would normally take. Nothing works mentally i.e. reading thoughts, changing someone's perspective. When Eternal casts that spell on Solah, she doesn't stop her from /thinking/ about her, she stops her from physically /talking/ about her.
The only exception is Sight, but that's more similar to out of body experiences, which not only take life force but weaken the links between Heart, Body and Soul. (Eternal doesn't know that). If you lose your Heart then you lose the ability to feel anything, even pain, however you can still think. This, however, will cause you to go mad and die. If you lose your Soul then it is thought you lose your ability to think, and it is certain you go mad and die. If you lose your Body then you suffer a normal death. It is not known where the Heart or Soul go. 'Kay? 😸 ~

Solah turned to the wolf. "There is a good hiding spot near the brook over there. There is lots of prey and humans never come there." solah said, pointing to a clearing. She wondered how the wolf would carry her all that way.

BrightStar woke up with a jolt. She had heard a low bang. Quickly, she looked around. She noticed some of C.T's clan in the cave. Luckily, they didn't see her. Or did they? BrightStar deciced to go look for Solah again. As she walked outside the cave, BrightStar saw C.T. "C.T!!!" BrightStar shouted at the wolf, getting her attention
