Skylar got there, and used a little of his magic to kill the closest ones to the little girl. He took to stabbing the rest with his knife. He panted with the effort, but managed to kill the last one.

Sapphire saw the little girl, and smiled. "So she's saved... Great!" she said.

Sapphire looked at Skylar expectantly, knowing he wanted her to do something.

Skylar told Sapphire slowly, "This is Lala, the elven-year-old we rescued... She wants to learn more about her magic, and we think you can help."

Sapphire nodded. "I'm sure I can help with something..." And she smiled at the young girl. "We'll train every day, and then we'll be able to wipe out a whole horde of those zombies!" She grinned.

Skylar chucked, smiling himself.
