I wonder if anyone can solve these..

1)
A man was found dead on the floor, a bump on the back of his head. All the windows and doors were sealed tight. A rope was found on the ceiling, as if it was going to be used to hang himself. Inside the room was empty space, and on the ceiling was a circle used to hang the rope from. How did the man die?

2) There was once a rich and poor family. The rich one was very generous, while the poor family was very greedy. The poor family would ofter visit the rich family because everytime they visited, the rich would invite them to a small restaurant, where the poor family ordered expensive meals since the rich family would treat them every time. The poor family consisted of a wife and husband, a younger sister, and an older brother, though the brother never visited. After 6 months, the rich family had become poor, but the poor family was now rich. How did this happen?

You see because the rich family paid for all the meals they in tearms became poor and because the poor family didnt have to pay they in tearms became rich
