Effie looked down at her Bedazzled pocket watch while reapplying her lipstick. Effie looked up re-adjusting her wig."Time already!How exciting!Let's get this show on the road people!"Effie replied excitedly as she briskly clapped her hands and the film crew walked outside to the Capitols main golden plaza stage.Effie waited tapping her foot for the Panem anthem to finish"Good morning Panem welcome to Hunger games first day of the Quarter Quell!"Effie said in her cheerful voice while the stage crew wheeled the reaping ball out in front of her,the capitols citizens cheered with excitement."Now let's start shall we?Well let's kick this year of with starting with the Boys shall we?"Effie asked with a small smile.Effie hesitstantley lingered her hand in the bowl as the crowd fell silent."Shrip!"Effie ripped open the first paper with the golden sticker,"And the first lucky lad of this years Quarter Quell is Aaron Flint!Congratulations Darling!!"Effie cheered as the crowd went wild with excitement.

Aaron Flint looked up from his chatting friends who surrounded him including Shine Piano,his parents sat toward the front of the crowd eyeing him proudly.But inside Aaron wished he wouldn't be choosen,'Its not that I doubt I can win of course I can I dont mind the violence that's easy enough too but still after I come home my mind is going to be screwed up and people will notice buy still,-'Aaron's thoughts were cut off when all of his guy best friends suddenly dog piled him like he one the lottery!Oh,wait he did.Aaron looked up and saw him name displayed on the large screen.Aaron
Wooped with joy as his friends patted him and cheered him on along with rest of the capitol as he proudly made his way to the stage,once on the stage Aaron gave the crowd a charming smile while happily greeting the celebrity Effie with a welcoming hug.

Effie laughed at teens enthusiasm."Wow isn't that some great spirit!Let's hear it one more time for Aaron flint!"Effie cheered happily.The capital cheered wildly and Effie returned to the Reaping ball,picking a card stuck firmly to the side."And the Capitals girls tribute will be....Shine Piano!"Effie cheers holding up the card that was zoomed in on by the cameras for Panem to see.

Shine showed up,her many friends and family excitedly talking about how she would be a shoe in for victory if she got picked,and how she just belonged on tv! "Oh I course I do but still the chances aren't THAT high!"Shine giggled and bragged to her friends who laughed along.After Effie's voice rang clear the silence set in for a moment,a moment where Shine's eyes widen,"No..I can't."Shine mumbled under her breath as she was wisked away onstage in front of millions of cheering crowds.

Effie quickly said farewell to district two as she waving cutely and blew kisses."Wow the first two districts come and gone,how disappointing."Effie said her face in a pout in till the train came to a stop at District three the very high-tech district which only few are thankful for.Effie shuffled her way onstage tapping the microphone as the cameras just about went on,the president's voice rang clear from the large screen in the plaza welcoming the citizen to the Quarter Quell."I always get so excited when he says that!"Effie giggled as she strolled over to the left half of the stage."Alright let's see who our girl trite will be!..."Effie said as she looked down finding a slightly open card toward the top of the pile."Pixel Reve!"Effie said proudly as the crowds once again began applauding in a very polite district 3 manner.Effie applauded with them with a small golf clap.Gesturing to Pixel to come on stage with a welcoming pale hand.

Pixle swallowed down her fear, she lowered her head and watched the ground as she slowly made her way to the stage, her heart POUNDING in her chest, and her head swimming, it was all comming to her worst fears 'Die with honor, die with pride, die y making others live in honor to be part of your district' her head echoed the same thing her father had told her as he was taken to his exicution, in case she had ever been picked, As she stepped up on stage, she glared ever so slightly at Effie, her head still low as she listened closely, waiting to hear the boy's name

Effie smiled her too perfectly bleached smile at Pixel and gave her a small hug,"Now let's see who will be the lucky boy to join ourdarling Pixel shall we?"Effie said in her giggly voice."And that boy is Reno Foxxet!"Effie said with a big smile."Come on up Reno!"Effie said happily standing on tiptoes to get a look at the other tribute making his way onstage to join Pixel.The crowd cheered on for many minutes while others watched quietly with sympathy.After they disperse Effie turned to the two tributes and showed them the way to their train that would tale them back to the Capitol."Best of luck my darlings!"Effie chimed as she left for her train.

Effie quickly trotted back onto the train were she got changed into a nice light blue miniskirt and top,exiting the dressing room in time to hop off the train to make it to the reaping.Quickly stepping through the crowds of district four citizens Effie walked onstage welcomed with applause"Good morning District 4 and Panem,aren't we all so excited for today!"Effie piped."Well,anyways let's see who our boy tribute is?"Effie said as her hand plunged into the left reaping ball full of boy names picking up a quite new card."And the tribute is Marlent Hudson!Along with our girl tribute Crona Maur!"Congrats you two!"Effie sang cheerfully.

Pixle sat with her head low, her hair hung in her face and her bright eyes reflected the dull light. In short breaths, pixle inhaled the stale air of the train car, how could Effie act so happy when she was sentancing them to their deaths!? She had that fake smile plastered on her face as though she was giving out free kittens, it was painful just to watch, much less have her smile at you when your name was called out, Did she know she was ruining people's lives? Stopping generations and families, killing off innocent children just for everyone's sick amusement. The killings from her district filled her head as the train screeched to a stop just to pick up more hopeless tributes.
"We have to escape" she muttered to herself, watching her feet "There has to be a way, a flaw..." leaning her head back against the window and watching the earth outside where there was some freedom, some hope.

Marlent rushed through the plaza just as Effie stepped onstage,Marlent quickly tightened his tie rubbling any fish scales from his early catches this morning.Marlent was busy fixing his tie when it happened.When his would decided to crumble on top of him as he looked up to see his name,his father look at him with disappointed eyes as he walked over embracing him in a strong hug,"Remember,you are always with me,I am always with you and your mother watches over both of us."His father whispered in his raspy voice into Marlent's shoulder.His father silently handed him a thin silver charm necklace with a silvery scale,a cross,and his mothers favorite pearl.Marlent nodded as he made his way onstage fiddling with his soon to be district token.
