Daniel looked up from his work in the field,hearing a distant sound of a large church bell,"Quarter till?"Daniel mumbled as he picked up the bundle of hay onto his shoulder bringing back toward his Grandpa's tractor."Grandpa,Im gonna meet ya later at the reaping,I'm just gonna wash my face real quick."Daniel said as he walked up the backdoor steps and faced grandpa as he walked out the front door."Ok Daniel,don't be late and Ahh..thank you with your help."His grandfather stuttered with the last part as he grabbed his crutches and left.Daniel wiped the sweat from his forehead,and quickly washed his face getting changed into a beige button up and dark old jeans faded out at the knees.Daniel looked at his nightstand pulling out a pen. And turning over a picture of him and his grandfather when he was little,and began writing...

Pixle waited as the reapings passed, more and more tributes boarding the train, some bawling and some gloating, others fighting with eachother over the fact that they would win. 'have to escape' echoed in her head as she thought of everything in the years past, there had to be some flaw in the games, some means of escape that wouldn't get you butchered. With a sigh, Pixle closed her eyes, listening to everyone board the train to their doom. The light from th passing trees and gaps dappled the train cart with sunlight and shade, the light dancing across the empty car floor, and fading into shade as time passed

Bella tied up her thick smooth curled hair with a gold ribbon and the changed into her yellow sun dress.Bell a slipped on her boots and ran outside toward town where her parents were waiting."Hi ma!"Bella said as she greeted her mom with a long hug,looking nervous.

Daniel looked at the picture on more time clicking the pen close approvingly and gently placed the picture on his Grandfather's nightstand.Daniel closed the front door tieing his old sneakers quickly then headed down the road.

Bella's mother looked down at her shaking daughter,"Wearing my old school dress eh?"Bella's mother laughed quietly."Oh don't worry Bella,you won't get pick but your brother James might."Her mother mumbled the last part looking at Bella's older brother nervously."Still,seven times my name is in there."Bella said sighed.

Pixle sighed as she waited for the next set to board the train, there seemed to be a pattern, some of the boys would spend the last bit of sanity they had, hitting on girls on the train, everyone had split off into the seperate cars and then there was her, sitting in the car at the end, alone. she didn't mind, it just seemed, well lonely, not even her own distract partner was there with her. "Guess I'll be the first to die" she muttered and watched the stillness of the district outside, listening to the reaping through the glass, she yawned a bit and sighed once more.

Reno watched his district fade away through the windows. He sighed, and walked to the end of the train. To his surprise, the girl from his district was there! "Umm, Hi." Reno said to her nervously.

Pixle looked up at him and nodded a hello, she looked back out the window and sighed 'You must be Reno,' Pixle muttered, watching the trees sway under a light breeze, it was too peaceful under the circumstances, everything was at peace, but the truth was everything was under unrest, the hearts of many were being crushed today while the capitol just smiled and laughed, ready to kill for entertainment. Pixle sighed slightly and closed her eyes for a few moments 'Sit if you want, no one's stopping you....yet...' she sighed

Pixle yawned and sighed, leaning back a bit, her eyes were dull as she watched, each ditrict was different, some had trees and others had a wide desert expansion, she didn't really want to see what the capitol looked like, she hoped the train ride took an eternity, though she knew it wouldnt

Effie clapped her hands together as she entered back on her train,"My haven't we some darling tributes already!Right James?Right Brent"Effie asked the young teen and young man playing cards in the corner of the loft."Well I guess we are here already!"Effie piped as she hoped of the train,"District 7!Good afternoon!And welcome to the quarter quell!"Effie sang in odd capitol accent."Now let's see who our girl tribute is!"Effie pulled out a piece of paper and read the name(this tribute will die early on I guess) and joining her is Puck Smith!"Effie said congratulating.
"Now to district 8!"Effie sang as her film crew followed.

Sisal tugged uncomfortably at his tie. The district assembly for the Reaping had them packed shoulder to shoulder, each child in their suit or dress trying to look over the head of the person in front of them. From where he was, he could just barely see the stage.

With a pronounced frown, he wrung his hands, shrinking a bit lower into the mass of people. District 8 was massive; the chances that he would be chosen were low. And yet, every year, the anxiety returned, creeping behind him like a shadow.

The tension seemed greatest when he stood at home in front of their mottled mirror, examining his hand-me-down dark blue suit and faded leather shoes. In the mirror, he could practically see himself scaling the steps to the stage, standing beside the odd pink woman with a smile on his mouth and death in his eyes. The image was so startlingly real, as if it was a premonition . . . but it had yet to come true.

Personality: Quiet and solemn, Adrasteia is a "serious" type. She doesn't socialize often and is very adaptive to situations, but does not think of others in her plans. She is independent and likes to think for herself. She is VERY observant, like a profiler.

Appearance: The darkest shade of blonde, or the lightest shade of brown, hair color. Her eyes are a dark lapis-lazuli blue. Her skin is quite tanned from her time spent outside. She has a small build and long legs (In ratio to her height). She has a "cute" appearance, with long, delicate eyelashes and pink lips.

History: Adrasteia was continually beaten by her father as a child until he died from an electric shock at a factory. As a result of this, Adrasteia built a tolerance for pain and could withhold complaints. Her Mother died at birth, and Adrasteia is currently under custody of her 19 year old brother, Leon.

Puck looked up from where he stand and he powerfully made his way to the stage his head held high,no one was going to take away his pride,except his siblings who looked to him with sadden teary eyes as he left getting on the train.@sstwins @inkstep @Ect... Puck looked to find a sadden girl staring out the window,her name was Pixel he recognized her from the other reaping."It's alright we all didn't expect this.Just try to get your mind off of this."Puck mumbled to the girl also looking out the window.

Pixle looked over at him and sighed, pulling her knees up to her chest as she watched the world race by 'it's torture' she mumbled as the light danced across her face, she sighed and lowered her head a bit, keeping it on her knees. 'it makes no sense, we should be able to choose if we want to participate or not...' she mumbled 'they're just...' she sighed and shook her head slightly

Effie walked onstage of the slightly scorched stage in the district 5 plaza that was painted over."Now now Citizens I'm just as excited as you all!"Effie chirped giggly "And our lucky Girl tribute will be..."Effie reached to the bottom of the bowl picking out a card."And our lucky darling is Adrasteia Cain!"Congrats darling!"Effie said as she held out her arms in a hug.
