I never said they weren't greedy >.<

I'm not three years old so you don't need to give me a life lesson about it.

I think that you should only be able to breed once a month or something like that. Very infrequently.

@redfire77

Yes! Already in the agreed ideas section. 😊

@Redfire77

One of my ideas, though I'm now thinking the rarity should make the time longer. Like, Onny could be 3-6 months [Ian choice, and that was an example]

what would be nice is since some people don't have a chance to get some of those eggs at all then those eggs could be UFT/A or people could sell them for EC or CC if they wanted. I would be willing to do that for some of the rarer ones that I don't have. But not to try something is to say let's just flush it down the toilet without trying it first.

Maybe a creature should only be allowed to breed once? ^^

@whitefall

We have already agreed upon the number of times a creature can breed will be limited upon their rarity via Ian. 😊

@nvr4evr1

I really don't like how people treat rares different from commons. ^^ I think it should be a constant number for all eggs. Even if the number of times you could breed was low for rares, more users would breed for that creature, and then the rarity level would go down for that species, and then Ian would have to change the number again. :/

I have mixed feelings about breeding. Not sure if I like it or not. >_>

*shrugs* I'm gonna stay neutral about this idea. I mean, suure, I suppose it could be cool to breed two creatures. Yet, think about it. What if someone just wanted the same species over and over again? They would have to get that species from another person, since their's, supposedly, already bred?

Though I also kinda like the idea, since I really want to see my little Lithuania and Poland have a child - *SHOT*
...Sorry Hetalia reference. x3

But yeah, I'm staying neutral. *shrugs and goes to the corner of neutrality*

@whitefall

Well people do treat them like that and it also has to do with the amount of that species currently in Egg Cave. There aren't many original event creatues such as Macs and Voodoos so it would be limited for them anyway.

Everyone has their own feelings about it, but Ian is the one who makes the final decision anyway.

@blaze4ever12

Well it's been brought up and people want breeding to be limited anyway.

@nvr4evr1 ;;
I can see that some people want the breeding to be limited, though... eh, I'm not lingering on this subject anymore. *shrugs* All up to Ian anyways.

I sent in a ticket asking and I got this response:

Yeah, breeding has been subject to much controversy here at Egg Cave. There are a lot of different web sites that do breeding and I am unsure if Egg Cave should go that road. We want to maintain our individuality as a site and our uniqueness. We recognize that we might lose that with going with breeding.

For these reasons: the development of any type of breeding system has not even remotely begun. It's still a mere thought.

However, I am sure there will be more discussion on the community forums in the near future.

Thanks for the message and thanks for sharing. We value your thoughts. Don't hesitate to write in more thoughts. 😊

Best,
Ian

Maybe you can attempt to breed a certain amount of times a month, kind of like name changing, this way, you don't have to worry so much about overpopulation and greedy people. And, you don't have to have a limit on how many times two creatures can breed, or maybe still have the limit, I dunno.
