I think I might need something like Photoshop to index it... the two programs I'm using don't work together very well 😋

I mostly used the Pencil tool (for individual pixels) and the Recolor tool (to change the colors quickly) in Paint.net. It took a while to figure out but I'm slowly improving 😊

I can't really draw at all... pixels are a bit easier but there's no way I could make a sprite from scratch.
