Hazelstripe purred. "Whatever, you little cats," he said, amused. He turned to Leafpelt, smiling. "Take care here in camp," he told Flare and Cherry.

Cherrypaw purred happily. "We will!" she told Hazelstripe.

Leafbreeze got up. She began to walk out of camp.

Leafpelt purred at Hazelstripe, "Come on time to go. Be good you two." She looked at Hazelstripe, "Oh how I love kits." She said and started walking away.


"Don't worry you two love birds we will."Flarepaw joked. "Come on Cherrypaw lets go hunt."

Hazelstripe chuckled at Leafpelt. "Yeah, kits are adorable," he said. He followed Leafpelt and Leafbreeze.

Cherrypaw nodded at Flarepaw, snickering, and ran off into the woods.

"Shhh," Flarepaw told Cherrypaw,"I hear a mouse." He quietly stalked a mouse amd then pounced landing on the mouse. "YES! My first ever prey!" He said happily.


Leafpelt happily walked next to Hazelstripe enjoying the sun. "So who are you thinking about for deputy? Cause Ashfoot would be a nice choice or someone like that."

"Well, Ashfoot was made a warrior not too long ago, plus she just got her first apprentice," Hazelstripe commented.

Cherrypaw was listening intently to something. She looked up to where she heard the noise. She began to inch up a tree, getting closer to her prey. You hear a thump and see leaves fall as Cherrypaw catches a squirrel. She stood proudly on the branch.

Cherrypaw nodded, and buried her squirrel.

Flarepaw did the same and then followed Cherrypaw excitedly but still listening for prey.

"You two lovebirds back there get up here," snorted the grumpy Leafbreeze.

Cherrypaw listened for prey. She had sharp hearing, so she could hear so much scurrying beneath the ground.

"Well there are others much more qulified then me." She heard Leafbreeze and quickened her pace.


Flarepaw listened and heard a squeak and he pounced on the squeak and killed it, it was a vole.

Hazelstripe chuckled and picked up the pace. "Not really," he replied.

Cherrypaw looked around. She saw a blackbird pecking seeds off the ground. She crouched down into the hunter's crouch, and her tail twitched.

"Yah really like Bramblefoot, Ferntail, Tawnyfeather, and others." She named off experienced warriors in Lionclan.

Flarepaw burried the vole and watched as Cherrypaw stalked a blackbird.

Hazelstripe flicked his tail dismissively. "Whatever," he mewed, smiling.

Cherrypaw's tail twitched wildly. She darted forward, trying to catch the bird. Right before she could get it, it took off.

Leafpelt layed a tail on Hazelstripe's shoulder, "I am just saying give it some close thought. It is important to have a good deputy." Leafpelt said.


Flarepaw saw the bird about to fly away and he ran over and batted it out of the air so Cherrypaw could kill it.

Hazelstripe nodded. "I understand," he mewed.

Cherrypaw ran forward quickly, ready to kill the bird. She leaped onto it and killed it quickly. She mewed her thanks to Flarepaw. "Thank you," she purred.

Leafpelt smiled at him and kept her tail on his shoulder. "Good cause sometimes I swear you have a mouse-brain inside that head of yours."

Cherrypaw nodded. "Let's take them back to camp," she said, picking up the blackbird. She went to the place she buried the squirrel and picked it up.

Hazelstripe growled playfully.

Cherrypaw headed back behind Flarepaw. She looked around the forest.

Cherrypaw set her kills down in the fresh-kill pile gently.

Hazelstripe purred and followed after. He didn't realize how much pain was going to be inflicted when he got his nine lives.

Leafbreeze said, "Now don't panic when you can't see anything. It's going dark so use your whiskers to feel the sides of the walls, and I'll lead you through."

Hazelstripe gave Leafpelt's ear a quick lick before padding into the tunnels after Leafbreeze.

@hedwig68 I'll make this as quick as I can. XD

Hazelstripe saw glowing ahead. He padded over and touched his nose to the cold, glowing Moonstone. Leafbreeze did as well, and they both fell into a deep sleep.

Hazelstripe was met by warriors he'd known from before that were dead now. Every time he earned a life from a cat, the pain made him go insane. By the eighth life, he thought he would die. But the last life was still no walk in the park. He flinched from it. At the end of the ceremony, all of the voices fused together, giving Hazelstripe his new name. "Hazelstar! Hazelstar!" the voices chanted.

His lives:

1. His mother, Fishstream.
2. His father, Graystorm.
3. His sister, Redheart.
4. The leader before Lionstar, Bramblestar.
5. An apprentice, Mintpaw.
6. A medicine cat, Squirrelclaw.
7. A queen, Softfur.
8. A denmate of his, Nutfall.
9. An apprentice, Snowpaw.

As Leafpelt stood and waited a faint glow emerged from the cave and then he heard Hazelstripe scream. She ran into the cave led by the glow and walked into aa open space with a large glowing rock. Boht Hazelstripe and Leafbreeze had their noses pressed against it so she did the same. She instantly fell asleep. She opened her eyes and before her was a bunch a cats most she had known before their death. She looked beside her and saw Hazelstripe in pain. "Hazelstripe!" She screamed scared.


Flarepaw went and placed his kills on the pile. Then walked over to Cherrypaw and asked, "So what do you want to do now?"

Cherrypaw shrugged. "I'm tired already," she said, yawning and stretching.

Hazelstar jerked awake with a start. He was panting heavily. Leafbreeze was stirring, too. Hazelstar padded over to Leafpelt to wake her up.

@pebblestar-nightclan Leafpelt kept sleeping

Leafpelt all of a sudden was in a forest and her mother walked up to her. Leafpelt was about to say something but her mom silenced her, "Leafpelt listen. Bloodclan will attack soon and Flarepaw and Cherrypaw will play a vitle role in it. Remember this Scourge's strength is her greatest weakness." ANd with that her mother disappeared and Leafpelt woke up.

"OK lets go take a nap," Flarepaw told Cherrypaw and went to the apprentice den and fell asleep.

Cherrypaw crept off to the apprentices' den to sneak a nap in. She curled up in the nest that was made for her and laid down.

Hazelstar smiled. "You awake?" he asked.
