Leafbreeze padded over to the kits. "Nice job, Flarekit," she praised, and then rubbed the ointment onto Cherrykit's leg.

Kepper mewed louder because she felt a shadow over her even though her eyes wernt open yet,she really wished her brother was here but she knew he was dead right next to her

Hazelstripe picked the kit up gently. He tried to sooth her with gentle purrs.

Leafbreeze finished rubbing the ointment on Cherrykit's leg. "You'll feel better soon," she told her.

Cherrykit mewed her thanks and laid her head down in the nest.

Hazelstripe brought her into camp.

Flakepaw ran up and told Hazelstripe EVERYTHING that had happened.

Flarekit heard Hazelstripe and he wanted to tell him what had happened he looked at Cherrykit. Then he took off toward Hazelstripe who was standing with a kit in his mouth and talking to Flakepaw. He ran over and told Hazelstrpe everything.

Hazelstripe stared dumbly back at Flakepaw and Flarekit. This was overwhelming enough for him. "So, uh... Does that mean I have to go to Highstones to get my nine lives?" he asked.

Flakepaw nodded. "And do it quickly, because those weirdo BloodClan warriors are going to attack any day... We need a leader!"

Hazelstripe set the kit down gently and tried to sooth her.
