Cherrykit nodded, and then did a play growl. "But I want Hazelstripe...!" she trailed off. "Do you think Hazelstripe will become the leader now that Scourge is out of our Clan? Will he believe us? Will he assign us to our mentors?" she sighed.

"He will be my mentor!" He playfully growled back then jumped on her. "He will probably be the leader, assign us our mentors, hopefully believe us, and probably not take a apprentice since he is the new Clan leader."

Hazelstripe heard mewling from not far off. He padded towards it.

Leafbreeze turned to the kits. "Again?" she said, exasperated. "Sure, if you'll help me," she told Flarekit. "You know the basics to herbs and the poultices to make, right?"

Cherrykit lied down neatly in the nest that was made for her before.

"Now, Flarekit, be a good kit and massage Cherrykit's leg. It's okay if you hurt it, because it needs to pop out of it's jam so I can add the ointment to make it feel better," Leafbreeze instructed Flarekit.

Cherrykit's eyes widened as she realized that this would hurt.

Flarekit rolled his eyes as Leafkit talked to him like he was a moom old. Then he began massaging Cherrykit's leg.

Leafbreeze was still working on the poultice when she brought up conversation, "Tomorrow is your apprentice ceremony, correct?" she asked Flarekit and Cherrykit.

Cherrykit nodded, but said nothing. She laid her head down and waited for the bone of her leg to pop back into place.

Leafbreeze started adding the finishing touches to the poultice. "I need an apprentice around here. I was thinking maybe Galekit would be a nice addition to the medicine den, but I guess I was wrong. Hazelstripe is thinking of taking one of you two in," she remarked.
