Vona-Vex sailed through the air, an landed with a crash near the lake. Her body was battered and bruised. Tapping her nose ring, she shifted to an elderly woman, who had the ablity to heal. The scrapes and burns began to fade as she stood up.
Vex's color returned as he breathed normally.
Something clicked in his mind. 'Aizel, that's it! Vona is a born Hummingbird, she doesn't really have powers. Its the nose ring, the government used PHer's DNA to recreate powers. If she doen't have the nose ring, she's defenceless!' Vex said, throwing a sharp glance at Vona.

Kenneth grinned as Vona/Vex was swept off the floor and landed next to his feet. Then he frowned as Vex/Vona transformed into him. Suddenly, he rose into the air, turning all his rage into dark energy and then loosed a HUGE impact of dark energy aimed right on Kenneth/Vona.

Throwing a quick glance at Ves, Aizel nodded curtly and then looked at Vona, concentrating on the small piece of metal on her nose. She felt her inner fire begin to burn out. Vona's nosering began slowly blackening, her powers fading away.

Aizel panted hard. This attack was burning out all her strenght. Her fire was concentrated on the ring and all her efforts were out into the task, but it was hard to destroy the device none the less.

Finally the ring started slowly crumbling away, piece by piece, Vona's powers fadin away with it.

'You -----!' Called Vona, her powers quickly deminishing. She wasn't abput to die without a fight. She produced a thin blade from her pocket. Aiming for the heart, she flicked her wrist and let go.

Thanks to her blurred senses and her mind, tired from the attack Aizel didn't see the blade coming.

Suddenly feeling blood fill her mouth and pain surge through her body, she looked around confused, trying to figure out what had happened. Feeling wetness on her chest she looked down in a daze and that's when her eyes fell on the blade, sticking from her ribcage. With half closed eyes and blurry mind, she took out the weapon and looked at it in confusion before dropping the blade and tumbling to the ground, unconscious.

Kenneth couldn't beleive what just happened. "You little-" Kenneth growled as he punched Vona right on the heart rapidly over and over again until SHE was unconsious too. Then he ran to Aizel and he closed his eyes as he made a sign over Aizel's heart and concentrated.

Vex watched in horror as Aizel was struck by the blade. Kenneth ran to her aide, and began to heal her. Vona lay uncontious, her arm twitched. Grabbing her wrists, Vex strung them together. She could be an excellent hostage, he thought. Aizel would finish her off at the right time.

Her heart had stopped a few minutes ago but now, healed by Kenneth, Aizel took a sharp intake of brath and jolted up in a sitting position, chest still heaving painfully. She was panting as she looked around baffled. First she met Kenneth's worried gaze, then she set her eyes on the unconscious Vona and lastly put a hand on her own chest, realising that the pain was gone.
" What happened?" she asked Kenneth with confusion.

"Well, let's just say that when you became unconcious, I punched Vona in the heart and she was knocked out." Kenneth said as he gave her some fruits from cacti he'd scavenged.Then he said, "Are you okay?"

'Kenneth, Aizel, We can keep Vona as our hostage. She'll be able to give us vital information to break into the lab. You can finnish her off when we're done.' Vex said, jostling Vona's limp body.

Aizel took the fruit and smiled thankfully at Kenneth.
"Yes. Thanks to you. I owe you my life." she said, eatin the fod she was given. "And about Vona, i'm not so sure that she'll talk. She might be useles."

Kenneth frowned. "Why?" he asked, looking at Aizel with great curiosity. Then slowly, understanding dawned in Kenneth's eyes.

'She might no talk, but her finger prints will get us into the lab. We could just cut off her hand!' Vex replied with a laugh. Vona lay on the dust ground, hair plastered to her brow.

Aizel smiled warmly at Kenneth.
"I would be dead right now if it wasn't for you." she said, ruffling his hair with a smile.

She turned to Vex and scolded.
"WE don't need to go that far. I'll just burn all her hair" she laughed alongside with him.

"No" she replied to Larka "We have to find the other Hummingbirdds" she stated proudly and stood up, determined expression plastered on her face.

Kenneth stood up with Aizel, saying, "I agree because if we don't, the goverment is going to kill us." as he looked at Vex too, saying, "Do you agree?"

Aizel looked at her.
"If you want to leave then alright, nobody's stopping you but I just think that you'll be safer with us." she stated absent mindedly and looked at Vex and Kenneth.
"We need to go back to the lab where I escaped from. There are lots of hummingbirds there. They're experimenting on them with advanced equipment. Most of them don't survive the experiments. We need to go back."

'Agreed,' replied Vex, 'Although each Hummingbird pocesses a power, its not strong enough to defeat the government. If we all band together, our chances are stronger.' Vex began to walk toward the horizon.

Aizel nodded in Vex's direction and stood up, following him.
"The lab is about a mile away. I managed to escape but they followed me here. I'm afraid that there still might be around." she said, looking flustered all of a sudden.

"Don't you have powers? You are a Hummingbird right?" she asked him, baffled by his words.

The boy practically radiated strong magical power. Aizel was sure that he wasn't asimple human being. He was superior than people, she could feel that.

Aizel took his shoulders and smiled.
"That is impossible. Your aura radiates it. You have powers, you just haven't found them out yet." she told him reassuringly.
"And besides, you haven't even tried have you?" she asked him, smirking slightly.

Aizel looked at the sky.
"Well, I got them from my birth, the powers I mean. The scientists there were trying to produce the ultimate fire elemental. I was born with my inner fire. It took years to get my powers to surface though. The scientists experimented on me to try and force them to act up but nothing happened. One day, when I was about 8 I got really angry and killed 6 scientists with my fire. It happened suddenly and unexpectedly. Maybe that's how you'll get your power too. Just keep trying and it'll surface." she said to him reassuringly. "They'll come, sooner or later." she added, puttin her hands behind her head and lazily looking at the sun, still walking after the other teens.

Kenneth looked at the sky with Aizel, saying, "Actually mine's
VERY much like Aizel's story except, when I was 10, they chained and started to experiment on me since I was the 1st sucsessful experiment in that lab. Then out of all my grief and anger, I made a smal whirlwind that was strong enough to kill the scientists and break the chains. You see, my powers are kinda sympathetic magic, which means every power differs according to my feelings. Maybe you'll get your powers out of that." as he took a canteen from his bag and said, "Anyone thirsty?" as he offered it to everyone.
