Shadow bared her teeth. 'then MOVE! I was about to attack him and YOU just burst in! Your helping NO ONE! And you've been WEAKENED! THIS IS MY DUTY AND I CAN'T DO IT WHILE YOUR IN THE WAY!' she roared angrily.

Cyra then narrowed her eyes.''No i wont do this anymore tell ya why...CAUSE I GIVE UP IM SICK OF BEING NICE TO YOU IM LEAVING THIS PACK!'' she roared turning away.She ran off and
shouted ''GO ON DO WHATEVER YOU LIKE WITHOUT ME I CAN'T STAND ANY OF YOUR CRAP ANYMORE!'' and faded into the darkness of the forest.

Shadow rolled her eyes. 'little drama queen,' she snorted. She turned back to Zhale. 'FINALLY she left. Now where was I? Oh yeah. DESTROYING YOU!' she growled, pouncing on him.

She roared back ''YOUR NOT THE ONE WHO LOST THEIR PARENTS WHO WERE KILLED BY ONE OF THOSE MONSTERS LEFT TO FEND ON THEIR OWN AND IS TORTURED BY MEMORIES OF THAT DAY!''

Zhale smiled toothily.

The littlewolf had left. One wolf to kill less.

In their distraction the two wolves - damos and shadow - didn't see him charging at them.

He threw himself on shadow and bit the middle of her back, clenshing his jaw qight all his might and then threw her at Damos, knocking them both on the ground. He then bit Damos' right paw and managed to make a severe wound, biting Shadow's ea and then her neck he ripped the flesh and then stared at the bloodied wolf.

That hadn't been enought. They were both still alive.

Shae had heard the howling and growling from the other side of the forest and was now running with all the speed she could muster.

She suddenly bumped hard into someone.

That someone had been Cyra.

"Why are you running that way?" she asked the wolf, while she was still panting.

'oh,' said shadow, rolling her eyes again 'I WONDER why? Oh yeah, that's right. MY PAST IS MUCH MUCH WORSE. I thought you were leaving you little drama queen?' she continued to attack Zhale.

Cyra growled ''that wolf shadow..i've had enough of her crap if she thinks im annoying and get in the way im not staying anymore!'' she shouted running off.

Shadow woke up, her eyes bleary. She must have been out for two or three minutes. All she could see was Zhale attacking her with every ounce of his strength. She arose. 'NO! NOT THIS TIME! I'VE CHEATED YOU ONCE I CAN DO IT AGAIN!' she roared. She almost seemed possessed. She attacked Zhale with all the rage, fury, strength, anything she could find within her.

"But you're connected" Shae screamed at the retreating Cyra "You both have a rought past"

But the wolf kept running.

Zhale felt that the she-wolf had become stronger somehow. She was ataacking him with all her might. He didn't back down thought. Attacking her with great might, he also caught glimpses of the other wolves that were watching them in awe.

Shae arrived at the battlefield and immediatelly stopped. There in the middle of the clearing were hadow and Zhale both covered in blood. They were fighting with all their power and strenght.

Without giving it a second thought Shae quickly pounced on Zhale. She bit and scratched and ripped and pulled and she did all of it because of them. Because of Shadow and Cyra and Saphira and Silver and Fengo and Damos and for the whole pack. She was going to protect them if it meant she died.

Shadow attacked Zhale too. She started ripping at his tail.

Cyra growled.''Well she doesn't seem to care so i shall leave and only return if one is needed.and im certainly not needed at this very moment '' she said walking away.

Shadow rolled Zhale over, pinning him to the ground. 'zany last words?' she growled furiously as she placed her claw on his chest. Her pupils were just red blots of fire.

Zhale smiled again.

"You know? This reminds me of how your mother died!" hesaid to Shadow and then turned to shae and looked her in the eyes. "Do you remember little sister? You were so young... and you watched her get killed... you remember dont you? That was why they shouldn't have chosen you thats why they should've chosen me. Because I could've protected them. What did you do? You just sat and watched them die. And now even with the new generations you can't even protect them... you're pathetic..." he snarled at her and then turned to Shadow "You too... Luna. A crazy pathetic pest."

Shadow laughed. 'this is coming from YOU? You're the most pathetic thing I've seen since Cyra!' with this she dug her claw right through his heart and ripped it out.

Cyra hated hearing him saying those words.''WHAT ARE YOU TO BLAME? YOU KILLED TONS OF WOLVES! YOUR SICK AND YOU DESERVE TO DIE YOU ROTTEN LITTLE PIECE OF BONES!'' she roared jumping down and clawing him across the face giving him a nasty scar.

Zhale laughed as warm blood poured from his mouth.

"Crazy pathetic pest... with no parents and no friends... you're all alone... little wolf." and with a smile on his face, he died.

Shadow looked up, holding the heart in her mouth. That had been fury. PURE FURY. Maybe she wasnt as pathetic as she made out.

Shadow turned away, her eyes brimmed with tears. 'goodbye, father.' she whispered quietly. ( @jupiter_hollow that okay wih you?) she walked over to Damos. 'get up,' she said, nudging him. 'get up now. He's....' her voice caught in her throat. 'dead.' the last word barely came out.

Shae looked at her brother that lay dead in the dust and then turned to the crying Shadow.

"Now you know..." she whispered sadly "You are the only heir of Zhale. He and I were Elders... creatures that live forever and protect a pack... I was chosen for this one and he-for the other one-the weaker one, Zhale disliked that and wanted to distroy me and the moonlight pack ...and now that he is dead, his pack has no Elder...I too am going to leave soon, my time is almost up, I have lived for more than a hundred years... now you have to choose whether you will take my place ...or his..." she looked the wolf in the eyes. "The choice is up to you"

Damos howled to the stary sky. He howled to make sure that Zhale made it alright to the Lupus Cave in the sky. Even if he was a traitor, he deserved to be in the heavens.

Saphira smiled at the sound of her mate's howling.

Shae approached the howlig wolf and his family.

"And you" she said to the happy parents. "The stars have predicted a great future for you and your children. Fengo and Silver will become mighty warriors and protectors of the pack, the best of the best, they will be unbeatable and feared of from the pther packs. They will be legendary. The yin" she pointed to the black puppie "and yang" she nudged the grey and white one.

Shadow stood there, pondering. *if I take my fathers place... Does that make me evil? Do i have to protect the weaker pack? I don't want to. I want to take shae's place....*
