I Need help, what do you think?

I am like in love with the Hunger Games, so i started to write a story of the next gen. i want to know what you people think. (im not done yet, i just wanna know if i sould continue. Also I NEED HELP COMEING UP WITH OTHER TRIBUES, sorry for caps and spelling, i just really need help with the other charaters.)

I wake up, opening my eyes slightly. Looking around my room, the sun is not up but I know I can't go back to sleep. Today is my second Reaping. I don't remember much about my first reaping, I don't even remember the tributes names. Here is district 12, The Hunger Games tributes have a tendency to lose. My mother and Father won, but that was years ago, in the 74th Hunger Games. I watched the 74th games a lot, just hoping that if I'm picked, that I will know something, attest if I am picked my mentors will be family.
I force myself up and out of bed. I step onto a hard wood floor and start walking slowly down stairs. When I reach the last step I see that no one is up and about, not even my little brother. I walk over to the fridge witch always has food thanks to living in the victors village of 12. I hum softly as I get out a roll as a small breakfast. "I hope I can go hunting today" I mumble as I look at my mother's father's Game bag and wonder what it was like to hunt for every meal.

@pebblestar-nightclan i know, but i kinda want to make it like alot of years later, so its fixed 😸 lol
i might change the main charaters age so that it can be more years, insted of 13 years old 😋

@chloekins Well, im still trying to do first person right, all the storys i write are in 3ed person normaly. Also i am only almost 13, im not good at writeing just thought i could giveit another shot.

Also i need a good name for the little brother, anyone have ideas?

@carter My first and foremost suggestion is spell check. Nobody enjoys reading a messy story. Type it on a word processor (Word, Pages, etc.), it'll check automatically as you go. If you seriously cannot be bothered to do any of that, get an editor.

My second suggestion is to finish reading Catching Fire and Mockingjay. A lot happens in those two books that you're definitely missing if you want to write a Hunger Games story.

@silver_winged i have read them all, but this is an alternative story, so not everything that happend in them will be said in this.

I like you people's help, but its not like its ever going to get published, so, im not trying to sound like a good writer, truth is im not. I have never finished writing one story, i start but never finish them, odds are this will end up the same way.

You should base one of the characters on Chaos, that shouLd be her nickname...
You should have a disabled kin in the games (One arm, blind, one leg etc.)
