67th Hunger Games

"Please," Caesar Flickerman requested, "tell us about this year's games."

The woman in the next chair tittered. She was young and pretty, perhaps in her late twenties or early thirties, with short periwinkle hair and flower-printed lips. "You know I can't give anything away," she reminded him apologetically, then began to giggle again as the crowd moaned disappointedly.

"Come now!" he scolded, flashing her a playful grin. She truly laughed this time, the stage lights illuminating her white teeth.

"Really," she insisted, trying to catch her breath. "I'm sorry. But there are plenty of surprises in store, both for you and for the tributes. I can almost guarantee an unlikely victor."

"How so?" Caesar inquired with a dramatic lift of his eyebrow.

The woman chuckled. "Most years, the games are about brute force and weapons training. But I have to tell you, Caesar," she said, leaning in and reducing her tone to an intimate murmur, "that's just not my style." Her devious smile soon brought back her own giggles as well. "There should be just as much thinking as there is fighting!" This drew a collective murmur of appreciation.

"Well, you know what they say, folks," said Caesar, rising from his chair. "Each Gamemaker is an entirely different game. Breeze D'lyte, the bah-rand new Gamemaker and creator of this year's Hunger Games! Thank you so much, dear." With a giggle and a curtsy, she concluded her interview, and smiled for the cameras until their recording lights vanished.

Follow all EggCave rules.
Do not control the character(s) of any other roleplayer.
All posts MUST be in third person.
All posts must be substantial. No one-liners.
No tampering with the arena. (That's my job. ;D)
Sponsors and arena interactions will be determined by me (and me only).

This roleplay will progress very similarly to the first Hunger Games book. It will focus around a single set of tributes. (Yes, you read that right: the two tribute slots listed at the top are the ONLY major tribute slots.) The rest of the tributes will not be active in the roleplay until the games. The roles are listed in order of appearance.

If you would like to join, please PM me with your character application. If you are approved, I will instruct you to re-post it on the roleplay. Characters are NOT chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis. I will be judging based on the depth of your character and on the quality of your writing. (I do my research.)

The roleplay will begin during the Reaping. The District is decided by the first approved tribute.

@pebblestar-nightclan Escort, mentor, prep team, or stylist! I have all the forms in the second post. I've found that these roleplays get impossible to handle when there are a billion tributes. If we just focus on two from the same district, everything is so much cleaner.
