Hayden looked at everything mistified. Everything there was so magnificent and just, neat! The dinning hall was the place to make his jaw drop. The food looked delicious and the floating decorations were super interesting. Having never even seen magic in the works, this was probably the neatest thing. He wondered if he would learn how to levitate things.

Tucked away in the back of the group stood a tall black haired girl. The other kids had been avoiding her all this time but she hadn't noticed. She didn't mind that. She was used to it.
She looked around throught her black eyes that despite the dark colour still shone brightly. She lifted her head to look at the floating candles in the air, the magical ghosts that flew past their group, the giant magnificent platform that was at the end of the room. She watched everything and everybody. Her curious eyes sneakily darted around the room as she saw the long tables and the huge, bright windows. It was magical for the others but she herself did no 'aw'ing or 'ooh'ing. She was used to magic and wizardry so this made just a tiny difference to her than the dark potion room she had at home.

Aizel was watching a fat ghost lady whirl by her when she suddenly turned around, feeling a pair of eyes on her and caught the gaze of a boy. She looked in his eyes and after a moment looked away. She felt uncomfortable being looked at. The kids she met usually thought she was weird because of her heritage and would stare at her strangely all the time. She couldn't say she wasn't used to it but it still made her shudder.

Aizel didn't feel the boy's gaze leave her back so she assumed he was still watching. She turned around again and looked at him. He was different. He didn't look at her like she was a freak. He looked at her like a normal human being. She attempted to smile but then decided against it and simply moved away from the boy's view.

Hayden saw that everyone was following an older woman who had an air of power and strictness about her. It struck fear into him. He obediently followed her with everyone else. He had a feeling that if he got onto her bad side he would regret it.
