Aizel stood up but instead of following the Slytherins she took off into the hallways on her own, looking around the school for herself. She was always curious when it came to magic so she had planned herself a treck around the corridors of the magical building. As she stepped on one of the stairs she felt the wood beneath her feet move. She hugged the railing tightly, on the tought that it was a earthquake, but after a moment she realised that it wasn't the ground that was shaking. The stairs were moving. She laughed lightly and continued her adventure.

Sirius walked to the large portirit of the Fat Lady. He racked his brain trying to remember the password the prefect had said then remembered, "Nimbulus." She let him pass and he walked into the room.

Grace smiled and sat down next to Sirius once she was placed in Gryffindor. When Dumbledore stopped talking, all of the houses went to their rooms. Grace followed the Gryffindors.(Obviously)

"Okay," Grace said, another short pause indicated she was thinking again. "My father told me there are only a few pureblood families left. And some are completely obsessed with keeping the 'status'." She said status with an eyeroll and some air quotes. "Anyways, the only way to keep their status was to marry another pureblood. And there aren't that many, of course. So they go and marry someone already related to them. It all ends up with every pureblood being related to another." Another pause came to let her breathe and think. "Do you have a family tree?" Grace asked. "I mean, a visible one with pictures of the relative or something."

"I hate it too," Grace sighed. "I'm just thankful my parents are sane and not controlling my life." She shook her head. "But all of my other relatives are... are..." Her hands were shaking, rage building up. Her voice was tense as she spoke. "It's so bad that there's not a word to describe them."

Grace stared at Sirius's family tree in horror. "This just isn't right!" she said in a loud whisper. She leaned back in her chair. "You know what? When I grow up, I won't marry a pureblood. Just to end this awful line and show them that I can do whatever I want to do." Her face relaxed as she said it.
