I think this is where I left off...

The police canine unit was in hot persuit of Vex, as he sprinted between the trees. A twing snapped behind him, signaling the dogs were right on his heels. A heavy weight knocked him to the ground. The smell of decaying leaves filled his nose. The muscular body of the German Shepard padded across his back. Suddenly, a heavy pressure and a sharp pain shot up his neck. Darkness danced across his field of view. A wave of relaxation washed over him as he closed his grey eyes.

Piercing blck eyes widened as they fell on Vex's unmoving body on the ground. She paused for a moment, mind blank of shock.

Her thoughts suddenly clicked together and in a matter of moments she was spriting towards the boy. In her rush she had forgotten to shield herself from the dog but had managed to snatch a heavy fallen branch as a weapon. She swung the wood, hitting the dog square in the jaw and quickly pulled Vex up while the animal was howling in pain.
"Come on! Run!" she urged the boy, keeping him balanced as she dragged him to the cave.

The police hadn't arrived yet, but she knew they weren't far. They had to reach the others before they were seen.

Brendon looked back "God!" he yelled running and helping Aizel with Vex.He felt a bad pain in his foot but he ignored it.

Pulling Vex hard up by his shirt, she managed to get the boy onto her back and dragged him back to the cave whit Brendon's help.
"I hope they didn't see us" she mumbled unaudibly.

She held her breath, standing in a lowered position near the cave exit, ready to pounce on enyone who dared enter. The footsteps drew closer and in one fleeting moment she thought that they were over with. The men, fortunatelly, passed by their hideout without noticing them.

Letting out the breath that she'd been holding, Aizel fell back onto the cave floor, sighing in relief and relaxed against one of the walls.
"We're safe... for now"

A searin pain ripped through Vex's neck. Jostles and bruised. Jostled and bruised. Jostled and bruised. Those three words played in Vex's mind, sending pangs of hope through his body. He was alive, just barely. Two familiar voice skittered through the night air. In attempt to look up, Vex howled in pain. It was worse than he thought. Paralyzing. The only word to describe the feelings flowing through his veins. 'Ga-a-a-a-a-a-ag-g-g-g-g-g-g' Vex muttered, blindly clawing his way across the cave floor. The dank, must smell sent his stomach into the tumult of neasea.

Wincing slightly at the boy's howl, Aizel quickly drew closer to Vex, taking one of his hands and throwing it around her shoulder, pulling him up on her back and carrying him to the deep side of the cave, to safety. It was freezing outside, not only because of the cold november air but of the dark clous that loomed over the sky.

Letting out a quiet gasp as her lashed legs and ars were pressured, Aizel managed to take him to the other side of the cave and place him against the nearest wall.
"Don't move" she mumbled.

He wasn't just injured, she noticed, he had also entered a fragile state of mind. His webbed hands still bled profusedly as she tried rebandaging them again.
"Hold on, it's going to be okay" she added, barely audibly.

Aizel quickly set the heavy backack on the ground, pulling out the bandages and medicine that she had taken just in case someone go thurt.

She was thankful for doing so and ushed over to Vex, cleasning his wounds and checking the bandage on his webbed hands again.

She turned to Katia, glancing at her sideways as she tended to the boy's injury.
"I don't know. You said that Barde Manor was deserted right? Is it near?" she asked in a rush.

Brendon glanced over and signed deeply.He picked up a small rock and froze.Brendon took hold of the large rock and snapped it in half.Diamonds glistend hidden by the rocks grey outside "Wow.." he mumbled staring at it.

Whipping her head around, Aizel glanced sideways at Brendon. His lip was still bleeding badly and he really seemed pale. She couldn't blame him though. After all the happenings and the witch's death, she wondered how she herself had managed to still remain calm. He wasn't panicked, that was a good sign, but that didn't mean he was okay.
"Hey,.." she whispered to him gently. "How are you feeling?"

Brendon looked up "I-I'm fine.." he lied at least some bit convincing.The pain ran through his lip and he had lost a good amount of blood but he had not said anything as he didn't like people fussing over him.Brendon licked the blood from his lip in attempt to get rid of it.

A ghost of a smile passed her lips as Aizel figured his actions out quite quickly.
"Come over here. You're still bleeding. I'll need to bandage your lip again." she said, ressurance vivid in her voice. "It's not a bother for me. I'm just worried" she added quickly.

Brendon looked over "Well it's just I am not used to people worrying over me.." he said in his dull normal tone.His voice seemed weird like it was colder sounding.He held the diamond rock glancing at it.then suddenly memories flooded into his mind and he closed his eyes to get rid of them.

Aizel chuckled, pulling him closer by his elbow and inspected his lip.
"Well, You better get used to it. We're a family now. You're our brother and friend. Of course we'd be worried... Darn, it's infected. Hold up for a sec" she mumbled, opening her backpack again and pulling out a small medicine bottle. "hydrogen peroxide" she said to Brendon before pouring some onto a bandage and pressing it onto the wound.

Brendon cringed when the bandage came in contact on his wound."Owch It stings.." he said in shock."Well I've never had a family..or it never felt like it.." he said silently "Guess it does feel nice to have one.." he said his tone lighter and more pleasant.

Brendon thought for a moment "Yeah.." he said once again his tone going to a dull flat.His large blue eyes sparkled despite the lack of sun as it setted behind the hills painting the sky with red orange and white.Brendon thought of his past home how cold it was..the tension every day..Now away from that he felt peaceful and silent.

Aizel glanced sideways at Aktia and Vex, returning her gaze at Brendon afterwards.
"But now we have each other right? We all share the same burden and now it doesn't seem like such a heavy weight anymore. Feels like home..." she smiled, heartily this time, looking deep into the big blue eyes which shone brightly.
