You have caught an unknown and new disease which scientists are struggling to find a cure of. If not cured, you will die within one year. It had no symptoms except for two. One of them is that you can look into other people's dreams. At night, when others are sleeping, you place your fingers onto a person's head and you connect with their mind and can see what they are dreaming. Cool, huh? Wrong. You can get lost in dreams, trapped in a place neither real nor existing and die within it. People with your disease call themselves DreamWalkers.

Other diseased people have decided to use this new found ability to control and wreck havoc in dreams. They can turn sweet dreams into horrific nightmares. These people call themselves The NightMares It is your task as a DreamWalker to track these people down and eliminate them. Until then, your disease cannot be cured and you will die.

You can manipulate and control other people's dreams but by doing so, you are at risk of becoming trapped in the dream world. Since there are two symptoms, your other symptom of this disease is a supernatural ability. You can have one ability only such as shape shifting, flying, power to understand any language, etc - nothing too big such as the power to torture someone, or predicting the future.

~More background info~
This RP is set in the modern world i.e. one with cars, trains, skyscrapers etc.

The DreamWalkers choose to meet with other DreamWalkers in order to find a way to rid of NightMares. As of now, they currently have no way to totally wipe the entire population of NightMares out and have to resolve to tracking them down one-by-one.

Unknown to the Dreamwalkers, scientists have found a possible cure to this disease but it still has flaws and isn't considered completely safe so the knowledge of this was not released to public.

Why Nightmares choose to create nightmares is unknown.

Has no regard for other's feelings. Takes pleasure in creating nightmares for others. Is not afraid of death because her disease may kill her anyway.
Appearance: Long black hair which hangs past her shoulders. Olive skin. Dark brown eyes. Wears a dog tag necklace.
Ability: Can temporarily blind others by shrouding them in darkness.
Alliance: Nightmares
Other: She hates her disease and thinks it is unfair that she is destined to die. In retaliation, she tries to make other people's lives miserable.

Aizel looked back at the black plains and the evil skies, the dark crows and bats that now began transforming into beautiful forests and sunny clouds, colourful butterflies and singing birds. She glanced at the dead Nightmare in her feet, then turned away and concentrated carefully. She felt her body dissolve from the dream world and materialize into reality. She was standing onto a soft king sized bed, baldahin curtains gently shadowing the laying figure next to her. The silk covers had slipped away from the sleeping woman on the pillow as she had been trashing around wildly a few minutes ago.

She was safe now. Aizel smiled.

She pulled the sheets back onto the sweetly dreaming woman and walked out in the dead of night.

Kauto left the homeless man's dream. As fun as it may be to peer into others dreams, he didn't want to effect the dream in any way. It was just a matter of curiosity for him, unlike NightMares, who torment people's dreams for fun.

He pulled back and saw a glimpse of a girl. Grinning, he walked up to her, waving a hand, "Heya!"

Aizel smiled.
"Hey Kauto! Good news. I managed to track down Ruby." she said happily, referring to the nightmare that they had been having troubles with recently. The girl had been tormenting the people's dreams, makign her victims kill themselves. But now Ruby was no more. "What more did you find about Axel?" she asked him. Axel was another one of those troublesome Nightmares that they had to track down.

"Sorry. I couldn't find any trace of him," he said, frowning.

"But good work on getting rid of Ruby! I hope it wasn't too tiring for you," Kauto added.

"I just cornered her into some rich woman's dreams and got rid of her.
"And don't worry about Axel. He's not that big of a problem." she said with a smile. "I'm hungry!" she whined grumpily and then her face lit up. "Let's go get some chips!" she squeaked enthusiastically.
