Your sitting around a large campfire, the full moon shining in the night sky. Somewhere a wolf howled, and bats flit through the darkness. A group of boys and girls say around the campire on logs, looking at you. Suddenly, the fire flares up for a few seconds and the oldest girl from the group looks at you. "It's your turn."

The last par of a creepy story i found somewhere ;P

The man with the tilbe was across the road, watching me with his dark eyes. He smiled and waited till my parents had left the house. He walked over a snide smile on his face. My breath caught in my throat.
"You must take my place." His voice scraped the inside of my stomach. I gasped as he grabbed my wrist and I felt my body erupt in agony. I screamed and I saw my parents rush round the corner. My mother screamed, I saw her rush forward and pick me up. I watched her cradle my lifeless body in her arms.
I blinked and screamed again, I was dead. Then I found myself in the graveyard.
Ever since that day I've guarded the stone. But no one was as unlucky as me to glance at the stone. Maybe your true name is one you already no, you glance in dreams. If you do. I'm coming for you so don't close your eyes.
Your true name unlocks powers that only the dead can possess, I'm coming to get you so don't sleep, don't get angry you need to hide, to run, to never scream when you see me. A little girl with a tible and big black eyes

I remember this story from an anime I was watching...

A wife caught her husband cheating on her. She goes all crazy yelling at him, "How could you do this?! I loved you!!" Well the husband gets angry and pushes her. Turns out he pushed her too hard and kills her. They had a son, a little boy at round 6 years old. After the husband cleans up his mess and hides the body, the little boy comes down stairs and asks, "Where's mommy?" "She's gone on vacation. She'll be back soon." The husband couldn't bring himself to tell his son the truth.

So months go by and the little boy never asks about his mother again. Every day the father expects his son to demand what his mommy is, but he never asks. One day the father can't take it anymore and he asks the boy, "Why haven't you asked about your mother? Don't you miss her?" The little boy looks at his father with a puzzled expression and says, "What do you mean daddy? Mommy has been right next to you the whole time."

Scary stories mainly work because of the storyteller's body language.

My story is "Once upon a time there was an ugly barnacle. The barnacle was so ugly that everybody died. The end."

@bunnyshadow - How about this rhyme from Buffy the Vampire Slayer? (Season 4 Episode 10 "Hush") Apparently it's from a fairy tale in the Buffy world. 😋

One tome,a couple wrnt out. Theygot a babysitter to watch the kids. After about an hour, the babysitter called and asked if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids room. They said get out of tne house, we dont own a clown statue. The police came, and turns out it was an escaped murderer. If u dont post this to at least ten peoples walls orforums, he will b in ur room at 3:00 am
