I think to world will end. But not in 2012. The error is that in the Maya calender, there are NO lap years. If there were no lap years, we would have already PASSED 2012. 😊

But I think the world will end because of the climat. In Motreal,(where I live) the 2 past years, the temperature had new records.

Actually, the Earth has had MUCH warmer (and MUCH colder) temperatures than for most of human history. The world could always have another Ice Age, or it could have the opposite of that.
Higher temperatures might *eventually* mean the end of HUMANS, but not of Earth. Earth is much more durable than you might think.

Also, EVERYONE! The Mayans did NOT end their calendar in 2012! December 22, 2012 was NOT the end of their calender, it was the end of the current CYCLE. A cycle is a certain period of years, or something like that. 😋

The Mayan calendar is said to end on December 12, 2012. If it's true, you still have a while.

BUT it's not. It's not just that I don't believe that the world will end; it's that the Mayans never predicted any such thing.
For the Mayans, December 12, 2012 is the date that the current *cycle* (not the Earth) will end and the next one will begin. It seems like a cycle is a given period of years.

So, nothing to worry about, period 😊
