(Idea gotten from the TV show, Lost)

A tragedy has happened. You were on a plane, heading to New York City when suddenly, something went terribly wrong. No one is sure what happened but the plane went down, crashing on an Island in the middle of nowhere. No one knows where you are. You don't know where you are. All seems lost.

It's up to us to band together to survive. There are many creatures on the island, and even a group of people that have made a home here before us. They don't want us here. Problems are sure to come. And we must trust each other. It'll be hard. It'll be difficult. But we must survive.


RULES:

Literate roleplay.
No posts shorter than five sentences.
No Mary Sues/Gary Stus.

SETTING: Will be updated as we move around.

We are currently on the beach. The plane crashed near the ocean. There are many large rocks around, and the forest is nearby. There are no fields in site, and there is one cliff that leads to more forest.

We still have exploring to do.

WHERE WE ARE IN THE ROLEPLAY: (Will be updated daily)

We've just come to after realizing we've crash landed. There are bodies around us, and the survivors are still in the process of coming together.

Sorry, not sure who to ping. /feelsawkward/ Not sure what kind of roleplays you guys like, but worth a shot.


MY CHARACTER:

Name: Charlie

Gender: Female

Role: Leader

Age: 21

Personality: She's tough and strong. She doesn't break down easily, nor does she give up. She hates liars, and doesn't trust easily. She is good at being in charge, and bad at following orders. She can be sarcastic and is very brutally honest. But she's the most loyal friend you could have.

History: Charlie was taking Criminology and Psychology classes at University and was hoping to be a part of the FBI someday. To be a profiler was her dream. She lived on her own, and often did things solo. She hadn't spoken to her parents in months, as they didn't agree with her life choices but she was very close to her older brother, whom she misses dearly.

Appearance: Darkish blonde, blue/green eyes. 5'6. And athletic.

Other: Has level three first aid, and many survival skills. She spent her teenage years in a military school, and she never thought she'd say it but it's come in handy here.

Personality: Cael's tough and reluctant to take orders, however he will if he respects the person enough. He doesn't have much patience for whiners, but he tries to put up with them as best he can.
Appearance: Sandy brown hair, green eyes, 6'2, and athletic.

Name: Alice
Gender: Female
Role: Collector
Age: 21

Personality: She always seems a little confused and dazed and has a tendency to wander around aimlessly. However, she has a sharp eye (a little like a magpie) and is able to spot useful materials and edible plants. She also likes picking up shiny things and has trouble letting go of material objects that she takes a liking to.

History prior to the island: She never went to University, and instead worked a variety of jobs, many of them labour intensive. Her last job was at a run-down restaurant, washing dishes. She didn't earn much, and all of her money went to paying rent and buying food. Any extra money she had she threw away, as it means nothing to her.

Appearance: Thin, pale brown hair, slender to the point of being skinny, large brown eyes. About 5'4". She looks quite fragile, but is actually reasonably strong.

Anything else you care to add? She doesn't care for money (unless it is in the form of coins), but she does like 'pretty things' which can range from shells to dried leaves and anything shiny.

Name: Jude Charles
Gender: Male
Role: Child
Age: 12

Personality: A young boy who is optimistic of life and eager to please others. He never backs down from a challenge. Loves to talk and finds humour even in the darkest of times. Is a bubbly and active person who always wants make friends. Innocent and ignorant of people who choose to harm him. Does not understand why people are mean or cruel.

History prior to the island: Born in a family of four siblings, being the youngest. His eldest brother and sister had passed away from cancer so Jude's family had experienced tragedies of death. Jude was always the child to brighten up the solemn mood in his household. Unlike the rest of his family, he chose not to dwell in grief for too long, knowing that it would do no good. He tries to maintain a brave demeanour but can easily break down in tears when provoked.

Appearance: Small for his age and lanky. Small build. Has olive skin and black eyes which seem to light up with excitement. Has black short scruffy hair and a fringe which constantly hangs in his eyes.

Anything else you care to add? Misses his family dearly.

Name: Ruki Mained

Gender: F

Role: Teenager

Age: 16

Personality (Don't say develops) After being traumatised at a very young age, by her big brother trying to scare her with a 'freaky video', Ruki has always been the survivalist, insisting that she worked alone, all the time. She is a cold, merciless person, having her mentality mostly broken, and prefers to work alone, which might as well be for the benefit of others. Often, she has temper fits, and dramatic mood swings.

History prior to the island: Ever since her traumatic experience at a young age, Ruki has been branded as 'mentally unwell', often hallucinating or having strange fits of temper. As well as that, the nerve which controls her emotions has been broken, making her cold and merciless, a destruction machine, if you'd rather. Thanks to that experience, she'd always been convinced that 'monsters', for a lack of better term, were out to get her, thus, moulding herself into a survivalist. She's only ever had one sibling, also known as her brother, and her parents did as much as they could to rehabilitate her, going on the plane was an extension of celebration of her almost full-recovery.

Appearance: Short darkish hair, with black rings underneath her eyes. Typically, she wears a thin, white, shift, branded with her patient number - 297, however, for the purpose of the trip, her parents decided to dress her in something more 'lively' - brown shorts, a green tank top, and heavy boots. Usually wears her hair in a makeshift ponytail, or, if necessary, down.

Anything else you care to add? At even the worst of times, Ruki's survivalist mindset keeps her resourceful and, for lack of better term, smart - not stupid or spaced out as people may think of her as. As well as that, her sane-ness varies between time - sometimes, she's almost fully functional, other times, she's full-out insane, however, unlike the typical person who may be affected by such results, her insanity comes from subliminal triggers - there were many in the original video. If you work it out, it's easy to understand.

Help - Hallucinations, running away
Love - Need to kill
Die - Anybody within a five-metre radius must die
Survive - Need to go away, nobody can be trusted
297 - Must get to home, must get to safe place, everything else is bad

Personality: A survivor. She never trusts anyone, never opens up, never helps. Rude and unmannered, results of her hard childhood, she gets very agressive even from the slightest provocation. Prefers to use brute force instead of thinking and lashes out at the simplest things. She is also quite stubborn, never gives up on her opinion. Despite her tought self, she also loves drawing but hides it quite well and has a caring side, that very rarely acts up.

History prior to the island: Was born in a poor family that barely had the money to raise her. She was an only child and due to her father's absence and her mother's lack of care, she was always out on the streets. After a while of wandering the neightbourhoods, she got accepted into a gang. The members, all men, thaught her to defend herself in the dangerous streets. She, being a fast learner, quickly mastered her skills and outmastered the whole gang. She was once again thrown out in the streets, rejected from the gang and continued her wandering. Switching from one town to the other, she never really seemed to find her place. She earned money from fights and bets. Word about her quickly spread and once she was attacked by a group of men. In an act of self-defence she managed to stab one of the men and murdered him. She was sent to jail in California but was soon labeled 'Extremely Dangerous' after murdering her cell buddy and was supposed to be transported to a different jail in New York. The plane, fortunately, crashed.
Appearance: Petite and athletic, with a little muscle. She has tanned skin that contrasts to her inky black eyes and red lips. Shoulder lenght coal black hair that is cut into a straight line and triangular bangs of the same colour. Has a prison number tattoo on her left shoulder and a dragon on her whole back.
Anything else you care to add: She has many scars on her body from the numerous fights she's been into.

Name: Lutz (lAHts) J"ager

Gender: M

Role: Builder/Teenager

Age: 18

Personality: Normally cheerful and friendly, and always thinking of others before himself, however he has quite a deep, thoughtful disposition and sometimes lapses into moody silences. He's got some issues with depression, but nothing very serious, and hides it well. Lutz is also a natural at lying, and considering this, he is strangely very trusting in other people.

History prior to the island: When he was just a baby he was diagnosed with Einstein Syndrome. His parents grew exceptionally high expectations for him, and when it turned out the doctor was wrong, they didn't drop them and continued to pressure him into doing well at everything. Having this pressure from a very young age, Lutz did do very well, but his home environment was stressful, and his parents had wanted him to become a lawyer or doctor or sonething, while he wanted to be an artist, so he'd managed to convince his parents to allow him to go on a student exchange to Germany (where, incidentally, his family was from. (You can tell by the names.)). He was just on his way back home when the plane crashed.

Appearance: Curly blonde hair and blue eyes. Average but strong build, nothing particularly special to look at, although he has a cute smile.

Anything else you care to add? As well as being an artist, he's quite good with technology as well, fixing radios etc.
