You see my tears? No. I take that back, no tears. I lost my ability to cry long ago. Long. Very long ago. Cruel as cruel can life be for you, it'll never add up to the way mine is. I'm gone now. She rushed to the nearby pond, nearly collapsing next to the edge and drinking water. She had been running for hours now, hoping that he had not caught up with her. She looked around warily, trying to determine where she was.

She sighed in relief when she recognised the area as the forest near an abandoned village. She didn't remember its name but she guessed it would do for the night. She was tired and already craved for sleep.
