Yay!http://news.yahoo.com/supermoon-may-outshine-meteor-shower-weekend-201132286.html People keep telling me it already happened. o_0 this article is from yesterday. Which is Wednesday. The moon will be at it's closest to Earth (about 22,000 miles) AND be a full moon on Saturday, around midnight. It's perfect for my plans! 😃 I can imagine me on my back porch, in the pitch black nightime holding-- O-O *cough* uh, a... telescope! yeah. that was a nice save.EDIT: O-O I posted that last sentence.

I'm excited about the moon, I love the moon. 😊But I didn't know there was going to be a meteor shower... O.O
univea • 3 May 2012 at 6:10 PM
@morgana I first found out about the meteors, then the moon like "YAY! Aw... but still YAY!" XD
morgana • 3 May 2012 at 6:16 PM
@univea I just had the same reaction. Just switch the meteor and moon around. 😋

There was supposed to be a big meteor shower on April 22 here, but it was cloudy that night :'( I didn't know that about the moon, though.

@Univea OK. X3@Dreamer Hm... I think you saw my reply to the PM. xDDD
Orderedchaos • 3 May 2012 at 6:44 PM
@cotton There can be more than one supermoon in a year. The moon reaches the perigee point once every cycle around the earth. So it is entirely possible for the fullmoon to happen at the same time as perigee multiple times a year.
