A story.

Chapter 1: (There are 4-5 chapters. Story by me)

I start waking up. I try to grab on to something to get up. But theres was nothing. Nothing at all. So I decided to open my eyes. When I did, I could feel a bright light go into my eyes like dozens of small daggers. I look around to see that there is... nothing. I was just there, laying on my back, in a complete white space. No walls, just nothing. No even a sound. Myself I was invisible. I tried moving around, but it was like if something was pulling me into a hole. I kept looking around for a clue... just something. A finally, something DID appear. It was a small, green sprout. It then grew into a beautiful, red rose right before my eyes. But then, I wanted to grab it. Like if some invisible force wanted me to take, as if my life depended on the flower. But it was hard, so hard to get to it. And when I went to finally take it, it fawned. I cried. I cried, as if it was the end of the world. I did not like this strange... feeling.

Chapter 2:

I kept crying as I saw the dead rose in front of me. Then, I felt tired. All that moving with such great effort make me tired. So I closed my eyes.

I woke up, again. But this time, it was different. I was floating. I was above a girl... but she was in a hospital, and around were family members and friends.... Wait! I knew that person, she was-. Too late to think about that. Something in her hands caught my attention. It was the bud... of a rose. Then that feeling took over me again. I wanted to grab, to take it. I tried moving but it was impossible! This made me cry. Not just of sadness. But of confusion. Why did I want that flower so badly? WHY? Then, like in my first dream, it blossomed right in her hands. I started feeling sleepy... and I closed my eyes for a second time.

Chapter 3:

I wake up for the third time. I feel... different. But this time, I can move. I try getting up on my two legs, but I fall down. I try again and again, but I fail everytime... Then, I hear a meow. But it was close, real close. I look at myself... I have fur... Who am I? Or more, WHAT am I? I look down. Theres a crystal clear puddle. On the water, I see the reflection of a black cat with yellow eyes. I'm a cat! I look in front of me. I see a window. It's the hospital. I see the same girl that I saw from my second dream. I walk over to the window. i wan't to get in... but WHY? I meow in agony and sorrow, scratching the window. Nothing good. I look behind. Oh no. There they are, those red roses. Dozens of them. I jump on them, wanting to take one. But they die as soon as I touch them. I can't cry, since I am not human. They, I start to feel sleepy again. No! I can't let this happen! I must... stay... awake. Too late! I feel something hit the back of my head with incredible force, knocking me out and putting into deep slumber.

Chapter 4:

I wake up. Again. But this time, I'M the girl in the hospital... wait. I'm myself. What am I doing here? I look around. My family and some of my friends are there. I look to my mom and asked her what happened.

A car accident.

It all came back to me. My and Catty. My best friend. In a car. It happened so fast, too fast. In a second, we were spinning in the road.

As every friend would ask, I told my mother were Catty was.

Dead.

DEAD. Those words swirled in my head like a tornado. The dreams... They were clues. Keys. The pieces of a puzzle.

The first dream. I WAS Catty. I was struggling to get the rose. Because Catty always loved roses. She told if she died one day, she would liked to be in a pile of roses. Like in her favourite song, "If I Die Young".

Second dream. I was Catty. Again. I was floating above myself. I wanted to reach to my friend, me, not the rose.

And the third dream. Catty loved cats. Mostly black ones. She said if she died, she would love to relive as one.

I flash back to reality and look out the window. There SHE is. Catty. But as a cat. I see her, slumbering in the cool grass. I look down to my hands.

A rose.

Chapter 5:

I look outside again. The cat is no longer there. It must have been an illusion. I look down to the rose and asked were it came from to my mom.

Catty.

Catty gave me this rose in the last minutes of her life. I held on to the last thing left of my friend, ignoring the pain the thorns were causing me.

Then, my father arrived with a cage. What was in it? He then open the door and I saw a black cat, the same one from my dream. It was strange, knowing that in front of me was my friend, but in another form. Catty then looked at me and let out a playful meow. She then jumped on my lap and purred. I put the rose in a side table. I did not care that I was in a hospital, all I wanted was to be with Catty.

And maybe one day, I could meet her in the Heavens.

Maybe.... but thats just another...

...dream.

END OF STORY. MIGHT CONTINUE IF ASKED. OR I MIGHT MAKE ANOTHER STORY.

Chapter 6:

I was finally out of the hospital. I came back home and at school, my friends were glad to see me alive. But they cried when I told them Catty was dead.

One day, I brought my cat to school. I started telling everyone my cat was Catty and I told them about my dreams.

Bad luck.

I ended up taking hours of time talking with a psychologist. Because my parents thought the accident damaged my brain. It was not fair! I kept telling them I was not lying! But no, they did not believe me.

Then my life became a living rollercoaster. I was losing my friends and my grades were dropping. And the flower died. Just like in my dreams. I cried so much. But the feeling came from my heart.

And worst...

My cat went missing.
