"She disappeared." Dante's voice was empty. He walked up to Gene and squatted down next to him. "You weren't supposed to die today." he put his hand on the boy's cold shoulder. For a long time he sat in silence.





...Suddenly, Gene inhaled loudly and started to heavily breath, like a rabbit in a cage. His eyes remained closed.

Her eyes snapped open, her pupils expanded and she stared at the boy in surprise. She gasped.
"H-he's alive... Quick! He needs help!" she exlcaimed, standing up with the boy still cradled in her arms. She attampted lifting him but to no avail. He was a tad too heavy for her. She glanced sideways at Dante. "Help me, will you?" she snipped at the boy.

Dante, astonished at this, quickly grabbed Gene from Aizel's arms and rushed him to the medical department.

"This... It's nothing short of a miracle! This boy should be dead!" the doctor exlaimed, examining the wound. He quickly set to work, fixing him up.

A feeling of deep relief fell over Dante. He texted Johanna about what had happened and sunk into a chair in the waiting room. @seaangel

Despite the doctor's furious protests, a few shouting sessions had convinced him to let her stay with Gene during the operation. She'd sat in a chair near him, not bothering the doctors. Her hands shook slightly, the commotion had definitelly been a tad too much for her. The boy had lost a lot of blood but they kept reassuring her of how well he was doing.

BIC// After what seemed like a lifetime, Gene was bandaged and set in a hospital bed. "He's going to be perfectly fine, except..." the doctor's expression looked quite heartbroken. "He is currently in a coma. We know when, nor where he will wake up."

"But we need to get him out of here right now!" Dante protested.

"I'm sorry, we just can't let him go in this condition." the doctor replied.

As Dante and the doctor spoke outside, Aizel sat comfortably in a small, lime green chair next to Gene's hospital bed and clutched the boy's hand.

She glance sideways at the slightly ajar door, behind which the two men were arguing. She sighed. Gene was in coma... Numerous machines were hooked to him and in this condition, bandaged and drugged, hooked to syringe needles and whatnot, Gene looked like a corpse. She couldn't complain though, at lest he;d survived, that was the most important.

Dante came back into the room. "Aizel, I don't think we need to move him. It seems that Karmin has left the whole building and taken all of her best subordinates with her. HQ is practically empty. I don't think she knows Gene is alive either."

Eyes not leaving Gene's face, Aizel simply stared dully ahead, eyes narrowed at an insvisible target.
"Leave her. She's not your business. Not your or Johanna's. Not anyone's but mine." Her voice was unusually impasionate and cold, blank of no emotion but hate and bottled anger.

Aizel turned to him.
"But she hurt Gene the most and, god be my witness, I swear, she will die from my hand! You can do whatever you like, try to stop me or not but she deserves to die!" Aizel stated, tears beginning to trickle down her cheeks again. "Noone will stop me..."

Concerned, Dimon nudged Kyle.
"I think that we should follow them. What if it's life threatening. And we can't exactly stay here, can we? It's not safe." she knitted her brows in worry.

Dante put his hand on Aizel's shoulder. "I'm not stopping you. Do you think, that I don't want her dead as well? Look, we need all the help we can get. She's not going to be easy to handle, even for more than one person, there's no way that you'd be able to take her on yourself."

Aizel let out a stubborn huff.
"I'll train and I'll become a better fighter." she stated simply, turning her back to him and sitting onto the chair again. Her hand slipped into Gene's again. She looked up at Dante. "I don't care what I gotta do, I'll kill her." she swore.

Dimon became slightly flstered at the words but flashed a sincere smile none the less. Motioning for him to follow, she began walking towards the local hospital where she knew they'd taken Gene to.
"I think it's here." she mused.

Joey walked through the doors and listened Aizel before she went in. "Aizel, we have to team up to kill her. She's too powerful for us to kill on our own." She was telling the truth. I mean, if she could just disappear then they could never kill her if they tried one at a time.

The confused other assassins were gathered at the cafeteria. All of them were trying to figure out what had happened.

"All of the higher ranks besides Dante are gone! There are even a bunch of others missing! Like the Derek fan club girls!"

"I heard that Karmin betrayed us!"

"I don't believe a word of it! That woman's too nice!"

"What rock have you been livin' under, dude? That lady is a witch!"

All the people were talking at once. Dante pushed through the crowd and stood up in front of everyone.

"Listen up! It's true that Karmin has betrayed us, she tried to kill our comrade, Gene. We do not currently know her motives but we know she took everyone who was important to her, with her. If we could all stay calm, it would make things a lot easier for us to figure out a battle plan. Because Karmin won't stop here, we need to fight back, and we need all the people we can get to stop her. This is, the assassin's call!" he paused for a moment then walked away.

...Everyone started to wildly clap, a few people yelled over the noise.

"Whoo! Kill Karmin!"

"YEEEAAAAHHH!!!"

"Dante is so hot!"

"...Who said that?!?"

Joey heard the commotion in the cafeteria and went to investigate. "Dante, first we need someone to take Karmin's place. We also need more then one higher rank! We can't do anything until we get that under hand!" Joey made a really good point.

"I know, and that's why we're going to push everyone to train harder. We need to make Generals since we don't seem to have any more. And I hope no one has objections to me taking control for the time being, as we don't currently have anyone else suitable for the position." Dante explained.

A little girl pushed her way through the crowd. She had short bright sky blue hair and blue eyes. She wore the same color rain coat with yellow boots, a yellow scarf and a yellow hairclip. "Dante, is it true? Karmin has betrayed us?" she tugged on Dante's sleeve.

"Yeah. She did, Rahra." Dante answered, looking down.

Aizel sighed, letting go of Gene's hand and stood up. With one last glance at the boy, she exited the room and trotted over to the cafeteria where everyone was bokkering about something. From the numerous incoherent shouts, she understood that it was Karmin they were arguing about.

Aizel walked over to the table and slammed her fist against the hard wood, silencing everybody.
"Yes, Karmin has betrayed us. She was never the role model that every one of you thought she was. She is not to be trusted and attampted to murder Gene. She is to be killed, otherwise there's no telling what she could do." HEr voice was cold and unnaturally nonchalant. Most of the assassins were baffled by her sudden cold behaviour. They were used to a bubbly and friendly Aizel but were met with piercing black eyes.

"Oh, COME, ON!" A voice came over the crowd. "You people are ridiculous. I mean, what REALLY happened here? We just have to train hard and kick Karmin's snobby little butt. She thinks she can do whatever she wants? Well she is d*mn wrong!" a young man stood up. He had short brown hair that was spiked in the front, his turquoise eyes complimented the same color tie that he wore with his school uniform, a white dress shirt and black pants.

@bunnyshadow You can be evil if you want, just know you have restrictions. Oh, and just throwing it out there, any of you can die depending on your actions. If that happens, you may create a new character, however. And no, I'm not out to kill anyone specifically. xD
