have you ever felt a big one?
evolutary • 12 July 2011 at 12:34 AM
nope. never been in an earthquake before since my country is in the middle of a tectonic plate which is why not many earthquakes happen there.
biffy • 12 July 2011 at 12:39 AM
@evolutary jealous, im in new zealand and we're right on a fault line âšī¸awesome name by the way
evolutary • 12 July 2011 at 12:43 AM
@biffy thanks!đ yeah, I heard that people in New Zealand get SO many earthquakes. Have you ever been in one?
evilyowling • 12 July 2011 at 12:48 AM
Where I am Earthquakes like never happen. Only Tremors đ Since we are the neighbours of NZ.
trish • 12 July 2011 at 12:49 AM
I live in San Francisco, CA. In the U.S.A. We're right on the fault line too, and we have...quite a history with big Earthquakes.. And we're somewhat expecting the next big one in between 20 years.
taffy789 • 12 July 2011 at 12:51 AM
I live by the Gulf. No fault lines, only Floods, and Droughts. đ They rarely happen, Floods, but Droghts happen ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME. D:<

@evolutary, i live in Christchurch, earthquake capital of new zealand. so yes, i have, but the quakes have to be at lest a 4 before i notice and at lest 5 before i might actually think about getting under a door or table đ

@evilyowling haha, lucky aussies đ ... nevre thought i'd ever say that :L@trish they played some old footage for the big quake in San Francisco, on the news, after the 6.3, i think they were comparing damage haha đ
trish • 12 July 2011 at 12:57 AM
@biffy Yeah... XD Destroy, Build, and soon to destroy again. XD
biffy • 12 July 2011 at 12:58 AM
@evolutary but if thats true then most quakes dont make it to the news, but if they happen in unpopulated areas i guess not that many people would feel them.
evolutary • 12 July 2011 at 1:01 AM
@biffy yup. It's only in populated areas that earthquakes are recorded. Less than 2 earthquakes can't be felt so they happen all the time.
biffy • 12 July 2011 at 1:02 AM
@trish i think building standards are going up now, like way up đ but it was mostly liquefaction that munted houses@evolutary unlees you're standing on the epicenter, but that doesn't happen offen im guessing
