SUGGESTION: Adoption Center Widget

This may just be to make things a little more fun. Even if you disagree with me, please at least hear me out.

So, I thought that maybe when you go to the Adoption Center, there should be a little widget at the bottom with interactive creatures from Egg Cave. Of course, THESE creatures wouldn't be up for adoption, but just something to watch or interact with.

What you could do with the creatures would be:
-Pick them up
So, you could basically move your mouse over the creature you want to pick up, left-click, and you could pick it up and move it somewhere else in the little widget area.
-Pet them
Just move your mouse over them, and it will pet them. Some sort of reaction out of the creature.
-Feed them
You click a certain button to feed them.
-Water them
You click a certain button to water them.
-Bathe them
You click the button and it leads you to a different tab, where you have the options of shampooing, washing, etc.
-Play with them
You could press a certain button and play with the creatures, by throwing a ball or something.

I was thinking it could be an animation sort of thing, kind of like a webcam, only the creatures just move around the little scene/widget as they would normally do, unless you interact with them. Something fun to watch.

To help with confusion from newbies and stuff, you could put a notice above the widget saying something like: "NOTE: The creatures shown in the widget below are not up for adoption."

I do really enjoy the idea and think it's very original but im just worrying about how much work the Eggcave staff would have to do...

It's a really good idea though 😊

It's a little confusing, so I'm not sure I completely understand it, but it seems like something that would be more appropriate for a pet site. Egg Cave is an adoptable site. ;]

I cannot see EggCave making it, but maybe just adding a new image of it? Nothing in EC is interactive, since it's an adoptable site.

Although pet sites and adoptable sites do share some similarities, they also have some important aspects that separate them from each other. Adoptable sites, such as Egg Cave, revolve around obtaining creatures, objects, or something else depending on the site and allowing them to grow. On many sites, including this one, they grow through views, clicks and/or feeds.

Pet sites, on the other hand, involve not only raising creatures or another sort of pet but also allow the player to interact with their pet. This often involves feeding, bathing, playing, and other actions that you might do with a pet. They also may include animations such as being able to watch your pet play or eat. Unlike adoptable sites, pet sites do not revolve around obtaining creatures and letting them grow through views, clicks, feeds, or another method of leveling up the creature in some way.

I think it is a great idea! It isn't a very eggcave-y idea, but it might make things like it more common.

Love it. I think there should be a disable function so it doesn't make slow computers lag to much.
