Rae was quite small for her age. Normally, she'd be the size of a dog, but no, she was much smaller than that. The other Royals would comment on how small she was and needed to 'grow up'. Well, smallness helps with sneaking, they say. Rae didn't realise she was in the Starpaw territory. She didn't know much about them, other than that they were enemies. What did we do wrong for them to hate us? she thought quietly to herself. She never liked fights or wars. Why couldn't they just forgive us?

Akira gave up he waddled over outside the den.He eventually ended up in Starpaw territory he saw Rae They were about the same size so he went over to say hi.

@carnatate 'Hello, are you a Deathfang as well? I don't really know who to trust, but I'm Rae. Why do the Starpaws hate us so much anyway? The Royalty always tell me that I'm too young to know about this stuff, and I'd have to be older than usual because of my 'small size'.'

'You are royal as well? I haven't seen you though. The others do keep me away from other members because they say I'm small and vulnerable, but I hate being judged by my size. I guess it's not too bad is it? They're being too overly protective of me. I think we're in the Starpaw territory. We could get killed here.'

Kettu was lurking in the shadows watching them all, deathfang and starpaw alike. She crept out slowly. She saw a few of her kind, royals though. A pup or two were there as well. The starpaws were riled up she saw.' Serves them right 'she laughed to herself . She skunk slowly closer to the other deathfangs.. Cautiously for she was merely a commoner.

Rae turned to see who it was. It was an orange fox. 'You must be a Deathfang. Starpaws are so loud when they sneak. I hardly noticed you. Who are you? I am Rae.'

Kettu's ears went back. "Hello.I'm Kettu...what are you all doing out here?" she asked, still cautiously looking around. She hadn't wanted to bring any attention to herself, but she did. 'Oh well' she thought 'Might as well find out who they are'.

"I'm sorry to hear about your mama." she replied, ears coming forward in a show of sympathy. "And hey," She looked at Rae. "don't worry about your size, the smaller you are, the easier it is to sneak silently" she winked . She came out closer, the pale moonlight showing her badly torn ear. "Sometimes sneaking and being silent... Are the only chance you have."(YAY MY 200th POST!)

'Well, we can't hunt here can we? Not without getting caught. We'll have to go back into our own territory. I don't know the way back though. Does any of you know?' Rae's stomach growled as well. 'I'm hungry as well. Or, we could go back to the palace and get some food there. The Royalty does occasionally spoil us.'

"Starpaws." she growled. "I had a baby once...and he wandered into Starpaw territory. When I tried to save him..." She put her head down at the painful memory. " They made sure I would never forget what happens to deathfangs in Starpaw territory. They killed him, and forced me to live with the memory. " Kettu shook her head, trying to shake away the memory. "Just.. Don't get involved with Starpaws..I'll walk you two somewhere safer if you want"

'Starpaws are cruel. Life is cruel. So what? Memories are the past. If you keep reliving the memory, it never seems to end. Trying to forget memories doesn't work either.' Rae said calmly. 'Because eventually, you'll remember them again. Really, you have to accept life as it is, Kettu, cause things happen. There's nothing you can do about that. But I'm sorry about what happened to your son.'

Kettu got up and began walking into the shadows of the forest. "My memories are the only thing I have left. " and with that Kettu was gone. (sorry have to get offline âšī¸ see you all tomorrow!đ )
