@savy839: good night, sweet dreams 😊 My English teacher was insane too! But I kept a straight A regardless. I love English And writing essays cause I'm crazy too. I might have her next year again, with even HIGHER expectations cause it's AP not honors. I didn't question why it was easy before it left haha.

& LUCKY! I want to take Latin sooo bad. But I was stuck with Spanish for 3 semesters >.<

Oh wait, you're going to be a sophomore? O_o That's a lot. I'm going into 8th grade and I have to do a pre-Geometry packet and a grammar packet and I have to read a book. Not that bad, except the book I chose is boring and makes a lot of sexual references which are really gross.

@marybp You're in America? >.< I'm so jealous that you're in summer for one thing (it's winter here). I just started school again, and I was too lazy to do any work over the holidays...big mistake xD I think I'm already behind, on the 3rd day of school, so if you stay motivated, you'll have a stress-free time at school 😃 😃

...I should probably be doing work right now xP

Awwe. I never did any of those things and stuff. T_T Yea, my parents wouldnormally or even usually tell me about that.... but, I NEVER did. xD Lol. I spent everything off on the computer, reading; whatsoever. They don't really mind. 😃 They can't really force me into stuffs. 😊 Lol...

Why am I still procrastinating? ☹️ I have to fill out this big math workbook and finish a book and then write two essays for the book :/ it's easy, but I wish I could just enjoy my summer and not have to work! 😋

@marybp - I'm going into Senior year and took easy classes, so I don't have any summer work, but my Sophomore year I had to read Gods, Heroes, and Men of Ancient Greece and the Odyssey for an Honors Humanities class. I've never had as much summer homework as you (unless assigned by my parents 😋 ).

honestly I've never done assigned math homework over the summer, it's the one thing I just can't bring myself to do 😋 but I guess the ones I got were always kinda optional so I threw them out 😃. And I know the feeling, good luck!

@marybp - Yeah, it was long and I waited a week before school to start reading it. 100 pages a day. 😋 But I'm a really fast reader, so it only took about an hour and a half out of my time. And it was fresh in my mind when I started school. The second week of school, we were assigned an essay about it. XP

My parents always assigned me homework until my freshman year, because 1.) I'm TERRIBLE at math and 2.) They didn't want us (my sister and me) to get lazy over the summer. But now I write short stories (and my books) all summer, so they can't complain. 😋

oh that's smart to read it right before! I'm kinda afraid I'm going to forget some of the books, we have an essay on each the first week 😋
and wow! I don't think my parents would be able to convince me and my siblings to do any extra work haha. That's really cool that you write books!

@marybp - Thanks. 😊 I discovered I could actually write decent stories in 8th grade and I've now got 4 books in the works and a ton of short stories.

By the way, what year ARE you going into with that amount of summer work? 😋 Sounds like college to me.

whoa! I always wanted to write a book but I could never think of more than a few pages haha. I want to try writing a short story though 😃
And sophomore year, so glad I'm not a freshie anymore 😃
It's not too bad, 3 of the books only took about 2 hours to read, but the history stuff is annoying 😋

I've never read any of the books you described either. 😋 But yeah, that history stuff sounds annoying. XP My Honors Humanities teacher assigned notes every night that took me 3 hours and only SOMETIMES graded them. And every time I got a D or worse. :/
