Do wolves have to unsheath their claws and sheath them like cats... Or are their claws always out..?

Ria sniffed the air. "Um... Sirius? Shouldn't we go in the direction the bear came from?" She asked.

Cinder is sleeping by the lake, he slept through at this. XD
And wolves always have there claws out, they cannot sheath them.

Sirius stopped, "Yeah, probably." He said laughing, he then turned around and began to follow the bear's scent. "Thanks for reminding me."

Sirius smiled and continued to follow the bear's scent. "We'll follow the bear's scent until it starts getting dark, then if we haven't reached the end of the trail by then, we'll stop and hunt."

Sirius shrugged, "I really don't know, it might be though." He said, following her gaze as she looked up towards the sky. "What'cha thinking about?"

Ria nodded. "Yeah, bears are strong and can travel pretty far." Then Ria took a thoughtful breath. "I'm thinking of the time when Demine found me. A... a very clouded memory." She murmured.

Sirius nodded, "Oh..." He didn't know what to say more then that. He tried to find something else to say but he couldn't because he wasn't sure whether she'd want to talk about her life before she met Demine.

Ria looked at Sirius. "But you know what?" She said. "All that traveling was worth it. Demine had told me that my parents had abandoned me..." She trailed off. "But- if you think about it... If they hadn't done that, then I wouldn't have ever met Demine... and I wouldn't have met you." She smiled.

Sirius smiled, blushing faintly, "Yeah, so I guess it all kinda worked out in the end. Have you ever wondered why your parents abandoned you?" He asked her slowly, hoping that his question would make her upset or anything.

Sirius' eyes widened, "No! Ria, there is not a single thing wring with you, nothing at all." He said, looking at her in shock as she asked him. He stared at her, womdering how she could think such a thing.

Ria blinked in surprise. "Well, nobody's perfect." Ria pointed out. "And besides- them being parents all- they would have to have a good reason to abandon me... So there has to be something about me that bothered them more than anything.." She said, sniffing the air to keep on the bear's trail.

Sirius shrugged, "I guess, but maybe it had nothing to do with you. Maybe they just couldn't take care of you anymore, so they had to leave you. There are a ton of things that could have made them want to abandon you, it probably wasn't because there was something wrong with you."

"Hm..." Ria looked up at the sky thoughtfully. "Maybe, I'll never know." She said as a pain suddenly started enveloping her back. She smiled, wondering why Sirius thought that there was nothing wrong with her. "Why-" Ria looked at Sirius, "why do you say there's nothing wrong with me?" She chuckled. "You were acting as if I were perfect.

Sirius nodded and quickly staring at the ground, "Oh no certain reason. You're my friend and I don't want you to be sad. Nobody's perfect of course, but sometimes I think of others as perfect." He said shrugging, acting like it was no big deal. He was lying, but he was lying well.

Sirius cocked his head, and his eyes glanced at the wound he had recieved from the bear. The sting had gone down but the wound still hurt. "Trust me, I'm far from perfect, and you're a great hunter, too."

Ria followed his gaze to his wound that he received from the bear. She licked his wound. "We both need to go swimming to wash these wounds." She said. "Thank you."

Sirius nodded, "Good idea, I believe there is one up ahead." He then raced forward, running towards the sound of trickling water. He finally came across a small river and he quickly hopped in, sighing happily as the cool water ran across his wound.

Ria followed Sirius and jumped into the water as well. Her back felt instantly relieved. She chuckled. "We forgot to keep following the bear's trail." She pointed out, "but I guess my back was starting to hurt so much it was hard to focus.."

Sirius chuckled, "Yeah, but we'll keep following the trail in a few." He said, swimming around in the water. He smiled and then splashed water all over her.

Ria nodded, and then turned her head away, trying to have the water not hit her face. The water hit her face anyway. She laughed and splashed him to, sending droplets into the air and making it rain.

Sirius laughed as water droplets landed on him. He swiped more water into the air with his tail and he quickly got out of the way of the water. He felt like he was a pup again, playing in the water. He smiled at Ria as he watched the water rain down on her.

Ria smiled as the water droplets fell onto her pelt. The water made her pelt sparkle; making her fur look like glittering snow. She loved the water since it was so calming. She jumped, making a wave in the water.

Sirius smiled at Ria and tipped over as the wave came towards him. He disappeared under the water, but he didn't surface. He laid at the bottom of the river, totally motionless.

Ria gasped. "Sirius!" She screeched as she plunged into the water after him. She grabbed Sirius by the scruff and managed to pull him out of the water.
I... I was just messing around... Ria thought.

Sirius stayed motionless for several more seconds, not breathing. Then he slowly opened one eye and laughed, "Surprise!" He said, leaping to his feet quickly. He had been faking it the whole time. He shook his pelt, ridding it of any loose water.
