Sirius nodded, though he looked disappointed that Ria couldn't come with him. "Ok, I guess I should be off," he said curtly, and he then walked off in search of the bear's trail. He didn't want Ria to be in trouble with Demine but he wished that Ria could have continued on with him.

@hedwig68 Hey, do you want Demine to recognize Sirius from when he was a murderer? o3o I don't mind if he does or doesn't. ~

"Wait!" Ria said, running to him. She licked him on the cheek, and then ran off to her home. "Goodbye!" She called as she ran. She kept on running until she lost her breath. Ria was out of the Sirius' and Cinder's area. She called out for Demine until she heard him call back to her. "Demine!" She said as he stepped out of the trees to run to her.

"Ria!" Demine gasped in relief. He thought maybe he had lost her. "Ria! Where have you been?" He demanded. He knew she didn't want him to yell at her, but she had to deal with the consequences.

Ria rolled her eyes. "I was with Sirius." She explained.

Demine growled. "You should've been home! He could have done something to you! He could have hurt you, or-"

"Just relax." Ria interrupted. "I'm fine- he didn't do anything to me, and he WOULDN'T do anything to me." She said, her eyes were sparkling. She felt close to Sirius, and was tired of hearing Demine accuse him. "And would you stop screeching?" Ria put in. "The whole forest can hear you."

@froggytails He can find out that Sirius was a murderer.

Sirius smiled and continued walking, not knowing his far away the bear was. He hoped he wouldn't have to walk for much longer but he wasn't sure. He sighed, feeling lonely without anyone to talk to. He finally came to the end of the trail, though, but all he found was an abandoned bear cave. He took a sniff inside it and felt that the scent was soemhng he had smelled before.

Demine sighed. "Alright." He lowered his voice to the normal level. "Let's go home." He turned around and started leading the way back to their home.

Ria started following, but then perked her head up and turned it to look at the direction she came from.
Sirius... She thought. I don't want to go home... I want to keep adventuring with you...
"Hey- Demine? Can-can I go back to Sirius?" She asked.

Demine turned his head around to look at Ria. "No. You've spent enough time with him already. Let's go." He kept walking.

Ria sighed, clawed at the ground, and then ran up next to the black wolf.

Sirius walked into the ave and sniffed around, he didn't know why the scent was so familiar but it was. He looked around and said, "Wait, I know this scent." He said, it struck him like a lightening bolt. "I killed two of the bears that used to live here, that bear came to our home to get revenge." He exclaimed, "But how did it get through the barriers?" He wondered, but he didn't think he'd get his answer in this cave. Instead, he turned around and slowly headed back.

Ria and Demine walked through the forest. Ria listened to all the noises the forest had to offer, thinking of Sirius. "Why do you treat me as if I'm a baby?" She asked, breaking the silence.

Demine sighed. "Don't you remember?" He asked. When Ria shook her head he sighed. "Marrone... Marrone told me to always look after you for him.." He trailed off, not wanting to think about it. "He told me to not let anything happen to you."

Ria remembered Marrone. He was Demine's dead brother... "But-" she started, "I know Sirius now. This isn't like before. I'm... I'm more experienced now." She told him. "I remember the other foxes and wolves I had hung out with before- the ones that had betrayed us- their eyes and hearts were hollow. Nothing was there. But Sirius- Sirius is different. He has much in his heart. You must see that."

Demine looked at Ria, the Arctic fox that was like a daughter to him. She had grown into a wise, beautiful fox. He sighed. "Go."

Ria raised her ears, wondering if he heard him right.

"Go to him." Demine smiled at Ria.

Ria smiled back, licked his ear in thankfulness, and turned back around to Sirius's home.

Sirius walked on, thinking he wasn't far off from home now. He had run most of the way, eager to get home. He finally reached his home and he raced in, feeling right at home. He smiled and raced to the top of the hill, where the sun shined the brightest.

Be safe, he thought to himself. Don't worry about her- she'll be fine.

Ria ran to where she thought Sirius' home was.
I swear it was here... She thought. Then it came to her that Sirius needed to let her into her home for her to get in.
"Sirius!" Ria called.

Sirius heard someone yelling at the border. He trotted down from the hill and headed towards the border. He snuck a look from behind a tree and saw Ria. "Ria!" He said grinning, "Come on in!" He called, his tail wagging excitedly when he saw her.

Ria smiled at Sirius as all of a sudden the area appeared. She ran to Sirius, her tail wagging. "Sirius!" She said. "You won't believe it- Demine let me hang out with you longer!" Ria said joyfully.

Sirius grinned, "That's great!" He said excitedly, "What do you want to do then?" He asked, smiling at her. He was glad that Demine was allowing her to hang out with him, considering Demine thought that Sirius might try to hurt Ria, which wasn't true.

Lilac walked around the forest, humming a tune she remembered from her early years before her mother died. It came out into a song, "Pup's with milk to spare, plenty to share. Mother will always be at your side, mother will always protect you. Mothers heart only beats for you, just as the woodpecker pecks..." She sang, but the rest somehow evaded her mind like a ghost... "I never could remeber the rest..." She told herself and laughed a little. Her laugh seemed to remind her much of her mothers.

Moon smiled "Because you are, and also really... " She didnt speak her last words. Just because she liked to see him hang on her words.

Demine smiled at Moon. "Thank you." He said. "You are pretty amazing, you know."

"I thought we would follow the bear's trail," Ria started, "did you find where it ended?" She asked, smiling. She felt so happy. Ria couldn't explain it, but she knew that nothing could make her frown.

Sirius smiled, "Yeah, I found the end if the trail. It ended at an abandoned bear cave, it appears that the bear that attacked us was the same one who's mate and cub we killed a few months back. It came for revenge, but there were no signs of how it got into our home, though." He said, sighing, he noticed how happy Ria was and he smiled.

"Hm..." Ria said, looking up in thought. "It's strange... How bears can be just like us." She stated. "If someone were to kill someone I loved, I would come back for revenge. Maybe it was filled with rage and hatred that it was able to tear through the barrier?" Ria guessed, looking back at Sirius.

@froggytails I am probably the biggest Harry Porter fan of all time. XD I am obsessed with that series. 😸

Sirius nodded, "Yeah, it's hard to believe that other species think just like we do, even though they are so much different." He said, nodding his head in agreement. "I'm not sure, but tht might be the reason, how can we test that theory though?" Ge asked her curiously, wandering if she had a plan.

I can so see Sirius taking Ria on some sort of dangerous mission, and then having her get hurt. Demine would be so mad, he'd go all ninja on poor Sirius and then never let Ria see daylight again. XD

"Hm..." Ria looked around, as if the forest had the answer they were looking for. Then she thought of something. "Hey, what if we go back and get out of this area, and see what the forest looks like? Maybe you can't see the broken barrier inside... but maybe outside is different?"


OMG WE SHOULD SO DO THAT.
Ria would be all like: ;'( Ouch.
Sirius would be all like: D';
And Demine would be all: DDD:<

@froggytails It is, it is absolutely AMAZING. I've been hook on the series since third grade, I've seen all the movies, read all the books x4, been to the theme park, and everything. XD
Sirius: I'm never the one that plans, that was always Cinder's job.

Sirius nodded, "Maybe, we can at least try it. If that doesn't work then we'll just figure something else out." He said, he then headed towards the place where the bear had gotten through that. He walked out of his home and he turned towards the barrier, searching for something that showed signs that the barrier had been broken.

Yeah, Sirius would be hiding under a rock or up a tree, afraid of Demine's wrath. XD

Sirius could feel it too, he couldn't seem to place it though. "Something is wrong, but what?" He asked Ria, his gaze was still on the barrier as he tried to pick out any differences in it then usual.

Ria nodded in agreement. "Hm..." She said, getting an idea. "What if I walk through the barrier..?" She asked, more to herself than to Sirius. She walked to the barrier, and when she stepped through it, a terrible pang sore down her spine and through her whole body. She screeched in pain as she leaped back and fell to the ground. "W-w-what the crap?!" She cried.

Hehehoohehhe. Demine is terrifying, he has the ability to MENACINGLY poke someone..

Sirius' eyes widened and he rushed over, "Ria, I'm so sorry. O forgot to tell you that when someone that isn't me or Cinder tries to cross the border they get hurt." He said, feeling had that he had forgotten something so important. "Are you ok?" He asked, his eyes glimmering with concern for the hurt arctic fox.

REALLY?! Eep, Sirius better hide well then, before Demine menacingly pokes him! D:

Ria slowly stood up and looked into Sirius' eyes. She had amusement in her eyes as he was so concerned for her. "I'm fine." She said. "Just a bit scared. Although... That didn't feel normal... Wouldn't you just get hurt a little bit when you try to cross the barrier?" Ria asked. "And besides... I felt hatred and loss when I tried to cross it..." She shivered.

Lol, yup- 'cause you know how terrifying it is to get menacingly poked. x)

Sirius cocked his head, "Oh..." He stared at the barrier for a long time. "Well," he began, trying to change the subject, "I have another idea for how we can see where the barrier is broken, but it's dangerous." He said thoughtfully, glancing back at Zia as he spoke.

Sirius grinned, "Thanks." He said, feeling warm inside when Ria complimented him. He nodded, "If you travel about a half a mile into the woods I think there is a family of them living there. Let's go!" He said, taking off at a run towards where he knew the boars were.
