@jupiter_hollow

LoL XD I just don't have any idea what to do with Abaddon as the story progresses. I guess he could lose and become Emlyn's slave or something like that.

Vergil, now feeling his body was very much free to move and was not bound by the black mass, lifted himself up taking a good look at the crowd which surrounded them. It was eerie how the bunch of demons was now quiet and waiting for his next move, it seemed Vedel was doing so as well. The idea of willingly giving up the key crossed his mind but that would make all of their efforts worthless. He looked at Vedel, panic unmistakably recognizable in his eyes.
--
Abaddon seemed to have reached its maximum temperature. Its body didn't heat up any further no matter how unstable it became thanks to Emlyn's attacks. Now the crystal demon started acting in a similar way as it's opponent. It relied on strength, almost imitating the black creature.

@jupiter_hollow Gahhhh,why did you have to mention bad thoughts when im studying. You DO NOT want to know what some lesson titles remind me of now XD

Thankfully Vergil was able to clearly understand Vedel. He gave the dangerous auditory one more gaze to see where there were more weak demons and where he had the biggest chance to escape. Once this was calculated he headed staring towards an exit, only a few young creatures were in his path. The girl was pulled in this direction as well. Vergil was careful to move at a speed which allowed her to keep up.

Abaddon let out a slight roar before biting into the dark demons shoulder. Trying to break his arm off and use it as fuel for another powerful attack. Meanwhile it was pushing back showing a great amount of strength. Still it seemed not to be enough to counter Emlyn as Abaddon was still retreating backwards.

@onyx

Vedel trotted forward, slow at first since she was afraid Vergil couldn't stand big speeds for now, yet soon she found herself barely able to keep up with him. Forcing herself to run faster, she leveled with hima s they passed some weak creature along the way. She raised the pole above her head, bashing a blood red monkey-loking creature with it. Said creature roared with pain and fell down on the ground for her to jump over.

In mid-run, Vedel did the mistake of turning sideways only to meet a pair of yellow eyes trained onto her - Emlyn. Most of the demons had stopped fighting and were rather keen on chasing them, but Emlyn and Abaddon were still locked in mortal... immortal combat with each other. By the looks of things, they were equal.
---
"GAH!" Emlyn roared out, in a human way and drew back, trying to shake the demon's jaws off his shoulder. He hauled his hooves towards Abaddon's chest, pushing him again - this tactic showed most result so he hoped to push the demon on the ground. With the corner of his eyes, he detected the commotion around and looked up to see what was happening... Almost immediatelly, he spotted the stretching demon and girl making their way to the exit. He snarled viciously. Now he remembered - it wasn't Abaddon he'd intended to fight, it was them...

@jupiter_hollow

Although well concentrated on clearing a route to the exit, Vergil couldn't help but turn to Vedel from time to time. This was to secure she wasn't having difficulty following him.
The biggest problem the two now faced were not large monsters such as the two Vedel spotted but defensive types which could reach great speeds, also all creatures with wings and the ability to fly. A cluster of such demons chased after them reaching them slowly but surely.
Knowing that they would soon be caught Vergil considered other options of escape. Quickly he remembered the property of the small metal object which put them in this position. Perhaps he could succeed in using the keys power and exit the maze temporarily. Still,this was a big risk as he didn't know where it would take them and where would they be located upon returning.
-------
Abaddon as if unaware of the attacks it was suffering didn't even for a moment loosen its hold on Emlyn's shoulder. It had as all that surrounded it noticed the commotion but it didn't give it much attention. At this pint most of the space around it was engulfed in the hellish flame, including the black monster it was fighting.

@bunnyshadow

Not that much happened that affects your character.

Vedel and Vergil headed to the center of the maze for the head count just like Fang and Tabitha. They ran into Abaddon and found out they would get a chance at obtaining a key. They managed to go trough the count without anyone finding out Vedel is a human. There was some fighting and in the end they got the key. Now most of the demons in the maze are trying to steal it from them (and probably destroy them too). Also Abaddon and Emlyn started fighting while at the head count and they haven't finished yet.

Although having some troubles catching up with the fast stretching demon, Vedel hadn't fallen back too much and now travelled directly behind Vergil, thankfully being shielded from the vicious monsters ahead. As of now, she was forced to duck low, as to not be seen, hence her inhuman height. Due to her long limbs, one would think she could run faster than Vergil - she did have a good speed, but fact that Vergil was shorter and yet faster.

That aside, what bothered her most was their current route - they were heading at a randomly chosen direction and she worried what Vergil had planned (truth be told, it seemed like he didn't have a plan whatsoever). She turned to look back at the group of monsters on their tail.
--
Mirroring the demon's actions, emlyn didn't step back either, despite the agonizing pain Abaddon's flames caused. He pressed harder against the tiles of the demon's chest, hoping to break them, penetrate his weak spot somehow, but until now, he'd not succeeded. Black substance sipped through his lips, trickling down his chin and onto the other demon - it was probably the closest Emlyn had to blood.

Fang stepped in behind Vergil, as he had just seconds stepped through the maze wall. Before the girl could take another step, he grabbed her wrist and twisted it behind her back. He clamped his other hand onto Vedel's mouth, in an attempt to keep her from screaming, as well as possibly cut off her air to make her pass out as well. Once all that had been done, he unsolidified both himself and the girl, before pulling them both through the wall into the next hallway.

Engulfed in dashing through the maze of demons and tunnels, Vedel hadn't heard, much less seen Fang solidify through the wall behind her. Startled, she stumbled backwards as a hand pressed against her mouth sharply and another one twisted her arm back. The metallic pole tumbled to the ground with a loud clank, out of her grasp, so even if she tried to reach it, she couldn't.

In a moment, the tugging hands pulled her back and Vedel felt herself become trasnparent, although she didn't know how the feeling was possible. All view of Vergil's retreating back vanished as she phazed through the wall on her left, not yet knowing how she'd managed that. For a while, she stood unmoving, before remembering to fight the opposing force.

@jupiter_hollow What were you upset about earlier? :U

Fang looked around to see if any other person was around, and ther seemed to be none. He loosened his grip on Vedel, so that it was only enough to hold on to her. "If I let go, will you run?" he asked softly.

@onyx @bunnyshadow Nothing XD It was silly, don't mind me =3

Vedel recognised the voice quickly, since it was hard to mistake the naturalally given rough tone that Fang possessed, even when he talked softly. It was a hardy situation that she found herself in, taken she was aware of the vampiric demon's history and kills. It took her some time to finally get her mind to start working, but she knew already that a positive response of his question would either get her killed or discourage Fang to releace her.

So, eventually, she began shaking her head furiously, a clear negative answer.

Once released, Vedel's arms dropped to her side and for a short while, she remained motionless, as if to check that Fang didn't do any further ministrations. She spun around afterwards, facing the demon fully with a blank face and an inward frown. The entire while she'd wondered if he had come to thank her for earlier or punish her for humiliating him. However, if the second was the case, then he would've kidnapped Vergil as well...

Vergil!

The boy flashed through her mind in an instant and she looked back at the wall they'd phazed through. He'd been left to fend for himself with all the demons...

After short silence, Fang gave Vergil as much of a smile as he could, though it looked more like an snarl. The demon pulled out a bouquet of black roses tied with a blood-red ribbon from under his coat. He held it out towards the girl. "My thanks." he said.

BLABA!

The only reaction she could muster was a confused blink and a cock of her head. It took her a while to process everything at first. Looking closely at the twisted snarl Fang had, she soon reocognised it to be a failed attempt of a smile. And the roses in her face - was this a kind of thanking for being saved...?

Even then, Vedel didn't know what to do. Having never been presented with something so sentimental as flowers, she only awkwardly outstretched a hand to brush against a black petal of one rose. It was velvety against her fingers. The foreign sensation was raather nice and soon the ends of her lips curved up in a slight makeshift smile.

Amber eyes met bright red ones and she nodded faintly, as a thanks, and took the flowers.

Fang's face returned to a bland stare the second that Vedel took the flowers from him. "I heard you and that sorry excuse for a demon have the key." He tiled his head to the side, staring into the girl's face.

The previous misgivings over Fang's intention now returned as the vampiric demon, as accuratelly as Vedel could put it, melted away to blankness again, his expression back in it's more natural, but yet still unusual blank stare. One would think a glare or demonic grin would suit him better.
Her attention was arrested by his outward bluntness, goals obvious, intentions clear, claws unsheathed (theoritically said). She shook her head at his question, not forgetting, but simply refusing to acknowledge that the crowd on hers and Vergil's heels previously was more than obvious and eye-catching. It was in her nature to avoid, to run and hide and try to escape but not always did she succeed.
Needless to say, her experience wasn't much, neither was her strenght and considering the lack of ability, she was helpless and harlmess. However, her knowledge was enough to lead her to the ultimate conclusion - brawl or speed was pointless while facing a demon of Fang's rank. This left brains... so, lie and hope he wouldn't notice were the only options...

Although Vergil was very distraught by the current situation and the many demons which were reaching closer to him, he immediately noticed Vedel disappear from behind him. He was alarmed and now already prepared to launch a mindless attack at an unknown enemy. The fact of how helpless and useless he was in the moment was slowly making him angry. As he turned he was able to see how much trouble he truly had gotten into, the horde of demons chasing after him was frightening. Still he didn't care that much about them.Now his eyes were searching for the girl and he refused to move until all of this became more clear to him.
A few of the many monsters had already reached him but he only pushed them away and dodged their attacks. As much as he looked for Vedel she was nowhere in sight and he realized that although that seemed a bit impossible she was gone, or better said, she had somehow vanished.
Vergil was too deep in thought to notice how many of the demons were now surrounding him. Slowly they overpowered him but he continued to stubbornly hold onto the key.
