@cynt5100Yeah- everyone keeps telling me to stay calm- but I just run lol. And I'm actually getting better with it- I will just close my eyes and stop moving and stay calm and it'll fly away. I just- hate the pain of getting stung. *shivers*

Let me try to find some of my fears:Globophobia- Fear of balloons. (this is my most severe phobia. I can't be in the same BUILDING with balloons, they horrify me. âšī¸)Apiphobia- Fear of bees. (I just start flailing around if a bee comes near me)Acrophobia- Fear of heights. (not too severe, but if I'm really high up on a game, I start to get all tingly)Venephobia- Fear of veins (I can't look atthe veins on my wrists without imagining them opening and bleeding everywhere)A few years ago, I was watching some documentary about a family who was murdered in their sleep... Every once and a while I start to get afraid that there might be someone in my room trying to kill me in my sleep...Whenever I get disgusted or scared by something, I start to pinch the front of my neck, because I feel like my throat is going to snap right open or something...

@dreamerya last time i was watching a professionsl at snakes and got bitten by a poisonous one and THAT freaked me out.I thought i was going to get bitten too.#scary#phobia
cat • 23 August 2012 at 9:40 PM
@dreamer I have globophobia too! It isn't terrible, but I try my best to stay away from them. I hate it when they pop ._.Maybe because when my brother was a kid he had a b-day party balloon fight were you would take balloons and smush them into people until they pop.It was so scary!
tralala44 • 23 August 2012 at 9:49 PM
@catit is a little sudden when that happens
dreamer • 23 August 2012 at 11:18 PM
@Cat The only types of balloons I can stand are the metallic ones, bcause it's impossible to blow them up too much. But people are so idiotic with normal, rubber ballons. It's just a thin layer of rubber and tons of pressure.I was trying not to tell anyone about my globophobia, because it's humiliating. But in science in sixth grade, we were doing balloon cars, and I couldn't stand being in the same room with the balloons. All the boys just laughed about it... "She's afraid of ballons? Ha! *proceeds to blow up another balloon." Yeah well SHE has a name, and I'm sure you're afraid of something too. Sheesh. >:/I get reduced to a pool of TEARS when I'm in the room when a balloon pops. One kid had a bunch of balloons on his locker for his birthday, and his locker was close to mine. I couldn't go near my locker until everyon left, and then SOMEONE started to spread around that I was afraid. Never trust people with "secrets". Ever.
cynder5 • 23 August 2012 at 11:30 PM
@dreamer i have hippopottamoustiosquipidalleyophobiathe fear of long words *shivers*
dreamer • 23 August 2012 at 11:32 PM
@Cynder5 I find it so ironic that the name for the fear of long words is so long... XDI don't have a problem with long words... But they're pretty overwhelming. O_oI'm not afraid of blood. I'm perfectly fine with seeing tons of blood in shows and games... But I'm afraid of needles, and knives, and getting older, and dying... Every day you're just getting closer to death. Ehh... I guess I'm a "glass half empty" person. I don't mean to creep anyone out, though. XD
cat • 23 August 2012 at 11:34 PM
@dreamer I don't have a huge problem with them.I'm a teensy bit scared of ghosts and the dark.
dreamer • 23 August 2012 at 11:35 PM
@Cat I've just had bad experiences with balloons; but I'm a wimp, so, you know, that's me XDI kinda like the creepy stuff though... I'm not afraid of the dark, or of blood, or of monsters, or anything. I'm more scared of average things...
cynder5 • 23 August 2012 at 11:40 PM
@dreameryeah and I haveAcarophobia - Fear of itching or of the insects that cause itching.Achluophobia - Fear of darkness.Altophobia - Fear of heights.Automatonophobia - Fear of ventriloquist's dummies, animatronic creatures, wax statues-anything that falsely represents a sentient being.Athazagoraphobia - Fear of being forgotten or ignored or forgetting.Claustropohbia- Fear of small spaces
cat • 23 August 2012 at 11:42 PM
@dreamer I'm only freaked out if it is after I've read about the Slenderman, watched a scary movie, or am alone at night.
karamel • 24 August 2012 at 6:28 AM
PLEASE PEOPLE.PHOBIAS AND FEARS ARE DIFFERENT THINGS.I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. @_@"On that positive note, I'll end it with my list of phobias:- Papershredderaphobia/sicoshredophobia (phobia of paper shredders. I was clearing the house and I had to shred personal information, and my finger almost got caught in the shredder. Blah blah blah, then a piece of paper saved it â¤ī¸)- Arachnophobia.- Acarophobia.- Entomophobia.- Insectophobia.- Katsaridaphobia.- Nosophobia/Nosemaphobia.- Misophobia/Mysophobia.Look here for a list (even though it defines a phobia as a fear >.>" ): http://phobialist.com/

@dreamI have glossophobia.. >.<And mild aphenphosmphobia..
dandiestlion • 26 August 2012 at 5:57 PM
I have people-touching-me-aphobia, stranger-danger-phobia and social anxiety đ Oh, and not to mention I am kind of scared to sleep & dream because I have really vivid nightmares... that leads to insomnia, fo sho. I'm afraid of the dark because of things that happened to me as a kid, too. And... I am approaching 30 yrs old. (in 3.5 yrs)
piucca • 26 August 2012 at 6:02 PM
@dreamerI have a slight Mottephobia because I had a very large moth fly into my ear and got stuck, then I had to goto the hospital to get it removed.when I see a moth I simply place my hands over my ears. Other then that I do not fear anything any more.
schusteralex2 • 26 August 2012 at 6:21 PM
The only phobia I have is stingrays, I got stung earlier this summer and now it takes all my willpower to put my feet down.
Deleted • 26 August 2012 at 8:57 PM
@dandiestlion i have insomnia too but i'm almost over it đ
zafeyry • 26 August 2012 at 9:04 PM
"If your fear of heights stops you going above the third floor then this is a phobia. The fear is unneeded, unhelpful, and disabling to your life."That being said, I don't really have any phobias xD
dandiestlion • 27 August 2012 at 6:52 AM
@izzfred I would love above all else to say the same. As it is, I've suffered from insomnia since I was 8 yrs old.
dreamer • 27 August 2012 at 2:47 PM
@Karamel Is a fear more like a worry, and a phobia is just a complete panic over something? Because in that case, all I'd have is globophobia... Severe globophobia. ._.@Everyone Seriously, how do you people look at balloons? I see nothing except EVIL, I just don't understand how people could NOT be afraid of balloons... They're so loud... And I'm afraid of loud noises too. Just... What are balloons, in your eyes?
karamel • 27 August 2012 at 2:49 PM
@dreamer I think so, but I'll double check for you đEDIT: Yep. Phobias are more irrational AND extreme fears, whereas fears are just things you're merely scared of. đWait... in that case I don't have any phobias >.>"About balloons... I'm only scared if they pop >< And you never know when someone might think it's fun to pop them, so I'm probably scared of balloons, but not extremely.Oh, and I'm scared of making phone calls... it's okay if someone else calls me, but I'm scared that I'll disturb them (not in a wrong way) or something ._. It's not a phobia for me.
Deleted • 27 August 2012 at 2:52 PM
@dandiestlion me too!!but i'm nine now and almost over it i take a medication that seems to help meletonin or something like that...it tastes like mints EEEEWWW.....i'm not a mint person
dreamer • 27 August 2012 at 3:02 PM
@KaramelEvery time I see a balloon... My eyes widen up, I start to crouch down a little bit. I squeeze my hands against my ears and have a little stare-down with the balloon... It's really easy to laugh at me because of my globophobia (which is understandable), but I can't help it... Every bad/uncomfortable situation in my life includes the popping of a balloon/multiple balloons. The most comfortable I've ever been near balloons was when I was 7, and I had some friends over, and we had a water balloon fight. I filled up all the balloons with water. A few popped in my hands, which scared me for a second, but I didn't run away. But my fear progressed into a phobia, because it was painful when the water balloons hit me during the fight and I could FEEL them snapping on my skin. It's just so... Creepy. @_@A balloon will be sitting undisturbed in a room; But I just get a really uneasy feeling, my ears start to tingle, and sometimes that factor alone will even make me cry. I sob "that thing is going to pop..." And everyone is like: "Danielle, no one's touching the balloon, it won't pop."IT WILL POP. IT WILL. IT HAS, AND IT WILL. SHEESH... I have issues >.<But on another note; I'm afraid of making phone calls too. I can recieve calls, but I hate talking to people on the phone, unless it's my sister or my parents. I feel like I'm disturbing them, or wasting their time. And I sound so strange on the phone...
karamel • 27 August 2012 at 3:05 PM
@dreamer Then it's not really a phobia, I guess that's a fear because it's rational đ I'm like that too. Especially in parties. EVERYONE HAS A BALLOON AND THEY'RE RUBBING IT BETWEEN THEIR PALMS AND MAKING THAT SQUEAKY SOUND AND I'M LIKE, "YOU'RE GOING TO POP IT ASDFGHJKL; ;A;"OMG. SAME. HERE. *high-fives*
