It come out on the 23/08/12

I am going to get it in silver my fave color.

I am going to trade in my old one.

I am one day ahead of egg cave.

Not a personal fan of XL, any of them.
1. I know the screen is bigger, but can you fit it into a pocket..
2. A little harder to control while holding in your hands

@poppiloveslabs, I purchased my Blue 3DS XL just a while earlier and it is currently being charged all the way before I mess around with it.

@newlife, It will be more of a tight fit, I'm sure, though I'm not too keen on carrying handhelds in my pocket in fear of damaging them somehow. I prefer sticking them in some kind of bag or backpack. I find the 3DS XL quite comfortable when being held, but that is probably since I have larger hands.

Overall, I'm pretty excited with my purchase. I can see why some people are not too thrilled about it, though. One thing that Nintendo should have done with this version was to add a second analog stick.

I have really small hands, and I move them pretty fast while playing games, so I'm always afraid of making it flip (it's happened with my DS)

And I agree, why not add something else to it, since it's so.. well big. o3o

@caring, A pink 3DS, eh? It's a pretty snazzy color, I agree.

The screen size is crazy on the 3DS XL. So much larger than the original, but great for me since I'm practically blind anyway. 😋
I need to buy screen protectors and a case at some point.

Wouldn't adding another analog stick make it a whole new thing? Like, would that mean they'd have to make games exclusive for that one and everything?
Because I only just bought my beautiful NORMAL 3ds in April.... I haven't even got to use it yet! XD Anyway, it's super annoying when they do that, so I'm hoping it won't be for a while... The games cost enough >.>
Anyway, the one analog stick will be pretty interesting to use, huh. Used to it on playstation, but still O_O

Personally, I like to stick to the originals. Probably after seeing the DS lite. I got the original, of course, and like a month later that one comes out X3 And I was SO glad I didn't get that one, because my friend got one, and I hated using it XD Much less comfortable. Glossy cover? Seriously annoying. And the GBA slot? *shivers* Yup, so glad I got the first one X3
Well, that's what I thought X3 I mean, sure some people like it better? *shrug*

hahah I only have the DS lite, but its good enough for me ^^ I've had it for almost 6 years now & its been left out in the rain & soaked in water & dropped and stepped on & it still works!!!

@asi, Adding another analog stick wouldn't make it a whole new thing, really, nor would there be exclusive games. There is already a peripheral that you can attach to a regular 3DS which adds a second stick to it. It is compatible with a couple games already. The 3DS XL has enough space on the left side to warrant a second analog stick, which kinda bugs me a bit.

It costs $19.95, which isn't too bad I suppose. But they are going to release one for the 3DS XL as well, making it even larger than it already is. Kinda crazy.

Wow, I really need to keep up on my Nintendo news... I didn't even know about the 3DS XL! 😋 But I guess that's what I get for being poor though. No money to spend on new shinies.

I'm hoping to eventually save up enough for a normal 3DS and the new Kingdom Hearts game, 'cause I'm a crazy KH fan...

Good thing I've got my faithful black DS Lite and limited edition GBA SP to keep me company until then~ ^^

I want to try to get a 3ds but I'm not sure if I would be able to play my old games on it

I mainly only want a 3DS to get Pokemon Conquest and Project Mirai 😃 😃 😃

@mastergemma You can most certainly play both DS and DSi games on the 3DS. Pokemon Conquest was released as a DS game and isn't 3DS exclusive, though. There also doesn't seem to be an international release planned for Project Mirai which means that only a Japanese 3DS is able to play it.

I have a 3DS, It's Cosmo Black but on the top of it is the Legend of Zelda Bird thingy marking in GOLD 😃. I LOVE my 3DS, One time I dropped it in between my bed and desk and didn't know, So I thought I had lost it then my dad came and got it.

I'm VERY yappy on this post, eh..? O.o
