CC purchasing through Itunes store

So, I was thinking that more people here have iTunes accounts than PayPal or credit cards, so maybe @Ian coud create an app that allows you to buy CC as an In-app purchase :/ I'm pretty sure this is possible, it would allow more people to get CC, making it easier for players and generate more money?

@schusteralex2 I don't know about this. :/ I'm pretty sure Itunes takes a portion of the sale, so, that might mean that you'd have to pay extra for CC. Also, maybe it's just me, but I thought Itunes was for selling music, not virtual items.

@darthvader I think iTunes takes a portion, but I also think PayPal does as well :/ And apple does everything 😋

Yes, Paypal has transaction fees which keep 'em afloat. The site charges a base fee of $0.30 per purchase, along with 2.9% of the charge. So say you spend $5 on CC. Paypal will be keeping $0.45 and the rest will go to Egg Cave.

Also, I wasn't aware you could sell virtual goods like CaveCash through iTunes.

@Meteoroid I was thinking that Ian could create an app only used for purchasing CC, and you can purchase, say, a code which could only be used once which you enter into eggcave to obtain CC.

You can buy everything on iTunes, not just music or movies. haha

It would be a great idea, just would probably need to be made so that both Ian can make a profit and so that users aren't getting ripped off.

Alternative ways to purchase CC is definitely something to look into, though.
