Hey, name's Erin and I'm new to EggCave.
I found out about this site on thedailyneopets.com which implies that I play Neopets, and I infact do. I love that site, but it's fun to come to spin off sites like this to see what they have to offer. So far, I really like this site as well. (:

Don't forget the @ sign in front of usernames, so the user gets a ping (like you did!) Example: @luv . Now I got a notification saying 'luv pinged you on ______" This way, users know when you've read and replied to there stuff!

Here's some Egg Cave lingo you might find around:

FAQ = Frequently Asked Questions
EC = Egg Coins, the main currency of Egg Cave
Alternate meaning: Egg Cave
CC = Cave cash, the other currency of Egg Cave more purchase at the cash shop park
UFT = Up For Trade, a creature people are willing to trade
NFT/NUFT= Not For Trade/Never Up For Trade, a creature who the owner is not trading
UFA = Up For Adoption, which means offer anything.
It could also mean: Up For Auction, which means bidding and will normally be specified. UFS -Up for Sale- is my preferred term.
TNT = Transfer Not Trade, sending a creature to a side account (which you can have three of. )
CSP = Cash Shop Park or Cash Shop Pet.
CS Pet/ CC Pet= Any pet that had to be bought from the Cash Shop park
TA = Travel Agency, where you get backgrounds for your creatures
TC = Trade Center, where you trade for new creatures
AC = Adoption Center, where you can adopt new creatures

Three quick questions..

1. Can your pets ACTUALLY die if they are not fed? Like on Neopets they never actually die they just can't battle and their mood is bad.

2. Is there a limit on how many pets you can have?

3. How do you determine the weight rarity?
Is it the lower the number the more rare or the higher the number?

1: Yes, they can. If they have 0 happiness for a few days, they will die. You feed them for them to increase their happiness. Also, they lose a few points of happiness every hour 😉

2: 300 in each cove. You can have ONE main account and THREE storage accounts. Storage accounts are ONLY for that (with a few exceptions, like adoption centers): STORAGE. Read the Terms of Service about multiple accounts 😉

3: The weighted rarity can be found on the creature's page in the Archive (for example, an Alkub: http://eggcave.com/archives/view/7). The lower the weighted rarity, the rarer it is (because there are less in existence) 😊

For example, the Alkub is a common cave creature, so its Weighted Rarity is 151. However, the Macbot is not available in the Cave anymore, and there are barely any in existence, so its Weighted Rarity is 3 (http://eggcave.com/archives/view/64).

@linkasaurusrex i am now part of the Eggacve welcome team with @luv and @karamel.The archives is where you can see all of eggcaves creatures and learn more about them.Rare creatures you're more likley to find in Cash Shop Park then in the cave.You would have to trade a good amount of EC or CC and a good creature to get a rare one.A creatures rarity explains how rare/endangered/how much of a creature is left.At the trade center you can trade your creatures for other users creatures.You can search for trades by a certain speicies you want or by user to view a certain user's open trades.I hope this helped! Enjoy your time on eggcave!
