2012 tv show renewals/cancellations

Every once and a while, I love going online and looking for lists of shows that got renewed for more seasons, and shows that got cancelled. It surprises me which stupid shows manage to hang on, and it surprises me which ones get cancelled.

Are you guys happy/sad about any of the shows you watch? For the most part, all of the shows I watch are new, and they've all been renewed. 8D I watch a lot of shows with my mom, when my dad isn't home, because he wouldn't like most of the shows we watch. 😋

On another note: I will also sound childish when I say that my sister watches tv a lot, and I'll stick around when she's watching Nickelodeon. But I'm SO ticked off with all the cancellations Nick has made this year! >.< The only things they'll have left on there next year are all of the stupid cartoons! RAWRRRRR.


What shows do you guys watch on tv? Which of your shows were renewed or cancelled? I love reading lists. 8D

@dreamer I gave up hope in nick.

Icarly was my fav show for a while... But then it got sucky. And Victorious just seemed like another icarly.

MTV is good. They cancel stuff all the time but hey, it makes you appreciate it more.

I like Dexter (they are ending that), Korra (❤️ more than life), Awkward, Adventure Time, and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

I LOVE the show Secret Circle, but it got cancelled and now I'm crushed ☹️

I also like Greys Anatomy, Private Practise & Vampire Diaries.
But I'm pretty sure they're all still going on! Thankfully! 😊

I miss Samurai Jack, though that show was cancelled in 2004.
Forever stuck in the future, he is (unless they ever release the movie to conclude the series...)

Im 12, and hate all those stupid shows that arent cartoons but on cartoon channels, Icarly, Victorious and all that crap belongs on teen nick, Nick is for cartoons... AND IM SO SAD THEY CANCELLED FLAPJACK AND CHOWDER AND SMFA ON CARTOON NETWORK ><

But I watch a bit of everything, My favs are Planet Sheen, Korra, Regular Show, South Park, Tosh.0...

I'm happy that The Walking Dead starts up for its third season in October as well. It receives enough ratings to warrant another season, but I always get nervous about it for one reason or another. If the Prison Arc is anywhere close to that of the comic, we'll be in for a wild ride.

@Balletninja Nick really sucks nowadays, along with the other kid's channels. THey've FINALLY decided to cancel iCarly (it's about time, though it was funny in the beginning), How to Rock (nothing special, I expected this, and I don't watch this one anyway), and Victorious (I'm actually pretty upset about this cancellation ☹️).


My dad HATEs MTV (you know, the whole over-protective thing), BUT, we watch Teen wolf. ^^ The season just ended a few weeks ago.

My dad and my sister watch Alphas, but it doesn't particularly interest me.

My entire family watches "Modern Family," "The Middle," and "Once Upon a Time." The seasons ended and they're coming back soon.

I watch two shows with my mom: "New Girl," and "Suburgatory". They're funny shows, but in a way that little kids wouldn't understand. These shows are being renewed as well. ^^ My mom watches Grey's Anatomy, once and a while I'll watch it with her. My mom also watched "SDesperate Housewives" (which ended), and "Cougar Town." Every once and a while I'd watch those with her as well. I'm weird. XD

Even though I watch a lot of shows, altogether I don't watch a ton of tv.

@Stellie But they're ending all of them, so you can be happy! XD

@Meteoroid Walking Dead? I've seen one or two episodes wof that show before. I'm not particularly interested though, because zombies (I believe they're called walkers in that show?) are annoying. >.<

I don't like the ghost/paranoral shows, but they can be pretty cool sometimes. The shows about bigfoot and aliens annoy me so much. THEY'RE NOT GOING TO FIND THEM, WHY DO THEY KEEP TRYING?!

@dreamer My uncles went bigfoot hunting. It was pretty hilarious.

I think they air it because it is funny to see a bunch of totally believing people making chewbaca noises and freaking out due to a chipmunk crossing the road and making noises. And alien is the same concept.

I am into science channel alien stuff, where it like goes over how they are looking for planets that could sustain life or they hypothesize what aliens would look like and live.

@Balletninja Now that you mention it... That would make a lot of sense. XD I mean, I shouldn't be judging (since I still have my fingers crossed that people discover werewolves someday), but I always hear bigfoot this, bigfoot that. My dad records a ton of shows about aliens/paranormal things. Whenever he wants to kick me out of the living room he just puts one of those shows on and I run upstairs. XD

Personally, planets and outer space bore me. I can see why it would be interesting to people, though. It would be cool to find new lifeforms on a distant planet! There's no way to be sure if that's possible or not.

@Ems Yup. 😃 I've never seen the first few episodes, but after I heard about the Red Riding Hood episode (which I thought was pretty awesome), I started getting into the show. Did you see the finale? TOTAL CLIFFHANGER, now everyone knows who they are in the fantasy world. Like, how the heck are you gonna make another season out of that? They have to find a way, though. 😸

@Ems What about Henry? o.o He wasn't born in the magic world, so what is HE gonna do? Regina confuses me. She's such a snitch, but she seems to love Henry as well... Like, lady, you can't have both!

At the end of the episode; What was that huge dark cloud? That was the magic, right? I just need to confirm it. 😋 I hate Rumpelstiltsken. But I felt kinda bad for him in the Beauty and the Beast episode... And then the episode with his son... Et catera.

Regina has shattered so many lives, she's gotta pay the price one of these days. >.< But now she's the queen, and she has all her powers, so what are they going to do?
