I used my magic to bring up a map. "Yes." I began to trot down towards Ponyville, checking back every so often to make sure Shadow was coming.

Shadow decided to practice flying, so she flew low to the ground, keeping an easy pace with Painting Scars.

As the filly flew alongside me, I tried to help her. Threw out some helpful tips, picking her up when she started to fall. "Your a great flyer, Shadow. The best I've seen. Besides me of course." I joke.

"Well, I've had to be persistant." Shadow shrugged. "That's how this adventure works. I've had to be persistant to do everything I've done so far. It wasn't really an option. The things I had to do, well, they required nothing but persistance. I had to be patient. I had to try, and not stop trying until I finished. But it's not over yet." Shadow sighed.

Shadow let out a small whimper, waiting. Always waiting. For everything to be ok.

I felt the sadness flowing from the filly. I heard the slight whimper, and frowned. "Don't worry, Shadow." I pet her head, and brought her down to my face. "It'll be ok." I lock eyes with her. "If you need anypony, I will be here for you." I pet her again, and set her on my back.

I walked for at least another hour or so, and saw Ponyville. I walked into Ponyville, and everyone shut their doors and windows at the sight of me. "Shadow," I say gently, "we are here."

"Ok." Shadow said with a sudden brightness, leaping off of Painting Scars' back. But everypony wasw shutting their doors and windows. "Don't mind them." Shadow said off-handedly, "They're just kinda scared. Plus, we're not here for them. Com'on, we'll get where we're goin' faster if we run." Shadow began cantering through Ponyville, towards the Everfree Forest.
