My Creature, Rudeness, is at the beginning of my Cove, and his first letter is R. 😱 I don't know if this is just my computer, or if other people have experienced or seen it too... I haven't done anything with him, other than trading him to another use for a name change.

Here's an example if you can't see it in my Cove:

Oopsies, look at my tabs. x)

Help?

@twilight_raptor I'f you're thinking this. No, there's no space in front of the name. X_X

@goku Was so curious 😱

@spirithawk May be the user who changed the name put it in (accidentally?) but it doesn't show in the name itself (like in my cove right now) 😱

@spirithawk Its not a bug, the creature just has a space at the beginning of its name.

Edit: Its probably something that we should stop from happening because every time someone notices it it causes confusion.

@cat That is the entire purpose of creature lists, y'know.

Deleted • 17 September 2012 at 11:59 PM

@Meteoroid well, its good to have a cove with creatures of the same name XD
@goku looks like the whole secret and been spread x-x

@julie We would rather have the secret spread than any anomalies or bugs being kept away for any potential selfish gain.

@Meteoroid I know, but people don't always look at the cove lists button D:

@Meteoroid
"When a secret is spread, it no longer remains a secret"
Now maybe some people would name their whole cove with one name? It was better to let it remain, but there are many more secrets to be revealed, they are just hidden though ^^ a question- it may be off-topic, but do you know how many eyleymo eggs are there in the whole egg cave?

@julie I would not have access to that information. It is extremely unwise to retain any information or "secrets" about Egg Cave that admins/moderators may be completely unaware about, though. Even if it's not game breaking in the slightest, it is still something that should be reported to the staff so we can help maintain the site better and improve it.

@Meteoroid
So does it mean that it was a bug? Was it fixed?

@julie It hasn't been fixed yet, but I would hold off on doing it. I personally classify it as a bug because what is the point of creature names being taken if you could simply add spaces for an infinite cove of same-named creatures?

It also makes it confusing for other members of the community.

Deleted • 18 September 2012 at 12:47 AM

@Meteoroid
also, it can cause problems when searching xD If 100 similar results show up

@julie Precisely. Not a very helpful thing at all.

Deleted • 18 September 2012 at 6:57 AM

@meteoroid But there are people who only use it for fun, not to give their entire cove the same name D: I have three Creatures named their name with a space in front of it. Why? I want to have them at the beginning of my cove, without having to give them other names. What's wrong with that?

@essieh Even if it is for fun, it is still utilizing a bug/glitch without hearing the official word of an admin.

Deleted • 18 September 2012 at 3:40 PM

@meteoroid If it gets fixed, will all Creatures that are at the place of A Ill say, go back to the place where they belong in alphabetical lists?

Because I really like some of my Creatures and want them at the beginning of my cove because nobody clicks lists (almost nobody), but I want them to keep their names. But if I do that without space in front of it, they wont go up. And thats what makes me, well not sad, but it isnt nice. xD I know its considered as bug/glitch, but still.

@essieh Perhaps people should actually start using Cove Lists, then. Ian put quite some work into that feature. It performs the same exact purpose in a glitch-free fashion. If the "space in front of the name" thing was fixed, I am unaware of what would happen to the creatures before the patch.

Deleted • 18 September 2012 at 3:49 PM

@meteoroid Well, I do use cove lists. At the moment not, because all my Creatures I want to put in a list are at @yin, just like the "spacebar-named" Creatures are.

But I realized no one clicks them. I made UFT lists, NFT lists, put on my profile with caps that people must look at my lists first before asking for UFT stuff, and still they asked for Creatures that clearly were in the NFT one.

I mean, I love it we can do lists, but what if nobody takes attempt to just click one time to see it?

@essieh Perhaps there could be an option to have a certain cove list be the default instead of the alphabetical one. Regardless if people use them or not, it is still an available feature to use that doesn't involve exploitations.
