Hey there other Homestucks 😸 I want some outside-opinion(s) if you don't mind. I'm going to Nashicon 2013 and for one of the days of the con I'm cosplaying Nepeta, for the other i cant decide. Everyone who I ask always tells me just to cosplay who I want but I really like all Characters of Homestuck and it was pretty hard to narrow it down as far as I have, so...

If I were you, I'd choose the one that looks and acts the most like me, so my cosplay is more likely to be better. Otherwise, I'd go with Sollux; I like Dave more, but Sollux seems fun to cosplay as. Plus, it's fun to speak with a lii2p. xD Karkat is awesome too, but I couldn't imagine cosplaying as him. Of course, that's just me. 😋

I'm glad you posted, since this topic has been dead. D: But I hope this was of some sort of help to you! I'm thinking of doing another cosplay myself.

Thanks a lot! I like hearing different people's opinions, or any opinion at all really 😸

I've actually never cosplayed or been to any convention before, so Im kinda nervous. But I love seeing Cosplay and Ask/monologue panels and it all just looks really fun and I want to be a part of it 😊 Also, My sister and two of her friends will be cosplaying with me at Nashicon.

After/closer to the con I'll post the results of who I'm cosplaying as 😃

I like Homestuck, but I'm not all the way through yet. Jane had just entered the Medium and then I stopped reading so I could actually get other things done and then I never really picked it back up again. Now that it's summer, though, I probably will start up again one of these days.

I've been a fan of Homestuck since the beginning of ACT 3, when I friend told me of a 'sarcastic' comic. I feel in love with it. The feels are always a mess now.

Homestuck? My friends have been big fans for a while, so I finally decided to start reading it yesterday.
I mean, I know about the trolls and everything, but I feel really left out when they get into big Homestuck conversations and they start shipping me with characters I've never heard of before.
This is one of their only fandoms that isn't Anime-related (I'm not a big Anime fan) besides My Little Pony (not happening, sorry), so I thought I'd try reading Homestuck.

I just finished Act 3. Mannnn, it better be as good as my friends say.

I've been paying attention to every detail, but it's overkill to me. One more act, and I'll be done with the intro. Wish me luck.

One of my friends started bowing to me with thanks because I've been getting through the intro without skimming through it or skipping to act 5. I've been reading this thing for a few hours, I'm over page 3,000, and yet it hasn't really picked up much. I'm strangely addicted to it, even though it's not all that fascinating yet. I can tell that the plot is starting to pick up a little bit, and I can't wait to get into it.

I just thought I'd mention it to you Homestuck fans. I'll probably be joining in soon!

Last time I posted in this topic, I hadn't even met the trolls yet or anything, but now I'm all caught up. 😊 All of my friends are reading Homestuck now! We just sit around and wait for Andrew Hussie to update. 😋 I'll get used to that, though. Right after an update comes out, we all run to Tumblr. X3

We're cosplaying as Hs characters at a convention in March (yeah, we're getting a pretty early head start)... Vriska, Aradia, Terezi (Coincidence? I think not), Jade, and Jake (and the friend who is cosplaying as Jake hasn't even MET the alpha kids yet *facepalm*).

It's really fun. 😊 I guess we are *the Homestucks* at our school? X'D But it's one thing that we have in common now; Homestuck. I was starting to feel distant.

What convention are you going to? It's never too early to start planning for a con, I learned that long ago, my friend. I went to a con with @billiethekitty and I was Dirk, she was Nepeta, and Karkat and Jake were with us too ^^

Homestuck literally brings people together. It's fantastic.

OnO gaah I don't like Vriska >//< I don't like Aranea either. We'll have to put our differences behind us, I guess.
(There are soo many different types of homestuck fans and i'm sure they've gotten into many fights 😋 I try to stay nice xD

I haven't posted anything on Tumblr for a while, and I'm still sort of a n00b. X3 I'd rather not share my URL, I feel like it would just be a little embarassing. XD

We're planning on going to Anime Boston. My friends said all of the Homestucks cosplay at Anime conventions, and this one is pretty big. They dressed up last year as Anime characters, but next year we're trying to go all-out for some good HS cosplays. Only three of us are cosplaying as trolls, so we're working together on our costumes, especially with the makeup. And Halloween is near, so it's the perfect time to find some good supplies!

I don't like Aranea either. D8 Every time she comes up in an upd8, my friends and I just go nuts. I *really* don't like Aranea, yet Vriska is my favorite. o.o
I guess my favorites (in no particular order except for the first three) would be Vriska, Kanaya, Terezi, Dirk, Roxy, Equius, Karkat, and the Mayor. X3
...And how could I forget about Meenah? 😱

I like to be nice to other fans too, even if I don't always agree with their opinions. Honestly, the only character I really can't stand is Aranea. I'm fine with just about everyone else. 😊 I like to see how other fans are feeling. I like to know *why* they like certain characters. When I find out more about them, I start to like the other characters as well. That's why I really don't hate any of them that much. 😸
I've actually seen a few ridiculous Homestuck fights before, which is why I try not to run into that. 😱

XP Ah well, I live in Chicago so I wouldn't be able to go ;A; das okay. Yep, all the homestucks invade the anime conventions XD For my next con i'll probably go as Kaoru Hitachiin (Ouran High School) and then Kanaya ^^

Yay! I've never cosplayed before. Or been to a convention. And of course now, after making a supply list, I realized how complicated this cosplay will be. T.T At least I have another six months to work on it! 😃
I'm not really an Anime fan, but my friends watch tons of different Animes... But they've talked a lot about that one you mentioned!
I considered doing a Kanaya cosplay at first. My friends and I really had the same ideas as for the Homestuck trolls cosplay, but we didn't end up picking Kanaya. I like some good Kan cosplays though!

I really hope there are a lot of HS cosplayers! 😱 I think I'd feel more comfortable. Then again, we're all cosplaying as HS characters, so we'll still be our own group. 😸

The mayor! Squeeeeeeee! I love the mayor! It's 50/50 with my friends, some of us think he's adorable, but some of my friends think that Can Town was just a "waste of time". T.T
But the mayor! He is so cute! And he's probably the only entirely innocent character in the whole thing! It's just adorable!
The characters that my friends and I all like are Jade, Roxy, Dave, Rose, Kanaya, Dirk, Vriska, and Jake (and I say Sollux just because it makes them happy X3)

If you're interested, I found this page online that sorts your favorite characters by preference. It might take a few minutes, but it's pretty accurate!
