Autros remained quiet for a minute or two. He then looked at Zia, "... Fine, I can tell SOME things, but not much." he sighed, "But only if you say a bit about yourself." he said.

Zia nodded, "Ok," she said and thought for a moment. "Well as you probably know, Gryphons often lay their eggs and then leave them, never waiting to see them hatch, my siblings and I were in that situation. I was often picked on by my two older siblings because I was small and my feathers were black while theirs were white. Finally they flew away and left me to fend for myself, I made that nest my home. That's where I lived ever since, at least until now," she said as if it were as simple as that.

"Hm, I see. You must live in another corner of the country than me, my wings and tail already show that." Autros said, showing his dragon-like wing, "In my corner, the parents stayed with the child. But they could do anything they wanted to their child." he said, "My parents were not good hunters, so they would teach me at a young age and always force me to get food. If I did not, they would hit me and take a part of my next meal. At a moment, my parents asked for more and more food. I eventually got stuck in a blizzard. We lived near the mountains. So I came back with empty hands and broken bones. My parents would not kick me out, I was their only food bringer. So they had more children and they eventually almost killed me, so I ran away from home." he said in a calm voice.

Her wings are the same white except where it meets her body. There it blends. Her mane and tail are a sparkly white (same white) and look nice and elegant.

Zia nodded, "Very different then where I live. I have many gryphons and none of them knew their parents. It must have been hard to have to hunt for 3 and then if you didn't hunt enough you were injured. Though that is probably what made you stronger," Zia guessed.

"Hm, maybe. I guess so." Autros said, a bit of anger in his voice. He had been lying the whole time, "Now I can go to sleep." he said, yawning.

Zia shrugged, "I guess." She seemed a bit unsure, everything she had heard about all gryphons was that they were almost always abandoned before they hatched, no matter where she lived. She wondered why Autros' family would keep him around for so long, despite the fact that they weren't good hunters.

Zia shrugged, "I'm not tired you guys get some sleep and I'll keep look out for those weird two-legged monsters in case they try to attack while we sleep." She said curling up so that she was facing the door.

"Anyways, I'm going to go now. And I'm not going to answer your question cause yah might get mad." Andrew chuckled, walking away.

Zia kept awake and she began to preen her feathers once again. After coming back from hunting she had gotten twigs and leaves stuck in her feathers and a lot of them were out of place.

Autros opened his eyes and looked at Zia, "What happened to you?" he asked.

Andrew then walked to the place where Autros had attacked him. His injuries were now gone, since he had used a potion made from dragons scales and pixie wings. He then looked around and followed the footsteps.

Zia shrugged, "When I went hunting one of my wings got stuck in a tree so I'm just trying to get all the twigs and leaves out of it." She said and continued on.

Autros stared at her for a while, "She reminds me of her..." he softly whispered, shaking his head. He then got up and plucked the leaves out of her wings, "Here, I'm going to help you. You might be our only food catcher. Other than that lizard." he huffed, looking at Gywn.

"Thanks," Zia said and she though she had heard him say something but she hadn't been able to make put what he had said. "What did you say?" She asked him and she gently plucked a twig, one that had gotten stuck in her black feathers, out of her feathers.

"...It's nothing." Autros growled, accidentaly ripping off a feather from Zia's wing, "Sorry. I lost my concentration." he groaned. His eyes seemed misty.

Zia winced but shook off the pain. He noticed her misty eyes and she sighed, "Are you ok?" She asked him worriedly, noticing his distraction.

Autros ripped another feather by accident, "Sorry." he said, getting away from her. He then hid his eyes with his wings, "I'm fine, don't worry." he snarled.

Zia winced again and said, "You aren't fine, and my wings can agree with me. Now what's wrong, please tell me." She asked softly as she tried to move his wings out of his face.

"I'm fine!" Autros snarled, snapping his beak in front of Zia's face. He then turned his body so his face was facing the corner of the cave.

"... Fine. I'll tell you..." Autros sighed. He then turned around and looked at Zia, "First things first... The story about my family was a lie. The reason I'm different from the others was because I was born from the mix of a saphire dragon and a black gryphon. I lived in a royal family, until both my parents were killed in front of my bare eyes. I was then travelling the country, being sold and bought countless times, until I was adopted by a couple of two rich gryphons. They raised me with care and love and we lived in a neighbourhood filled with pure gryphons."

"The others would always tease and laugh at me for being part dragon. But there was this one gryphon... her name was Lilian. She was nice with me, she accepted me for who I was. So, I feel in love with her. But she betrayed me. She was already dating some other gryphon all along. She humiliated me in front of the others... And... I killed her..." Autros said, shivering. He then took a deep breath, "I killed her in front of the others..."

@hedwig68 Really? 😱 I did not know that was that sad... o^o Ok, well I have to admit it IS really sad. ;_; ZIAAAA.

"...I'm not done yet..." Autros sighed, "The other gryphons then all told their parents. My parents were executed because I was a murderer. I was able to escape from the village before I was next. I then had to survive years, struggling to find shelter and food, moving from place to place." he said, "Until I found a female named Uca. She almost looked like you... I feel in love, but I never confessed it since I was afraid she would betray me. But she confessed her love to me and we lived together..." he said, slightly smiling, "Until she got sick. We had already gotten an egg, but it was still far from hatching. I tried everything to keep her alive... But she died.... Leaving me with the egg... Eventually, I lost the egg after months of taking care of it. I though I was worthless... So I ried killing myself... But a young gryphon stopped me in the process... And thats when I continued life."

Zia blinked for a moment as if that hadn't been expecting. She then gently stood up and went to sit in frot of Autros. "Wow, I can't say that I understand you but I realize why you didn't want to tell me." She began, "It must have been terrible just to see your parents die in front of your eyes and have to deal with that though for the ret of your life. It is terrible that anybody made fun of you because you weren't a purebred gryphon, it doesn't matter what's on the outside by what's on the inside is what counts." She signed and continued, "You might have fallen in love with Lilian but love works in many strange ways, maybe that was the universe telling you that she wasn't the one right for you. They had no right to kill hot adoptive parents and it isn't your fault that you stood up for yourself, it was the other gryphons' fault for teasing you. It is tragic that you lost yet another love, even sorse since you lost her to a cruel thing: sickness and death.
